RTTBROS

By Gene Kissinger

We need to redeem the time as the passage in Ephesians 5 states BECAUSE the days are evil. It is vital as believers that we learn to discern. We need to acquire wisdom so we can walk in truth. Wisdom is word based and God given. We learn it from the word of God and ultimately from the God who gave us the Word. My brother Norman and I are going to be setting up a ministry and under this ministry umbrella we will establish a YouTube channel here

Unshakable Foundation Deut 32:4 #RTTBROS #Nightlight

The Unshakable Foundation of God's Truth

"He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he." (Deuteronomy 32:4, KJV)

In a world where the very concept of truth seems to be crumbling, it's crucial for believers to anchor their lives upon the solid foundation of God's unchanging truth. As Moses declares in his song, our God is a "God of truth," and this fundamental attribute sets Him apart from the lies and deception of the enemy.

The battle we face is not merely against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness that seek to obscure and distort the truth. By manipulating what people perceive as truth, the enemy can control their actions and lead them astray. As Christians, we must stand firm on the revelation of God's Word, trusting in its validity and sufficiency for every aspect of life.

The Psalmist echoes this confidence in God's truth, proclaiming, "Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth" (Psalm 31:5, KJV). In times of uncertainty and turmoil, we can entrust our very lives into the hands of the God who cannot lie. His Word becomes our anchor, providing wisdom, guidance, and stability when everything else seems to be falling apart.

As we navigate the challenges and decisions of life, let us remember that we serve a God of truth. May this knowledge strengthen our faith, shape our worldview, and empower us to live as uncompromising witnesses for Christ. In a culture of confusion, may we be unwavering beacons of God's eternal truth.

Prayer: Almighty God, I thank You that You are the God of truth. When the world around me seems to be in chaos, I choose to anchor my life upon the solid rock of Your Word. Give me discernment to recognize and resist the lies of the enemy, and grant me boldness to proclaim Your truth in a world that desperately needs it. In Jesus' name, Amen.

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7, KJV)

Anxiety is something that plagues many Christians today. The stresses and cares of life can often feel overwhelming, causing us to worry and fret. But as children of God, we are called to trust Him fully, casting all our cares upon Him (1 Peter 5:7).

The Apostle Paul, who faced immense trials and hardships, exhorts us in Philippians to "Be careful for nothing" - in other words, do not be anxious about anything. Instead, we are to bring everything to God in prayer, with thanksgiving.

This is not always easy to do. When faced with dire circumstances, our natural inclination is often to worry. But Paul is clear - the antidote to anxiety is prayer. By humbling ourselves before God, acknowledging our neediness and dependence on Him, and expressing gratitude for His goodness and faithfulness, we open the way for His supernatural peace to guard our hearts and minds.

This peace "passeth all understanding." It transcends our circumstances and human reasoning. It is not the absence of problems, but a deep, abiding sense of God's presence and sovereignty in the midst of them. It provides stability, security and soundness of mind, even in life's storms.

Achieving this peace starts with having a right relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ. It grows as we cultivate that relationship through regular prayer and thanksgiving. While anxiety may still come, as we consistently bring our requests to Him, we will increasingly experience His peace.

Whatever you are facing today, bring it to the Lord in prayer. Thank Him in advance for how He will undertake. Entrust yourself and your circumstances to His loving care. And let His perfect peace be your portion. May you find blessed rest and freedom from anxiety as you abide in Him.

All Sufficient Grace

"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." - 2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)

In this passage, the Apostle Paul speaks of a profound truth: God's grace is all we need to overcome our struggles and weaknesses. Despite the many trials and tribulations Paul faced, he found comfort and strength in the knowledge that God's grace was sufficient for him.

Just as Paul experienced hardships, we too may face thorns in our flesh - physical, emotional, or spiritual challenges that seem overwhelming at times. These trials can leave us feeling weak, helpless, and alone. However, it is in these moments of weakness that we can truly experience the power of God's all-sufficient grace.

When we humble ourselves and acknowledge our need for God's help, His strength is made perfect in our weakness. It is not through our own abilities or merits that we overcome, but through the power of Christ working within us. This realization should lead us to a place of gratitude and humility, as we recognize that every victory is a testament to God's grace.

Moreover, as we navigate the difficulties of life, we can find solace in the fact that we are not alone. Just as the church in Corinth rallied around Paul, we too have a community of believers who can offer prayer, encouragement, and practical support. By bearing one another's burdens and sharing in each other's joys, we demonstrate the love of Christ and experience the beauty of His all-sufficient grace.

In times of weakness, let us not despair, but rather embrace the opportunity to witness God's power at work in our lives. As we lean on His grace, we will find the strength to persevere and the courage to face each new challenge with faith and hope.

Remember, God's grace is not dependent on our performance or worthiness. It is a free gift, given to us through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. When we place our trust in Him, we can rest assured that His grace will carry us through every trial and every victory.

So, let us rejoice in our weaknesses, knowing that they provide an opportunity for God's strength to shine through. May we, like Paul, gladly glory in our infirmities, so that the power of Christ may rest upon us and His all-sufficient grace may be made evident to all.

As we go forth, let us cling to the promise found in 2 Corinthians 12:9, confident that God's grace is indeed sufficient for us, no matter what challenges we may face. May we find comfort, strength, and hope in the all-sufficient grace of our loving Heavenly Father.

The Anxiety Epidemic #RTTBROS #Nightlight #NK #Normankissinger

Bible Verse:

"Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." - Psalm 139:23-24 (KJV)

Devotion:

In today's fast-paced and often uncertain world, anxiety has become a prevalent issue for many people. As Christians, we must understand that while anxiety can stem from various sources, such as physical problems or spiritual attacks, it is often related to our relationship with God.

The Psalmist in Psalm 139:23-24 invites God to search his heart, revealing any wickedness or anxiety within. This passage suggests that anxiety may be linked to our position in relation to God. When we fail to humble ourselves, repent of our rebellious hearts, and seek God's love and forgiveness through Jesus Christ, we may experience heightened levels of anxiety.

As human beings, we often attempt to play God and solve our own problems. However, this prideful approach only leads to more anxiety, as we realize our inability to control every aspect of our lives. True peace comes from surrendering ourselves wholly to God and trusting in His divine plan.

In Philippians 4:6-7, Paul encourages us to "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (KJV)

By anchoring ourselves in God's truth and seeking Him through prayer, we can experience the peace that surpasses all understanding. Christian counseling plays a vital role in helping individuals navigate anxiety by guiding them back to the truth found in God's Word.

As you reflect on your own life, ask God to search your heart and reveal any areas where you may not be fully trusting in Him. While not all anxiety is a result of a lack of faith, it can often serve as a thermometer, indicating areas where we need to surrender more fully to God.

Remember, God loves you and desires to lead you in the way everlasting. By drawing closer to Him and allowing His truth to guide your life, you can experience the peace and comfort that only He can provide.

I Am On My Way. Heb 9:27 #RTTBROS #Nightlight

I Am On My Way

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" (Hebrews 9:27, KJV)

Recently, a friend on Facebook gave a creative writing assignment to take the last text message sent and turn it into a sermon. My last text simply said, "I am on my way." This got me thinking about our journey through life and our ultimate destination. Let's turn to the Word of God for wisdom.

