'Fruits Basket' Season 1 Episodes 25 & 26 I AfterBuzz TV
OMG it’s the end….or is it? Hosts Kari Lane, Veronica Valencia, Jaimi Gray and Ollie Drennan break down the final two episodes of “Fruits Basket” (2001). Tohru does her thing and is able to have empathy for Akito and honestly confesses her fear to Kyo. Kyo almost gets his hug and we get some backstory on his upbringing. Shigure was strangely rather pathetic and not his normal witty/mischievous self. The original show has an ending but it definitely leaves a lot unanswered and feels somewhat lacking. Thank goodness for the reboot!
Also, Veronica and Ollie went to a BTS concert and our hosts discuss the rise of Kpop in American culture. Then Kari gives her thoughts on “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection” (movie) that is now in theaters!

'Fruits Basket' Season 1 Episodes 21 - 24 I AfterBuzz TV
Only two more episodes before the finale! Our hosts Kari Lane, Veronica Valencia, Jaimi Gray, and Ollie Drennan discuss ep 21-24. A couple of the episodes are kind of fillers but there are some nuggets of truth and goodness in them. However, the filler episodes take the viewer out of the story this late in the game. What is this mysterious figure Kyo turns into? Will Tohru ever become more selfish and finally stand up for herself? Which zodiac member will we meet next? Also, host Kari Lane talks about the new anime film, “Okko’s Inn”. Fathom Events had a special event screening of this adorable and heartfelt film! Bring on the cheese and the tissues! Fruits Basket gets even more emotional and deep! Hosts Kari Lane, Jaimie Gray and Ollie Drennan breakdown ep 5-8 of the classic show. We meet two more of the Sohma family and get a heartbreaking flashback of Hatori’s lost love. Will Tohru be the one to break the curse? What do you think of Momoji? He is a bit much! Also, these episodes fondly look at friendship and choosing your own family.

New show and new vibe! Our hosts look back at the classic shoujo anime, Fruits Basket (2001)! Host Kari Lane, Veronica Valencia, and Ollie Drennan break down ep1-4 of this fun slice of life anime with twist. Tohru Honda is down on her luck but the stars align with she moves in with the Sohma household - though things get a little strange when she learns they are all possessed by the spirits of the Chinese zodiac. Will Yuki drop his cool exterior and open up? Will Kyo ever beat Yuki in a fight and calm down? Will Tohru be able to keep the Sohma secret?
