Lesson #50 - Your Support Network
In this episode, you will get a chance to review your current support network and any new people you would like to add to it.
At times it may not feel like this; however, support is all around you. I know when I was experiencing depression, I had challenges finding it. Support can be a book, a video, a friend, a loved one, a doctor, a teacher, a therapist, a coach, a support group, and more.
There are resources in your own community to help you with whatever struggle you are facing, no matter how scary it is. If that resource isn’t in your community, there are people who can help you find the help you need. Be open to support when you are struggling. Be open to support when you are feeling amazing. Support is all about staying connected to another person. Connection with ourselves is foundational; connection with others takes us to new heights and allows us to grow.

I always thought the goal was to be constantly happy. Here is a journal entry of mine about this when I was still in school. I was struggling with focusing on being happy when at the time I really wasn’t. This was at a time when I was questioning a lot about myself and my future.

Lesson #48 - Your Eating Habits
In this episode, you will have an opportunity to start to review the types of foods your are currently consuming and any changes you can make.
I am no expert at this. I am not going to tell you that I am eating only organic foods. What I have done is started to gradually make smarter food choices. For me, I used to eat a lot of pasta and carbs. It was my go-to meal choice. I found myself always tired with no energy to do very much. I made a choice to increase my water consumption every day.
I have stomach issues with IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and a potential gluten issue, so I reduced the amount of milk and gluten I consume. The one thing I have noticed is my mind is a lot clearer and if I have a low period, it doesn’t last as long. I am able to come out of it faster.

Lesson #45 - Your Physical Activity
Over the years, walking, running, biking, hiking, basketball, and volleyball have worked well for me. When I was feeling really low, it would take all my energy to just go for a short walk. I would start small and work up from there. I seem to have gotten into the habit of tracking the times I exercise.
Today, there are some great app’s that can help with this versus the good old excel spreadsheet I used to use. The key thing for me when it comes to exercising is it helps clear my head of all the negative self-talk. Also, I find I can end up receiving a variety of new creative ideas I had never thought of before.