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" (Hebrews 9:27, KJV)

Death is an inevitable part of the human experience. It comes to us all, often suddenly and without warning. As the author of Hebrews solemnly reminds us, "it is appointed unto men once to die." We cannot escape this fate.

Yet for the believer in Christ, death is not the end. It is merely a departure from this earthly life as we journey swiftly home to be with our Lord and Savior. Paul tells us that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). Though we grieve the loss of loved ones, we do not grieve as those who have no hope, for we know we will be reunited again.

In the final chapter of God's Word, Jesus gives us this blessed assurance: "Surely I come quickly" (Revelation 22:20, KJV). In response, we cry out with the apostle John, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus." What hope and comfort this gives us! Our Savior is on His way to bring us into His glorious presence forevermore.

So let us live with heaven in view, eagerly awaiting that day, and seeking to bring others with us. As you go about your day today, take heart that for the believer, the best is yet to come. Jesus is on His way - look up, for your redemption draws near! Let us be found faithfully serving Him. Amen.

The Cussing Cat Phippians 2:14 #RTTBROS #Nightlight

The Cat-astrophic Consequence of Complaining

Bible Verse: "Do all things without murmurings and disputings:" - Philippians 2:14 (KJV)

Devotion:

Our feline friend's incessant complaining about his dinner bowl not being filled to the brim, even when it's not empty, reminds us of how we often behave in our own lives. Just like the cat who disrupts the entire household's sleep, we too can fall into the trap of focusing on what we lack rather than being grateful for what we already have.

The Bible warns us against this behavior in Philippians 2:14 (KJV), urging us to "Do all things without murmurings and disputings." When we constantly complain, we not only rob ourselves of joy and contentment but also strain our relationships with others.

Just as the cat's habit of complaining has led to him being moved outside, our own complaining spirit can cost us dearly. It can push away those closest to us and hinder our personal growth. We must recognize that true happiness and a life of constant complaints cannot coexist.

Take a moment to reflect on the genuinely happy people in your life. You'll likely find that none of them are chronic complainers. They choose to focus on the blessings they have rather than dwelling on what they lack.

As Christians, we are called to cultivate a spirit of gratitude and contentment. When we shift our perspective from what we don't have to what God has already provided, we open the door to true joy and peace.

Let us learn from the cat's mistakes and strive to break free from the habit of complaining. Instead, let us fill our hearts with thanksgiving and trust in God's provision. By doing so, we can experience the abundant life that Christ has promised us.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, forgive me for the times I have allowed a spirit of complaining to take root in my heart. Help me to focus on the blessings You have bestowed upon me and cultivate a heart of gratitude. May I do all things without murmurings and disputings, finding joy and contentment in You alone. In Jesus' name, Amen.

The Power Of Words #RTTBROS #Nightlight

The Power Of Words #RTTBROS #Nightlight

The Power Of Words Pro. 18:21 #RTTBROS #Nightlight

The Power of Words

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." (Proverbs 18:21, KJV)

Our words hold immense power, not only when we speak to others but also when we engage in self-talk. The Bible reminds us that our tongue has the ability to bring forth both death and life. The words we use to frame our thoughts and experiences can significantly impact our perception and, consequently, our lives.

Illustration 1:

Consider a student who consistently tells herself, "I am not good at math. I will never understand these concepts." By repeating these negative phrases, she reinforces a belief that hinders her progress. However, if she changes her self-talk to, "I am constantly learning and improving in math. With practice and perseverance, I will grasp these concepts," she shifts her mindset to one of growth and possibility. This simple change in language can alter her approach to studying and ultimately lead to better performance.

Illustration 2:

Imagine a person who often says, "I have to go to work today." This phrase carries a sense of burden and obligation. Now, consider the difference when the same person says, "I get to go to work today." Suddenly, the focus shifts to gratitude and opportunity. By recognizing that having a job is a privilege, the individual's experience of work becomes more positive and fulfilling. The circumstances remain the same, but the language used to describe them transforms the person's outlook.

As we navigate through life, let us be mindful of the words we use in our self-talk. Let us choose phrases that uplift, encourage, and inspire us to see the best in ourselves and our situations. When we encounter challenges, let us speak life over them, declaring, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Philippians 4:13, KJV). By aligning our words with faith and positivity, we open ourselves to experience the abundant life God has intended for us.

Remember, our words are not merely empty sounds; they carry the power to shape our thoughts, emotions, and actions. As we consciously guide our self-talk, we will witness a transformation in our lives. We will find ourselves approaching obstacles with courage, embracing opportunities with enthusiasm, and living each day with a greater sense of purpose and joy.

So, let us heed the wisdom of Proverbs and use our words to speak life over ourselves and others. May our self-talk be a fountain of encouragement, faith, and love, guiding us closer to the path God has ordained for us.

CHICKEN ON A JUNE BUG Pr. 6:6-9#RTTBROS #Nightlight

Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: 7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,

8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. Pr. 6:6-9

In the old days, folks had a saying for just about every situation, and one that always stuck with me is "Jump on something like a chicken on a June bug." Now, you might be wondering what in the world that means, but bear with me, and I'll explain.

You see, when a chicken spots a juicy June bug, it doesn't just sit there and wait for someone else to come along and catch it. No sir! That chicken jumps into action, chasing down that bug with all the enthusiasm and determination it can muster. It knows that if it wants to enjoy the tasty treat, it has to act fast and get the job done.

The same principle applies to our lives, especially when it comes to taking care of our homes. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 31:27, "She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness." This verse reminds us that it's our responsibility to tend to the tasks and chores that keep our homes running smoothly.

When we see something that needs doing around the house, whether it's fixing a leaky faucet, mowing the lawn, or cleaning out the gutters, we shouldn't wait for someone else to take care of it. We should jump on it like a chicken on a June bug, tackling the task with energy and resolve.

By taking initiative and being proactive in our household duties, we demonstrate our love and care for the home God has blessed us with. We also set a positive example for our family members, showing them the value of hard work and responsibility.

So, the next time you spot a chore that needs tending to, remember the old saying and jump on it like a chicken on a June bug. Your home will thank you, and you'll be living out the wisdom of Proverbs 31:27.

Abide in Truth: The Key to Freedom

"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:31-32 (KJV)

In a world where the concept of truth seems to be eroding, Jesus' words in John 8:31-32 serve as a beacon of hope and a call to anchor ourselves in His unchanging truth. As believers, we must recognize that the emotional instability and mental illness pervading our society today can be traced, in part, to a failure to abide in God's Word.

When we embrace the lie that truth is subjective and that everyone has their own version of it, we set ourselves adrift in a sea of confusion and self-delusion. We see the consequences all around us – people unable to cope with reality, rejecting truth in favor of their own misguided perceptions.

Yet, as Jesus reminds us, it is only by continuing in His Word that we can be His disciples and experience true freedom. The Bible, as the infallible Word of God, serves as our ultimate authority and arbiter of truth. When we align our lives with its principles and guidelines, we find stability, clarity, and purpose.

The truth is that we are all sinners in need of a Savior. No amount of self-justification or denial can change this fundamental reality. However, when we humbly acknowledge our sinfulness and turn to Christ for forgiveness and transformation, we begin the journey of walking in truth.

