Texas High School Football Fans in the Rio Grande Valley finally have a weekly podcast with a host that knows his RGV football and is a hometown product.

Mission native and former WWE announcer Alex Del Barrio gets you ready for each week of the RGV High School Football with his personal takes and picks on the upcoming games, a re-cap of the previous week with local media personalities and a long form interview with one of the Rio Grande Valley's coaches.

This podcast will drop every Wednesday with a new guest every single week, with additional guests and surprises along the way.

Week Seven - Mark Guess - Brownsville Hanna Golden Eagles
We have hit Week 7 of #RGVFootball and the playoff races are shaking out in some districts and for 32-6A it's the opening week of conference play. They kick it off with a bang with the annual Battle of the Arroyo at Boggus Stadium.  Jake Berry of 956Preps and ADB discuss a week that saw several teams lose key players to injury, they look at how good the La Feria Lions actually are regardless of classification and look ahead to an important week of games in several key districts.  In the Coach's Corner segment this week's guest is Mark Guess of Brownsville Hanna. ADB and Coach Guess chat about his early career in West Oso. Week Six - Tom Lee - Sharyland Pioneer Diamondbacks
Most of #RGVFootball has started district play and the excitement has kicked up a notch. That excitement extends to this week's episode of Spiked! with ADB Jake Berry of 956 Preps and Alex Del Barrio discuss what we know now after five weeks and breakdown the impressive win by Mission over McAllen Memorial, a re-shuffling of the potential playoff teams in 16-5A Division I and ask the question just how good is La Feria compared to the RGV regardless of the classification.  In the coach's corner segment we chat with Pioneer head coach Tom Lee. We discuss his perseverance throughout his life and career. Week Five - David Cantu - Brownsville Veterans Memorial Chargers
We are at the virtual halfway point of the #RGVFootball regular season and with 30-6A, 31-6A, and 16-5A I all starting district play, ADB and Jake have a ton to discuss with some crucial match-ups taking place this week. Jake Berry of 956 Preps and ADB discuss what we know now after four weeks, which teams can contend for a playoff spot, and what teams will be left in the cold as the season moves forward. The duo will also chat about the big match-up in the 30-6A opener between Mission High and McAllen Memorial.  This week's 1-on-1 guest is Brownsville Veterans Memorial Head Coach David Cantu. A Valley native with Los Fresnos ties, Cantu shares some personal stories including his time as a science teacher, his battle with cancer at a young age, coaching under Scott Ford and his unique coaching style. We also discuss his thoughts on the progression of RGV football, Landry Gilpin winning Mr. Texas Football in 2018, and his extensive ballcap collection. Week Three - Mike Evans- PSJA Southwest Javelinas
We hit the make-shift quarter pole of the Texas High School Football Season with Week Three. District 16-5A Division 1 has had its first week of district play and there are some surprises in the standings after Week Two.
