104. Times and Seasons part 2
What is your reflection for the year 2024?
101. The Spiritual and the Physical
When I experience human beings I am in awe of Jehovah’s creation. When I hear myself speak, or listen to others I wonder where that voice is coming from. When you open up a person, the inside is all mushy, blood and bones. And yet…Today on #practicalchristianity, I shall be discussing the spiritual and the physical.
100. I have good news
Its the 100th episode of #practicalchristianity and I have a good news.
99. Am I wise or foolish?
What is wisdom? Am I a wise or foolish person? Cambridge dictionary defines it as ‘the ability to make good judgments based on what you have learned from your experience, or the knowledge and understanding that gives you this ability.’ The world dictionary indicates that the opposite of wise is foolish or stupid. It’s good to use one’s experience, knowledge and understanding to make good judgement. However, is this all that wisdom is? If this is only what we need, why do we still make so many bad judgements? Why do we still have the 'if I had known’ moments? Today we explore the foundation of wisdom on #practicalchristianity.

95. The pain of loss
How do I cope with the pain of losing of a loved one to death?
96. What is Jehovah doing?
When we see the world around us - the brokenness, man-initiated wars, the earthquakes, the famines, the evils perpetrated, the poverty etc. We are tempted to ask, 'what is Jehovah God, the Creator of this world doing?' Join me for another episode on #practicalchristianity to reflect on this question.
94. Do you have spiritual pride?
As a Christian, do you have spiritual pride? A question worth thinking carefully about as the response could...well be spiritual pride.
93. Still in the flesh.
Today on #practicalchristianity. I shared how I have to be intentional in saying no to sin. Despite the fact that Jesus has broken the power of my sinful nature, I depend on the power of the Holy Spirit to do those things that are holy day by day. Because the result I desire is eternity with my Creator -Jehovah.
How about you? Are you still in the flesh?
92. What do you do when you are tired of religion?
Adeola shares her thoughts on why our relationship with Jesus Christ is not religion. And why religion is not the basis our our salvation
91. One Body. Many parts.
There is only one body of Christ. Many denominations have arisen since the early Church. Nevertheless it is still one body, with many part. 82. Spiritual Maturity: An attitude of Thanksgiving and Praise.
One of the first lessons I learnt from my parent as a child was to say thank you whenever someone gives me something. As a parent one of the first lessons for my daughters was for them to show appreciation for gifts or anything good they are given.
Our relationship with Jehovah God is more than praying for our needs to be met but first being thankful for all He has done for us.
In this episode I share why having a posture of thanksgiving and praise is one evidence of spiritual maturity.
81. Spiritual Maturity:Thoughts and Actions
If you were to be able to hear what thoughts goes on in a persona’s heart, what would you hear?

A person's character reflects their level of maturity.
79. Spiritual Maturity - Experiences
Experience, someone said is the best teacher. I will share two experiences that is helping me in my spiritual journey as I live out faith.
78. Spiritual Maturity - Physical Expression
Spiritual Maturity is not about how long one has been a Christian. Neither is it about how long one can pray or how many bible passages one has memorised.
Spiritual maturity is about growth - in wisdom, knowledge and understanding of the Lord. As a baby goes through different stages of growth to adulthood, I have realised as a Christian, that one goes through stages of growth. Each stage is manifested through some
Awareness of growth can be manifested in many ways including:
- Taking responsibility for own action; not blaming others
- Desiring and acquiring new wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
- Learning from mistakes.
- Self awareness of own strengths and weaknesses, and impact on others
In this series, I will explore different aspects of spiritual maturity, practically.
75. Leadership - the leader Parts 8 and 9
The final episodes on the leadership series: the Leader case study on some of the kings of the Southern kingdom of Israel. The unique relationship between Israel and Jehovah God provides us with a template for leadership (at any level - family, community, organisation or nation).
74. Leadership - the Leader (part 7)
One of the prayers we, saints love praying is Deuteronomy 28:13, at least the first part of it; And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you [d]heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. 14 So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them. Deuteronomy 28:13-14 NKJV
Any believer who desires the manifestation of that prayer - to be head and not the tail, must learn what it means and what it takes to be head and not the tail. Jesus Christ in Matthew 5:13, 14 said we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world. He has put us as influencers and transformative agents in the world. In other words – leaders heads not tails.
Most times when people talk about leadership, they refer to the person or persons in a position of authority. So, we are going to start there - with the leader. In this series, we have been discussing leaders in position of authority. We are taking lessons from the kings of Judah, the southern kingdom of ancient Israel.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify yourFather Who is in Heaven.
64. Altar (part 2 of 2)
This topic is important because without an altar there is no connection with Jehovah God. Sacfricies (offering etc) are made on an altar.
The Holy Scripture is littered with examples. For us to have a relationship with Jehovah, Jesus had to be give his life in sacrifice. He himself became the Altar and the sacrifice. After the flood when Noah came out of the ark, he built an altar to Jehovah. The Bible said it was a soothing aroma. Then Jehovah made a covenant. Abraham was a man of altars, built about four altars. He was a worshipper of the true Living God.
· Altar provides a connection with Jehovah God. It is also the means through which sacrifices of offering are made
· A place of encounter with Jehovah
· A place of worship after sin and forgiveness
· A place of answer
· A place of sacrifice to Jehovah
· A place of praise and worship