As ministers of the gospel, it is our sacred duty to proclaim the truth of God's Word, even when it runs counter to the prevailing cultural narrative. We must lovingly confront the lies and deceptions that hold people captive, pointing them to the liberating power of Christ.

In a world that increasingly rejects absolute truth, we may be viewed as foolish or even crazy. Yet, as we stand firm on the solid foundation of God's Word, we become beacons of sanity and hope, drawing others to the truth that sets them free.

So let us commit ourselves to abiding in Christ's Word, allowing it to shape our thoughts, actions, and perceptions. As we do, we will experience the freedom and stability that comes from knowing and living out the truth. May we be a people who, in the midst of a truth-starved world, boldly proclaim, "Thy word is truth" (John 17:17, KJV).

The Harvest #RTTBROS #Nightlight

The Harvest #RTTBROS #Nightlight

The Harvest Gal 6:7 #RTTBROS #Nightlight

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." - Galatians 6:7 (KJV)

The law of unintended consequences is a powerful principle that applies to every aspect of our lives, including our spiritual journey. As believers, we are saved by God's grace and forgiven of every sin through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. However, this does not exempt us from the consequences of our choices, particularly those that are sinful.

The Bible teaches us that we will reap what we sow. If a farmer plants corn, he cannot expect to harvest watermelons. Similarly, if we sow seeds of sin in our lives, we cannot expect to reap a harvest of blessing and peace. In fact, we will reap more than we sow, and the harvest will come later than the planting.

This principle is not meant to discourage us but to encourage us to walk circumspectly, carefully considering our choices and their potential consequences. We must strive to avoid sinful decisions that can lead to a horrible harvest of pain, regret, and brokenness.

Instead, let us sow seeds of righteousness, love, and obedience to God's Word. By doing so, we can trust that God will bless us with a bountiful harvest of joy, peace, and purpose. As we navigate life's challenges and temptations, may we always remember that our choices matter and that God's grace empowers us to live a life that honors Him.

In conclusion, while we are saved by grace, we must not ignore the law of unintended consequences. Let us walk wisely, sowing seeds that will yield a harvest of blessing, and trusting in God's love and guidance every step of the way.

Not Offended Ps. 119:165 #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Not Offended

"Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them." - Psalm 119:165 (KJV)

In life, we often face situations that have the potential to offend us. However, being offended is a choice we make based on the stories we tell ourselves about the events that happen to us. The Bible provides us with examples of individuals who chose not to be offended, even in the face of adversity.

Consider the life of Joseph in the Old Testament. Despite being sold into slavery by his own brothers and facing numerous challenges, Joseph chose not to be offended. When he was reunited with his brothers years later, he told them, "But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive." (Genesis 50:20, KJV)

In contrast, Job, another Old Testament saint, lamented, "Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble." (Job 14:1, KJV) While Job faced immense suffering, he ultimately recognized God's sovereignty and chose not to be offended by his circumstances.

As believers, we have the power to choose our response to the events in our lives. When we trust in God's goodness and sovereignty, we can find peace and avoid being easily offended.

Key takeaways:

Being offended is a choice we make based on our perspective and the stories we tell ourselves.

We can choose to trust in God's goodness and sovereignty, even in the face of adversity.

Not being easily offended leads to greater peace and the ability to see God's hand at work in our lives.

By embracing these truths, we can experience the benefits of not being offended, including increased peace, stronger relationships, and a deeper understanding of God's plan for our lives.

The Staff in Our Hands

Exodus 4:2 (KJV) - "And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod."

lets reflect upon the simplicity of Moses' staff. It was an ordinary shepherd's tool, yet chosen by God to perform extraordinary feats. This staff, when cast down before Pharaoh, became a serpent; when lifted, it parted the Red Sea. It was a symbol of God's power working through what Moses already had in his hand.

As we meditate on this passage, let us consider our own 'staffs'—the talents, resources, and opportunities God has placed within our grasp. Often, we overlook the potential of what we already possess, seeking grand solutions while ignoring the humble instruments God has provided.

Psalms 90:17 (KJV) "And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it."

Pray that the Lord blesses and establishes the work of your hands. May He guide you to use your abilities and resources for His glory and the betterment of those around you.

Isaiah 41:13 (KJV) "For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee."

Take comfort in knowing that God is holding your hand, leading you through every challenge. Trust that with His help, you can use what is at hand to overcome any obstacle.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for reminding us that You can use the ordinary to manifest the extraordinary. Help us to see the value in what we have and to use it wisely. May we trust in Your provision and guidance, knowing that with You, all things are possible. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Trauma Transformation Rom 12:1-2 #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Trauma Transformation Romans 12:1-2

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Change, though often traumatic, is a necessary part of life. Just as the bullfrog and butterfly must endure the trauma of transformation to reach their most mature form, we too must face the challenges of change to grow and develop. In life, there are two directions of change: generative change, which is positive, and degenerative change, which is negative. We never remain in stasis; we either grow or atrophy, and the same is true for our spiritual lives.

The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Romans, urges us to embrace the transformative power of God's love. He calls us to offer ourselves as living sacrifices, wholly devoted to God, and to resist conforming to the patterns of this world. Instead, we are to allow God to renew our minds, enabling us to discern His perfect will for our lives.

This process of transformation can be painful, as it often requires us to confront our past traumas, fears, and failures. However, by surrendering to God's transformative power, we open ourselves up to the possibility of profound healing and growth. As we allow God to reshape our minds and hearts, we begin to see the world through His eyes and to live in accordance with His will.

Just as the bullfrog and butterfly emerge from their transformations as new creatures, we too can emerge from our traumas as renewed and transformed individuals. By embracing generative change and allowing God to guide us, we can experience the joy and freedom that comes from living in alignment with His purpose for our lives.

So let us not shy away from the traumas of transformation, but instead, let us trust in God's merciful love and allow Him to mold us into the people He created us to be. May we offer ourselves as living sacrifices, constantly seeking to grow in faith and love, and may we experience the abundant life that comes from walking in the center of God's will.

Galloping in God's Grace

Verse: "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." - 2 Corinthians 3:17 (KJV)

SEATTLE (AP) — A zebra that escaped from a trailer east of Seattle last weekend remained on the lam Friday, as authorities closed off trailheads at a nature area in hopes of keeping people away and easing her capture.

The zebra was one of four that escaped as they were being transported from Washington to Montana last Sunday. The driver had taken the Interstate 90 exit for North Bend, in the Cascade mountain foothills about 30 miles (48 kilometers) east of Seattle, to secure the trailer, when the zebras got loose, surprising residents and drivers as they galloped into a rural neighborhood.

Three were quickly captured after being corralled in a pasture. But the fourth — a mare called “Z” — hopped a fence and has proved more elusive, spawning popular social media memes that have placed the animal everywhere from riding a ferry across Puget Sound to rounding the bases at T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners.

The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 3:17 (KJV), "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." Just as those zebras broke free from their confines, we too can experience the liberation that comes from the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we are no longer bound by the shackles of sin and guilt. The Spirit of the Lord dwells within us, granting us the freedom to live abundantly in His grace. We are set free to run the race set before us, not weighed down by the burdens of our past or the worries of our future.

