In this episode of Affiliate Business Conversation, I talked with my Affiliate Manager Mai from Verve/DFO Global. I wanted to ask her what their top offers are going into the holiday season. 

Why it is better for affiliates to start with ecom affiliate offers rather than starting a branded product. In other topics we covered are the types of traffic sources to use and the upcoming social traffic sources for this holiday season. 

An important topic we went into was also keeping up with affiliate managers and how they vet for new affiliates. Not every affiliate network accepts every affiliate. Mai explains the best way to get approval for affiliate offers.

In this episode of Affiliate Business Conversations, we talk about email marketing and why it is important to have it as an affiliate. With the evolution of online marketing, having an asset is super important. I even argue that I was careless as a young affiliate and didn't care so much about building it out because it would be a skill I needed to learn, over time I realized that was a mistake. 

In our second episode of Affiliate Business Conversations, we have a special guest Laurent Malka from AnyTrack to talk about the evolution of tracking.

In today's conversation, we will talk about evolution, privacy, cookieless, and all the things around data absorption.

Affiliates and vendors need to track their conversions and find a way to consolidate it all. Affiliates tend not to focus on the full ecosystem of marketing and have one-dimensional thinking about the conversions and tracking instead of owning the full scope of it.

Long time friend and superb expert in the digital ad buying space, Jim Banks. Addicted to the internet way before I got on, Jim Banks has a great knowledge of how a traffic ecosystem should work. I believe you should try to use al venues of advertising possible as it helps with the conversions and as Jim would say it 'the conversation'. 

This is true, you want to make sure the end-user remembers you in some way. They either watched your video halfway and tried to research you but if you do not show up when they do then it is a potential loss. This podcast turned out great, one of the better conversations and why Jim has the vast expertise he does in online media buying.

Affiliate Virtual Summit just ended and I got a chance to talk it up with my brother Akie who runs the virtual summit. Virtual summits are gaining more popularity these days as more and more people are staying inside.

There is a shift in the industry and Akie took to the internet and made a huge learning session out of it. A lot of people gained a lot of knowledge and it was a solid virtual summit. I felt super busy last week just from the intros I was getting from everyone who attended and wanted to learn more about affiliate marketing.

We discuss about the future of Affiliate Business Club and Virtual Summits, especially in uncertain times.

I got on a call with Jorge from LandingTrack to discuss his all in one platform. A tracker and an automation platform that uses rules with machine learning. We talk about why it is important for beginners to use a click tracking platform. Not only is it important but it is important to understand how your data reacts to the click and ads. Most importantly you want to track your ad spend to revenue.

We then discuss machine learning and AI in tracking and if received data from ad networks is enough for affiliates and media buyers to be successful in affiliate marketing.

I talk with Losid Berberi from theOptimizer to discuss topics such as optimization and how to start optimizing campaigns. In the beginning, it can be hard for newcomers to figure out what to optimize. It is all that the data says and reading data can be confusing. So we get in to the details of what to look for and how to get as much information without spending any ad dollars.

One topic we also touched on was machine learning and artificial intelligence in the online marketing space. Will it replace affiliate marketing or ad buying as a whole?

Anyone can buy traffic but its the landing page and the offer that will generate you the revenue. One big tip here is to listen to the verticals that Oliver Kenyon discusses in this episode, he things these niches will explode during and after the pandemic, we are currently in.

There are basic rules to a landing page and we discuss the top 5 that he thinks are very important and I agree with him on this episode of ADvengers Podcast. I have an Amazon FBA business as well. I went out and reached out to Zack to discuss some new opportunities if there were any with Amazon. I then decided to get this recorded and Zack brought on Howard Thai into the mix. We discuss what is currently happening and what may happen in the future. How is ePackets affected, is Amazon Logisitcs able to handle high stay at home orders, the supply chain, etc.

We had a great conversation on what Amazon is and maybe while during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Still, with the pandemic going on, how does an offline business survive? I spoke with Noelle Stary to discuss her business in the CoWOrking world. How she is evolving her business and trying to adjust to what is currently going on in today's society.

Not only is she evolving and adding other new services, but she is also making sure her community understands the situation while taking care of them. Great conversation on what to do in a business that isn't online.

In today's episode I was chatting with KJ prior to see what offer he was running and he is very open to sharing his thoughts. I then asked if it was ok to discuss this public and agreed. So in this conversation, we talk about what offers to run during these recent events, the "I am Legend" status of the world or pandemic scenes. 

KJ breaks out of the box of the traditional CPA offers and talks about other offers on what the end-user currently needs. You will be surprised to what he says as he also surprised me as you can see in this podcast.

In this episode, we discuss how the CoronaVirus is affecting online businesses and how others are evolving. It was a good conversation as I think we need to hear what is going on and what we can do in today's quarantine situations. There are discussions on my campaigns specifically and we dig deeper into how to try to mitigate online spending to more online conversions where people are more frugal to spend online.

Sat down with Mark Joyner and talked about what Entrepreneurship means, where it came from and why others call themselves entrepreneurs when they really aren't. There are a lot of gurus that are growing as information is now becoming more and more diluted on the internet, so selling information is now a popular thing. 

When I first started online, there was a lack of information so consumers were willing to pay for scarce information. Crazy how the times has changed. In this episode, Mark gives his perspective of what it is to be an entrepreneur and where it comes from.

The godfather of internet marketing himself sat with me to discuss this hot topic in the online space.

In this episode I want to discuss what entrepreneurs are from my perspective. I want to share you my story of how I became an entrepreneur by accident and why I do not even consider my self an entrepreneur. I am an online marketer. This talk sparked because of Paul Jey's post on Facebook on how sad it is that Entrepreneurs are looking down at 9-5 people. 

That should not be the case. I started with 3 jobs and decided to actually try online marketing. I became an online marketer by mistake. I didn't want to be an entrepreneur nor did I think I was going to have a career for over 15 years online! Entrepreneurs should never put anyone down but only encourage and help them on their path.

This is a fairly long ramble about the topic, but let me know what you think. Also I did this on the fly so the audio might be ok.

This is my first rough draft of being a podcaster. I want to take a different direction in where and how podcasting should be done. I want it to be informative but also personal. There is a lot of podcasts out there that you can learn from. Strategies and how to do certain things online but not a lot explain it from a different point of view of actuality. 

I want to try to see if I can be a podcaster and see if this style will be well off for everyone to relate to and understand.