62. Kingdom (part 4 of 4)
The gospel of Christ has the power to transform lives because the Kingdom of God is with power. Jesus sent out his disciples to preach about the Kingdom and give them authority to cast out demons and heal the sick.
Understanding our identity as citizens of the Kingdom is crucial to living in the fullness and power of Christ.
Believers are children of the Kingdom (1Thess 5:5) - children of light. We are to show forth the Kingdom culture in all spheres of life.
Join me for the last in the Kingdom series as we explore this new way of life and living for those who desires it.
Today on Practical Christianity
61. Kingdom (part 3)
Being a Christian is not enough to experience the fullness of the Kingdom of Jehovah God.
What differentiates a Christian believer from anyone else is the fullness of Christ in them evidenced by the power of the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, many of us are powerless Christian
Jesus said, 'He who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do because I go to My Father.' (John 14:12 NKJV). This is for every believer not just those with titles but EVERY BELIEVER.

60. Kingdom (part 2)
I live in a Kingdom – The United Kingdom. There is a geographical realm of this Kingdom, there is a Queen, she even has a sceptre as a symbol of her temporal power. Her subjects are any citizen of the United Kingdom, its colonies and other commonwealth countries. This is a Kingdom that is dependent on its citizens and with ceremonial privileges. This Kingdom is nothing compared to the one I am interested in. Jesus taught about it. He sent his disciples to preach about it. It must be important. Join me to dig deep to understand this Kingdom that we belong to.
59. Kingdom (part 1)

Her subjects are any citizen of the United Kingdom, its colonies and other commonwealth countries. This is a Kingdom that is dependent on its citizens and with ceremonial privileges. 58. Change
In the last two years, we experienced a world-changing event that has transformed how we live, work, and relate. In the beginning, there was a lot of chaos, then we experimented with different things to find a solution. Now we have adapted to the new normal. Life is full of changes. There is a wise word that the only thing constant is change itself. However, there is another constant irrespective of the change. Today, I shall be discussing ‘Change’.
57. Presence
Hello friends.
There are some people when I am in their presence, my spirit is lifted. In their presence, I learn. In their presence I am encouraged. In their presence I feel joy.
Likewise, unfortunately, there are others, that leaves me dispirited. I find opportunities to limit to the barest minimum the time I spend in their presence.
However, there is a PRESENCE that I thrive in.
56. Rest
Rest is something we take for granted. We enjoy it only fleetingly. It is not everyone that has a day off or takes days off work that have rest. You can even sleep and not be rested. Why is rest not a sustained state?
55. Stress
Today on #practicalchristianity, I will be talking about #Stress. Scientists defined stress as the feeling of being overwhelmed or unable to cope with mental or emotional pressure. What do you do when you are under spiritual stress?
54. Decisions
How many times have you looked back in regret (or elation) over decisions you have taken at one time or the other?
I shake my head in wonder over some very poor and great decisions I have taken in my life. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but comes a bit too late. So what do we learn from these decisions? Do we understand why we made them in the first place?
Join me every Sunday for Practical Christianity at 4PM GMT.
53: What do you want Me to do for you?
If you were asked this question. “What do you want Me to do for you?” What would be your answer?
Maybe how you answer might depend on who is asking the question. Or maybe it would depend on what you did to the person before the question was asked of you.
I know who I would want to ask me that question. I also want to learn what to do for that question to be asked of me.
Curious? Join me today for the first episode of Practical Christianity in 2022 on this journey of maturity as a believer in Yeshua Christ Jesus.
52:JESUS
Today on Practical Christianity, I shall be discussing YESHUA JESUS.
Join me for a reflective look at the reason for the season - in a new way.
51. Seasons
Today on Practical Christianity, I will be discussing ‘seasons’. We all go through different seasons in our life. How do we know which season we are in? How do we navigate one season to another? Join me for this reflection, not that I have the answers but we can learn together.
50. Minimalism
The desire to accumulate things is a challenge for many people. As we are in the season of gifting, let us think about the gifts. Is it necessary? is it useful?
And as Christ-follower, does it reflect Yeshua?
Minimalism is an approach to living that is purposeful, focus on need, enables a life of financial freedom (not the bondage of debt, survival mode).