As the zebras galloped with joy, their stripes a beautiful testament to their uniqueness, we too can celebrate the individuality God has given each of us. In Christ, we are free to be who He created us to be, unhindered by the expectations or limitations of this world.

So let us embrace the liberty we have in the Lord, allowing His Spirit to guide us as we gallop through life with purpose and passion. May we, like those zebras, bring unexpected joy and wonder to those around us as we live out our freedom in Christ.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the freedom we have in Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to fully embrace the liberty that comes from Your Spirit dwelling within us. Grant us the courage to break free from the confines of sin and to gallop with joy in Your abundant grace. May our lives be a testament to the freedom found in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

The Ripple Effect of Your Testimony

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." (Revelation 12:11 KJV)

In a world filled with darkness and despair, our personal testimonies of God's grace and transformative power serve as beacons of hope. Just as a small pebble creates far-reaching ripples when dropped into a still pond, the impact of our stories can extend far beyond our immediate circles of influence.

The book of Revelation reminds us that the saints overcame the enemy "by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony." Your testimony is a unique and powerful weapon in the spiritual battle for souls. It is a firsthand account of how Jesus Christ has changed your life, and it has the potential to inspire others to seek Him.

Consider the story of Billy Graham, a man whose ministry touched millions of lives across the globe. His journey to faith began at a poorly attended revival meeting. The preacher could have easily become discouraged by the small crowd and decided to cancel the event. However, he chose to obediently share the gospel, and that night, a young Billy Graham responded to the call of salvation. The rest, as they say, is history.

This story illustrates the profound impact that sharing your faith can have. You may never know the full extent of how your testimony will influence others, but you can trust that God will use your obedience to accomplish His purposes. Your story might be the catalyst that leads someone to accept Christ, setting off a chain reaction of transformed lives.

Therefore, let us boldly proclaim what Jesus has done for us. Share your testimony with courage and conviction, knowing that it has the power to change someone's eternal destiny. Remember, your story is not about your perfection, but rather about God's grace and mercy in your life. As you step out in faith and share your experiences, trust that the Holy Spirit will guide your words and touch the hearts of those who hear them.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the power of testimony. Help me to recognize the opportunities You place before me to share my story of faith. Give me boldness, wisdom, and compassion as I tell others about the transformative work You have done in my life. May my testimony be a light that points others to Your love and grace. Use my story to bring glory to Your name and to lead others into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Shining #RTTBROS Nightlight

The Shining Matt 5:16 #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Shining the Light in the Darkness

You are the lighthouse in someone else's storm.

Verse: "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16 KJV)

Just as a lighthouse warns ships of danger and guides them to safety, the church is called to be a beacon of hope in a lost world. We must never lose sight of our primary purpose - to reach the lost with the life-saving message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In a culture that is increasingly hostile to biblical truth, may we have the courage to keep our light shining brightly, even in the face of opposition. Let us commit to being a church that faithfully proclaims the Word of God and ministers to those in need of rescue.

As we strive to fulfill our mission, we must remember that our actions speak louder than our words. It is not enough to simply preach the gospel; we must also live it out in our daily lives. When we demonstrate the love, compassion, and grace of Christ through our interactions with others, we become living testimonies of the transformative power of the gospel. May our good works be a reflection of the goodness and mercy of our Heavenly Father, drawing others to the light of His presence.

In a world that is often filled with darkness and despair, the light of Christ shines through us as a beacon of hope. Just as a lighthouse guides ships safely to shore, we must be ready to offer guidance, support, and encouragement to those who are lost and struggling. By extending a helping hand, a listening ear, or a word of comfort, we can make a profound impact on the lives of those around us. May we be sensitive to the needs of others and always ready to share the hope that we have in Christ.

As we navigate the challenges and obstacles that come our way, let us remember that we are not alone in our mission. We are part of a global community of believers, united in our faith and our purpose. When we stand together as the body of Christ, our light shines even brighter, piercing through the darkness and illuminating the path to salvation. May we find strength and encouragement in the support and prayers of our brothers and sisters in Christ, knowing that together, we can make a difference in this world for the glory of God.

In conclusion, let us embrace our calling as the church to be a lighthouse in a world that desperately needs the light of Christ. May we boldly proclaim the truth of God's Word, live out our faith with authenticity and compassion, and minister to those in need of hope and healing. As we keep our light shining brightly, we trust that God will use our efforts to draw others to Himself and ultimately bring glory to His name.

Wiping Away the Past, Focusing on the Present

"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV)

Driving to work on a rainy morning, I found myself struggling with the intermittent wipers on the front windshield. As I focused on clearing the rear window, which had become opaque with rain, I inadvertently missed my turn. This experience serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of focusing on the present rather than becoming mired in the past.

In life, we often find ourselves dwelling on past mistakes, regrets, or even successes. While it is important to learn from our experiences, we must not allow them to consume us to the point where we lose sight of the present and the opportunities that lie ahead.

The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Philippians, emphasizes the significance of letting go of the past and pressing forward: "But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ." (Philippians 3:7, KJV). Paul understood that his past, both his accomplishments and his failures, had to be put in perspective to fully embrace his new life in Christ.

Just as I had to refocus my attention from the rear window to the road ahead, we must learn to shift our focus from the past to the present. We cannot allow ourselves to be so consumed by what lies behind that we miss the turns and opportunities God has placed before us.

God's word encourages us to trust in His guidance and to keep our eyes fixed on Him: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6, KJV).

As we navigate the winding roads of life, let us remember to keep our focus on the present, seeking God's direction and trusting in His plan. May we not be hindered by the rains of the past, but instead, press on toward the prize of our high calling in Christ Jesus.

Not My Kid

Verse: "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus." - Galatians 3:26 (KJV)

When mom was talking about going to the store with her to toddlers And she said to them their cars here in this parking lot so everybody take a hand. The older toddler of hers looked at a boy in front of them that was walking without holding a hand and said what about him he's not holding anybody's hand. And the mom looks down at her toddler and says, "He's not my kid!"

In this busy world, it's easy to look around and compare ourselves to others. We might see someone seemingly getting away with things that we as Christians know are wrong, and wonder why we can't do the same. It's in these moments that we must remember - they're not God's kids.

As children of God, we are called to a higher standard. We bear His name and represent His character to a lost world. Just as the toddler in the story was held to a different standard than the other child because he belonged to his mother, we too are held to a different standard because we belong to God.

It's not always easy to live up to this standard. We may be tempted to follow the crowd or compromise our values for the sake of fitting in. But we must remember that our identity is found in Christ, not in the world.

As sons and daughters of God, we have been adopted into His family through faith in Jesus Christ. This means that we are no longer slaves to sin, but rather we are free to live a life that honors and glorifies our heavenly Father.

So let us not be discouraged when we see others seemingly getting away with things that we cannot. Instead, let us fix our eyes on Jesus and strive to live a life worthy of the calling we have received. For we are not just any kids - we are children of the Most High God.

Stepping Stones to Spiritual Strength

"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen." - 2 Peter 3:18 KJV

Just as you've embarked on a journey of physical fitness by taking small yet significant steps, spiritual fitness too can be nurtured through gradual and consistent efforts. The essence of growth, both physical and spiritual, lies in the willingness to start, no matter how small the beginning may seem.

Here a Little, There a Little

In the realm of the spirit, every act of faith, every moment spent in prayer, and every scripture pondered upon contributes to our spiritual endurance. Like the body that strengthens with each climb up the stairs, our spirit fortifies with every truth we embrace and apply.

Line Upon Line

Our spiritual journey is a progression, not a sprint. It's about adding layer upon layer of understanding, precept upon precept, building a robust foundation of faith that can withstand the winds of doubt and the storms of life.

From Faith to Faith

With each step forward, our faith deepens. What begins as a mustard seed of belief blossoms into a tree of trust, rooted in the knowledge of God's grace and love. It's a transformative process that turns the smallest of starts into a lifetime of spiritual fitness.

The Starting Point

Remember, the smallest act in faith is infinitely more potent than the grandest intention. It's the starting point that sets the course for a journey of a thousand miles. So, take heart in the knowledge that something, indeed, is better than nothing, for it marks the beginning of growth.

Embraced by Grace: Living From Acceptance

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:"

Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)

In the journey of faith, we often face the towering giant of rejection, a formidable foe that whispers doubts and insecurities into our hearts. Yet, in the battle against this Goliath, we must remember a pivotal truth: we do not fight for acceptance from God; we fight from the acceptance of God.

Consider the moment Jesus emerged from the waters of the Jordan River. Before He had performed any miracles, before He had fed the multitudes or raised Lazarus, God declared from the heavens, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" (Matthew 3:17 KJV). Jesus had not yet embarked on His public ministry, yet He was already enveloped in the Father's approval.

This divine endorsement was not a result of Jesus's works; it was a testament to His identity. Similarly, our acceptance by God is not a trophy to be earned through deeds or merits. It is a matter of grace, a gift freely given, independent of our actions.

As we navigate through life's challenges, let us draw strength from this profound truth. Our worth in the eyes of the Almighty is not contingent upon our successes or failures. We are cherished because we are His creation, crafted in His image, and redeemed by His love.

So let us live not for the acceptance of God, but from it. Let our actions, our love, our very lives be an outpouring of the grace that has already claimed us. For in understanding that we are accepted, we find the courage to slay our giants and the freedom to fulfill our God-given potential.

Change Your Thoughts

Change Your Thoughts

Change Your Thoughts #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he..." -Proverbs 23:7 (KJV)

Our thoughts have incredible power to shape our lives. The Bible tells us that as a person thinks in their heart, so they are. In other words, our inner thought life determines the course and quality of our outer lives.

The Israelites are a prime example. After being miraculously delivered from slavery in Egypt, their minds remained imprisoned by negative thinking. Despite God's daily supernatural provision, they grumbled and complained, viewing their circumstances through the lens of lack and limitation.

How often do we fall into the same trap? We face each day thinking "I have to go to work" or "I have to deal with this problem" rather than "I get to use my abilities to provide for my family" and "I have an opportunity to grow and overcome challenges."

When we change our perspective, we change our reality. Choosing to think hope-filled, positive thoughts aligns us with God's goodness and primes us to receive His blessings. As Jesus said, "According to your faith be it unto you." (Matthew 9:29)

Today, refuse to be held captive by negative thought patterns. Win the battle in your mind by taking each thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Fix your thoughts on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). As you transform your thinking, expect to see your life transformed!

Let's pray: "Lord, forgive me for negative thoughts that have held me back. I choose to think as You think - thoughts of hope and blessing. Renew my mind and help me view my life through eyes of faith. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Back To Bethel Gen 35:1 #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Back to Bethel

King James Version (Genesis 35:1)

"And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother."

In the journey of life, there are moments when we encounter God in profound ways. These are the Bethel moments– the times when heaven touches earth, and our hearts are forever changed. But as time passes, we often drift away from those sacred places and lose sight of the impact they had on our lives.

When Jacob received this divine instruction to return to Bethel, it wasn't just about revisiting a physical location. It was a call to reconnect with the God who had met him there. Bethel was the place where Jacob had seen the ladder reaching to heaven, where angels ascended and descended. It was a place of encounter, revelation, and transformation.

Similarly, in our lives, there are Bethel moments – times when God revealed Himself, spoke to our hearts, and changed our course. Maybe it was during a worship service, a quiet prayer, or a moment of crisis. These are the places where we felt His presence, heard His voice, and knew we were not alone.

But life has a way of pulling us away. We get busy, distracted, and sometimes wounded. We forget the promises made at Bethel. We lose sight of the altar we built there. And in the process, we disconnect from the God who met us.

Yet, just as God instructed Jacob to return to Bethel, He invites us to do the same. It's not about physical travel; it's about a heart journey. We need to go back to those sacred moments, those altars of encounter, and rekindle our relationship with God.

And it's not just about us. Bethel was also a place of reconciliation for Jacob. It was where he made peace with Esau, the brother he had deceived. Going back to Bethel meant facing the past, forgiving, and rebuilding broken relationships.

Likewise, as we return to our spiritual Bethels, we may find people waiting – those who impacted our lives, those we need to forgive, and those we need to embrace. It's a place of healing, restoration, and renewed connections.

So, let's heed the call: "Arise, go up to Bethel." Let's revisit those moments of encounter, build new altars, and reconnect with God. And as we do, may we also find reconciliation with others – for Bethel is not just a place; it's a sacred space where heaven meets earth and hearts are forever changed.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help us return to our spiritual Bethels. Remind us of the moments when You touched our lives. Rekindle our passion, renew our faith, and restore broken relationships. In Jesus' name, amen.

A Quiet Comfort

"Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;"- 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

I was listening to a young mom talk about an exercise where she promised herself she would write one positive thing that happened to her down on a list at the end of each day. she was doing really good until one day in May she miscarried Twins and had to come home and tell her other children who knew she was expecting the devastating news. She told herself she wasn't going to "play this stupid game" of writing the positive thing. She had made a promise to herself so she did it anyway. She wrote down "I liked the way my husband tucked me into bed after I got home from the hospital. It made me feel loved.". She said that list making plan helped her get through that crisis time.

In the quiet moments of despair, when the world seems to crumble and joy feels like a distant memory, it is the tender mercies of our loved ones that can become the balm for our aching hearts. The young mother's story is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, the power of love, and the strength found in the promises we make to ourselves.

As she faced the heart-wrenching loss of her unborn twins, the ritual of finding one positive thing each day became a lifeline—a beacon of hope in the darkest of times. It was not just about finding joy, but about recognizing the presence of love even when it seemed elusive.

Her husband's simple act of tucking her into bed was a whisper of God's comfort, a reminder that she was not alone in her grief. The warmth of that gesture wrapped around her like a blanket, offering solace and a sense of being cherished.

This devotion is an invitation to all who grieve, who suffer, and who struggle to find a glimmer of light in their trials. Let us hold fast to the small acts of kindness, the gentle words, and the quiet support that come our way. For in these, we find the strength to endure, the courage to heal, and the hope to carry on.

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me."- Psalms 23:4

May we all, like the young mother, find our comfort in the love that surrounds us, and may we emerge from our valleys of shadows with a renewed spirit and a heart ready to embrace the joys that await us.

Prelude to Rest #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Prelude Of Rest Gen 1:5 #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Prelude of Rest

Genesis 1:5 (KJV)

"And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day."

As we reflect upon the divine order of creation, we find a profound principle woven into the fabric of time itself: the day begins not with the sunrise, but with the sunset. The sacred rhythm established by our Creator teaches us that preparation for what is to come starts in the quiet moments of the evening.

In the hush of twilight, we are invited to lay down the burdens of the day that has passed and turn our hearts toward the promise of the new day. It is in this sacred space that we can align our attitudes with the peace that surpasses understanding, setting our intentions and plans under the watchful care of the Almighty.

Just as the Lord ordained rest before work in the creation narrative, so too should we embrace rest as the starting point of our endeavors. By resting in God's presence, we recharge our spirits and awaken to a day already blessed by His grace. And as we follow the example of our Creator, who rested on the seventh day, we acknowledge that our strength is renewed not in ceaseless toil, but in restorative rest.

Let us, therefore, begin each day the night before, casting our cares upon Him who cares for us, and rising with the dawn, ready to step into the divine story He has written for us. For in the pattern of creation, we find the blueprint for a life lived in harmony with the Creator's design—a life of purpose, peace, and rest.

Battling Life Dismorphia #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Battling Life Dismorphia 1 Thess 5:18 #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Battling Life Dismorphia

"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." - **1 Thessalonians 5:18** (KJV)

In the hustle and bustle of modern life, it's easy to overlook the simple blessings that each day brings. We live in an era of unprecedented comfort and convenience, a stark contrast to the lives of those who came before us. Yet, despite our wealth and technological advances, contentment often eludes us. This phenomenon, known as "life dysmorphia," stems from the hedonic treadmill – the idea that no matter how much we acquire or achieve, our level of happiness tends to return to a baseline over time.

As we reflect on this, let's turn our hearts to gratitude. A century ago, the luxury of a hot shower was unimaginable to most. Today, it's a daily ritual that we scarcely notice. But imagine for a moment life without it – the warmth, the cleansing, the comfort it provides. It's a small miracle, a gift of modernity that we should cherish.

Let us then approach each day with a renewed sense of appreciation. Let's be mindful of the blessings that we often take for granted and remember that every good gift comes from above. By adopting an attitude of gratitude, we align ourselves with God's will and open our hearts to the true richness of life – a richness that isn't measured in material wealth, but in love, joy, and thankfulness.

May we not only count our blessings but also make our blessings count, by sharing our abundance with others and spreading the warmth of God's love wherever we go. For in giving, we receive, and in being thankful, we find joy.

Joy is counting your blessing and subtracting envy.

Fearless PS. 91:5 #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Fearless in the Face of Night's Terrors

"Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night;" (Psalm 91:5, KJV)

In our modern world, the "terror by night" may manifest in various forms – the blaring of a fire alarm, the sound of a break-in, the sudden onset of illness, or the devastating news of a loved one's passing. We live in a world filled with sorrow and the ever-present specter of death. It's natural to anticipate facing hardships and difficulties, whether in the dark of night or the brightness of day. However, as believers, we are promised that we need not be afraid, no matter what terror we may encounter.

But why should we, as children of God, be fearless in the face of these terrors? The answer lies in the comforting truth that our Heavenly Father is always with us, throughout even the loneliest and darkest of hours. He is our omnipotent Watchman, our tireless Guardian, and our faithful Friend. Nothing can happen without His sovereign permission, and even the depths of hell are subject to His authority. The darkness is as clear as day to Him, and He has promised to be a wall of fire around His people – an impenetrable barrier against all harm.

While those who do not believe in Christ may have reason to fear, with a Holy God above, a guilty conscience within, and a real Hell below, we who find our rest in Jesus are saved from these terrors by His abundant mercy. If we give in to baseless fears, we risk dishonoring our testimony and causing others to question the authenticity of our faith. Instead, we must stand firm, resisting the temptation to be afraid, lest we grieve the Holy Spirit through our lack of trust.

So, let us cast aside all gloomy thoughts and unfounded fears. God has not forgotten to be gracious, nor has He withheld His mercy. Even if our souls are shrouded in darkness, we need not be terrified, for the God of love remains unchanging.

Though the night may be dark and dreary, the darkness cannot hide us from our loving Father. He is the One who, tirelessly, watches over His children with a protective gaze. Take heart, for in Him, we can find peace and security, even in the midst of life's most terrifying moments.

A Faith that can't be tested can't be trusted!

Standing In Grace #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Standing In Grace #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Standing In Grace #RTTBROS #Nightlight

“Let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall.” - 1 Corinthians 10:12 (KJV)

Consider 6 Thoughts toward standing strong in God's grace.

1. The Transparency of Scripture Unlike biographies that may overlook flaws, Scripture candidly reveals the faults of its heroes, teaching us that even in the wake of spiritual victories, we must be vigilant against potential defeats.

2. The Heroes’ Downfall Noah, despite his faithfulness in building the ark, fell into drunkenness post-flood. Abram, on his journey of faith, lied in Egypt, and David, after defeating Goliath, committed grave sins. Their stories serve as cautionary tales, reminding us of the dangers of complacency and self-reliance.

3. A.W. Pink’s Insight Theologian A.W. Pink noted .“God suffers it to appear that the best of men are but men at the best. No matter how richly gifted they may be, how eminent in God’s service, how greatly honoured and used of Him, let His sustaining power be withdrawn from them for a moment and it will quickly be seen that they are ‘earthen vessels.’ No man stands any longer than he is supported by Divine grace. The most experienced saint, if left to himself, is immediately seen to be as weak as water and as timid as a mouse.” This humbling truth emphasizes our need for divine support to stand firm.

4. God’s Sustaining Grace God graciously provides us with righteousness, salvation, truth, and His word, enabling us to withstand trials and temptations, not by our strength but through His enduring support.

5. The True Way of Escape Acknowledging our frailties, we find our way of escape through Jesus Christ, relying on God’s grace to sustain our faith and growth, just as Noah, Abraham, and David did.

6. Reflection and Action Reflect on how God is shaping your thoughts and actions today. Let the biblical examples of reliance on God’s grace inspire your daily walk of faith.

For further contemplation, read 1 Corinthians 10:1–13, which reinforces the message of God’s provision and the importance of depending on His grace.

A Faith that can't be tested can't be trusted!

GOD IF ALL COMFORT #RTTBROS #NIGHTLIGHT

GOD IF ALL COMFORT #RTTBROS #NIGHTLIGHT

God Of All Comfort #nightlight #RTTBROS
Verse:
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (KJV) - "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."

Devotion:
In this fallen world, we all face trials, tribulations, and suffering. As Christians, we are not exempt from these challenges. Even the Apostle Paul, a chosen vessel of God, endured immense hardships, including beatings, shipwrecks, and persecution. However, Paul understood that his suffering had a purpose – to bring comfort to others who were going through similar trials.

Just as Paul received comfort from God during his afflictions, we too can find solace in the Lord. God is the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. He is with us in our darkest moments, providing strength, peace, and hope. When we turn to Him in prayer and trust in His unfailing love, He will guide us through the valleys and lead us to green pastures (Psalm 23:2-4).

Moreover, our suffering is not in vain. God uses our experiences to mold us into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ. As we navigate through the fires of adversity, the impurities in our lives rise to the surface, allowing us to repent and grow in faith. Just as a silversmith refines silver until he can see his reflection in it, God refines us until we reflect His character.

Furthermore, our trials equip us to minister to others who are hurting. By sharing the comfort we have received from God, we become a living testimony of His grace and mercy. Our stories of overcoming become a handbook of deliverance for those who are struggling. As we come alongside them with empathy and understanding, we point them to the ultimate source of comfort – our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

So, let us not lose heart when faced with tribulations. Instead, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). May we allow God to use our suffering for His glory and the edification of His people. And may we always be ready to extend the same comfort we have received to those in need, knowing that our God is the God of all comfort.

The New Tool #RTTBROS #NIGHTLIGHT

The New Tool #RTTBROS #NIGHTLIGHT

Scripture: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30, KJV)

Devotion: In this passage, Jesus extends a loving invitation to all who are weary and burdened. Life in this fallen world is full of trials, hardships, and heavy loads that can exhaust us physically, mentally, and spiritually. But Jesus tells us to come to Him to find rest.

When we come to Jesus in faith, He doesn't remove all our burdens, but He gives us a new "yoke" - His yoke. In ancient times, a yoke was a wooden crosspiece fastened over the necks of two animals to help them work together in pulling a load. Jesus says His yoke is easy and His burden is light. When we are yoked together with Him, He carries the weight and guides us.

What makes Jesus' yoke easy is that He is "meek and lowly in heart." He is gentle, humble, and understanding. He knows our weaknesses and limitations. When we walk closely with Him and learn from Him, we find rest for our souls even in the midst of life's burdens.

Being yoked with Jesus doesn't mean a trouble-free life, but it means facing troubles with His strength, guidance and companionship. It's a shared burden and a shared journey. May we accept Jesus' invitation daily to cast our cares on Him and find rest in relationship with Him.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for Your incredible invitation to find rest for my soul. Forgive me for trying to carry my burdens in my own strength. I come to You now, weary and heavy-laden, and ask You to yoke me together with Yourself. Teach me Your ways and help me to walk in step with You. Thank You for Your gentleness, Your understanding, and Your sustaining presence. In Your name I pray, Amen.

The Silversmiths Reflection #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.” - James 1:12 (KJV)

The Silversmith’s Reflection

In the heat of the fire, a silversmith works diligently, refining silver until it’s pure. He explains that the silver must be kept in the hottest part of the flame to burn away all impurities. His constant attention ensures it doesn’t burn; he knows it’s ready when he sees his own image reflected in the gleaming metal.

just as the silversmith sees his image in the refined silver, God watches over us through our trials until He sees His reflection in us.

In the midst of trials, it may seem easier to falter and lose hope. But remember, it is the testing of our faith that produces perseverance. Let us embrace these challenges, not as burdens, but as opportunities to grow closer to God, to lean on His strength, and to renew our faith.

As we continue to endure, let us do so with joy, knowing that the trials we face are not in vain. They are shaping us, molding us into the image of Christ, preparing us for the eternal glory that awaits.

So let us stand firm, with our eyes fixed on the Lord, for He is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. And in His perfect time, He will stablish, strengthen, and settle us, making us perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

If today you are feeling the heat of the fire, remember that God has His eye on you and will keep watching you until He sees His image reflected in you.

Constant Prayer #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Constant Prayer #RTTBROS #Nightlight

The Power of Constant Prayer #RTTBROS #Nightlight

"Pray without ceasing." - 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV)

Our lives are filled with ups and downs, joys and sorrows, triumphs and challenges. In the midst of life's ever-changing landscape, there is one constant that can keep us grounded, encouraged, and filled with hope: prayer. As the unknown author wisely stated, "For a better morning talk with God First. For a Better night talk with God last. For a better life talk with God all day."

Just as wings enable a bird to soar high above the earth, and sails harness the wind to propel a ship across the sea, so too does prayer uplift and carry our souls through life's journey. Corrie Ten Boom, a woman of great faith who endured the horrors of a concentration camp, knew the sustaining power of prayer. She likened it to the very wings and sails that keep one aloft and moving forward.

The Bible urges us to "pray without ceasing" (1 Thess. 5:17). This doesn't mean we spend every waking moment on our knees, but rather that we cultivate an attitude of constant communion with God. Whether we're rejoicing on the mountaintops or trudging through the valleys, God is always ready and eager to hear from us.

As we begin and end each day talking with our Heavenly Father, and continually turn our thoughts to Him throughout the day, we experience the peace, strength, wisdom and joy that only He can provide. Let us commit to a life of constant prayer, trusting that God will guide, provide and sustain us every step of the way.

Unveiling the Unseen: Extending Grace in Life's Hidden Struggles

Bible Verse: "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." - Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)

Devotion:

In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it's easy to get caught up in our own struggles and forget that everyone around us is fighting battles we know nothing about. The car with the "Learning stick sorry for any delay" sign serves as a poignant reminder of this truth.

Just as we extend patience and understanding to the driver learning to shift gears, we should offer the same grace to everyone we encounter. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:32 to "be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."

We may not see the signs of personal struggles, but they are there. Hidden beneath the surface, people are going through divorces, losing loved ones, battling depression, and facing life-altering diagnoses. As Adrian Rogers once said, "You never know what someone is going through. Be kind always."

Kindness and patience should not be contingent on what we see or what we think someone deserves. Instead, we should extend love and grace freely, just as Christ has done for us. We are called to be a light in this world, offering hope and compassion to those who are hurting.

Today, let us challenge ourselves to look beyond the surface and treat everyone with an extra measure of patience, kindness, and love. We may never know the impact of our actions, but we can trust that God will use our obedience to touch lives and heal hearts.

Remember, "Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy" (Matthew 5:7, KJV). As we extend grace to others, we open ourselves up to receive God's grace in our own lives.

The Debt #RTTBROS #Nightlight

The Debt #RTTBROS #Nightlight

The Debt Rom 6:23 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

The Debt We Cannot Pay

Verse: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." - Romans 6:23 (KJV)

In this story, a British pastor and his young son entered an expensive store with a strict policy: "Do not touch any breakages, much must be purchased." Despite the clear warning, the pastor found himself gently touching the items around him. However, his 4-year-old son, Michael, was not as gentle and accidentally knocked over a large, expensive item.

The store manager appeared, simply pointing to the sign. The pastor knew he couldn't leave the store and expect his young son to pay for the damage he had caused. Michael was unable to pay the debt he owed.

This story serves as a powerful reminder of our own spiritual condition. We all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory (Romans 3:23). Just like Michael, we have created a debt that we cannot pay on our own. The wages of our sin is death, and we are unable to redeem ourselves.

But God, in His infinite love and mercy, provided a way for our debt to be paid. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus paid the price that we could never afford. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).

Just as the pastor had to pay for his son's damages, our Heavenly Father has paid our sin debt through Jesus Christ. When we accept this precious gift by faith, our debt is canceled, and we receive the promise of eternal life.

Let us give thanks for the incredible love and sacrifice of our Savior, who paid a debt He did not owe because we owed a debt we could not pay. May we live our lives in gratitude and devotion to Him.

The Goodness Of God #RTTBROS #Nightlight

The Goodness Of God Ps. 27;13 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Psalm 27:13, "I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living."

In the midst of life's storms and challenges, it is easy to become fixated on the problems that surround us, causing our minds to be held captive by negativity and fear. But the Lord desires to set us free from this bondage, as stated in John 8:36, "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

As you go forth from this place, may you choose to focus your eyes on the goodness of God, trusting that He is at work even when circumstances seem dire. May you find freedom in His presence, knowing that He is able to turn your mourning into dancing and your sorrow into joy, as written in Psalm 30:11, "Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness."

And may you always remember that the Lord is faithful and that His mercies are new every morning. As you seek His face and look for His goodness, may you find it in abundance, even in the land of the living. May you be filled with hope and peace, knowing that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it until the day of Jesus Christ, as promised in Philippians 1:6.

As you go through your day receive this blessing may you… see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living."

Real Love #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Real Love

Verse: "Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;" - 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (KJV)

In my recent sermon on 1 Corinthians 13, I explored the true meaning of love as described in this powerful passage. I emphasized that love, or charity as it is called in the King James Version, is more than just a feeling - it is a way of life that reflects the very nature of God.

I noted how we often use the word "love" carelessly in our daily lives, applying it to everything from our favorite possessions to the people closest to us. However, the Bible presents a much deeper understanding of love. The Greek word used in this passage is "agape" - a selfless, sacrificial love that comes from God Himself.

True love, as I explained, is patient and kind. It does not envy others or boast about itself. Love honors others and seeks their good above its own. It is slow to anger and quick to forgive. These characteristics may seem impossible to live out in our own strength, but they are the fruit of a life transformed by God's love.

Through this message, I challenged my listeners to examine their own hearts and actions. Are we loving others with the same sacrificial, unconditional love that God has shown us? Or are we more concerned with our own comfort and desires?

As we meditate on this timeless passage, my prayer is that we would be inspired to love others as Christ has loved us. In a world filled with division and strife, may our lives be marked by the radical, transformative power of God's agape love.

The Invitation #RTTBROS #Nightlight

The Invitation Matt. 7:7 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" (Matthew 7:7, KJV)

In our daily lives, we often find ourselves facing challenges, struggles, and moments of uncertainty. During these times, it is crucial to remember that our Heavenly Father is always present and aware of our circumstances. He is not a distant, uninformed God; rather, He is intimately acquainted with every detail of our lives.

However, God desires for us to actively seek His presence and involvement in our situations. As the verse from Matthew reminds us, we are encouraged to ask, seek, and knock. These actions demonstrate our faith, dependence, and trust in God's ability to intervene and provide for our needs.

When we pray, we are not merely informing God of our problems, for He already knows them. Instead, we are inviting Him to be involved in our lives, to guide us, and to work in and through us. Prayer is an act of humility, acknowledging that we cannot face life's challenges alone and that we need God's wisdom, strength, and provision.

God is waiting for us to take that step of faith, to seek His face, and to knock on the door of His grace. He promises that when we do so, He will respond. "For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened" (Luke 11:10, KJV).

Let us approach God with confidence, knowing that He is ready and willing to be involved in every aspect of our lives. As we seek Him through prayer, studying His Word, and walking in obedience, we will experience the joy of His presence and the assurance of His love and care for us.

The Paradox Eph 4:32 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

The Paradox of Christian Kindness

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” - Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)

Inscribed on the wall of a ministry to the broken, rejected untouchables in Calcutta India is this poem:

Anyway Poem

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;

Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;

Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;

Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;

Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;

Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;

Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;

Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;

Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;

It was never between you and them anyway.

In a world where kindness is often met with skepticism, and sincerity with cynicism, it can be challenging to live out the Christian call to love and forgiveness. Yet, the poem by Kent M. Keith, though not scriptural, resonates with the teachings of Christ in its encouragement to persevere in goodness, regardless of the world’s response.

As believers, we are called to a higher standard – one that mirrors the character of Christ. The poem echoes the Sermon on the Mount, where Jesus taught us to love our enemies and do good without seeking reward (Matthew 5:44-46). This devotion is not about the immediate gratification of earthly approval but about the eternal perspective of pleasing God.

The acts of kindness, honesty, and generosity mentioned in the poem are not means to an end but are ends in themselves. They are expressions of a heart transformed by God’s love, a testament to the work of the Holy Spirit within us. When we forgive, show kindness, and continue to build despite opposition, we are not just acting in defiance of human nature; we are living out the divine nature bestowed upon us through Christ.

In the end, our journey is not about the accolades or the acknowledgments from those around us. It is about our relationship with God. As the poem concludes, it’s between you and God – it was never between you and them anyway. This profound truth should liberate us to live boldly, love radically, and give generously, knowing that our reward is not in man’s recognition but in God’s affirmation.

So let us take heart and be encouraged to “give the world the best we’ve got anyway,” for in doing so, we reflect the best of our Creator, who gave us His very best in Jesus Christ.

Help For The Hurt Heart #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Help For The Hurt Heart #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Help For The Hurting Heart John 14:18 #Nightlight #RTTBROS

"John 14:18 KJV - 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you

." - John 14:18

No one can bring true comfort to a grieving heart like Jesus can. Even the most supportive friend or relative can only do so much. The sympathy and kindness of others, while helpful, often fall short of what we truly need. Only Christ can understand the depths of our sorrow and offer the perfect words of comfort.

God knows exactly when we need His comfort the most. Sometimes, it may feel like He's waiting until the very last moment, when we're at our lowest point and ready to give up. But He always comes through with His love and support when we need it most.

God also knows exactly where we need comfort. Whether we're in a dark dungeon, a lonely wilderness, a fiery furnace, or a den of lions, He is always there to provide His mercies and bring us peace.

We can then share that peace and comfort with others who are struggling.

"Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God." - 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (KJV)

God's comfort is a gift that is meant to be shared. When we receive comfort from God in our times of trial, we are then equipped to pass that comfort on to others who are struggling. This creates a beautiful cycle of comfort that can help us all weather the storms of life.

As we experience God's comfort, let us remember to extend that same comfort to others who are in need. In doing so, we become vessels of God's mercy and compassion, and help to spread His love and light to those around us.

Hearing God's Voice #RTTBROS #Nightlight

Hearing God's Voice in the Last Days. #Nightlight #NormanKissinger #NK #RTTBROS

Verse: "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:" - Acts 2:17 (KJV)

Devotion:

In the last days, God has promised to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, enabling believers to hear His voice and know His will for their lives. As the passage in Acts 2:17-18 states, this outpouring is not limited by age, gender, or social status. God desires to speak to each one of us more than we desire to hear from Him.

While the Bible provides principles for making decisions, it does not always give specific answers to questions like which college to attend, which car to buy, or whom to marry. In these situations, we must learn to discern God's voice and follow His leading.

Two fundamental principles for hearing God's voice are:

1. Follow the written rules - God's Word should always be our primary guide.

2. Follow our last order first - Obey what we already know God has spoken to us about doing.

God may speak to us through various means, such as dreams, visions, or thoughts impressed upon our minds. However, it is essential to test these experiences against Scripture and ensure they align with what we already know to be God's will.

Hearing God's voice is vital for the times we live in. As we seek His guidance and obey His leading, we can be effective in the ministries and tasks He has called us to do. Let us commit to spending time in prayer and in His Word, cultivating a listening heart that is attentive to His voice.
