In this final episode Esty is confronted by her past and is ambushed by Yanky's cousin Moshi. Moshi tries to guilt and intimidate Esty by convincing her to go back to the community. Leah Esty's mom finally has the chance to set the record straight and tells Esty the truth about her never really leaving her. Back at home, Esty's grandmother suffers from a heart-attack and the great aunt finally sticks up for Esty against the mother-in-law. Finally, Yanky and Esty have a moment to be with each other without the entire community in their business. Yanky does his best to bring Esty back home but she says its too late.

We finally get more background about what led Esty to flee her once beloved and comfortable community. Yanky and she have been trying to have a baby for a year with no luck and even less enjoyment. She has become a pariah as the community has caught wind of their difficulty which is seen as her sole responsibility.
In Berlin Moses continues his sinful behavior gambling, procuring a prostitute for Yanky (who is rejected), and finally breaking into Leah’s apartment. It is confirmed that Esty is pregnant and she rebuffs the doctor’s recommendation that she has options. Shes going to have the baby, she sees it as a blessing. She later enjoys her first night out to a club and afterwards has consensual sex with her friend Robert.

We get to learn about the wedding rituals that take place in the Hasidic Jewish community. After escaping to Berlin, Esty begins to explore her options for pursing her passion in music. She also immerses with new friends and shares intimate stories about her personal life. Yanky and his cousin are in Berlin on a mission to find Esty and bring her back home to New York. In the episode we learn about the rituals that take place in the orthodox community such as the Mikvah (bathing ritual), shaving of the woman's head, veiling of the bride, and the breaking of the glass. This  episode is packed with learning information and one not to be missed.

Esty’s goal her whole life has been to marry and have children, so her Orthodox Jewish community is shocked when she runs away. Her husband, Yanky is distraught but admits he knew she was unhappy. With the assistance of his somewhat sketchy cousin they discover zesty has gone a world away from their Nee York neighborhood to Berlin and go on a quest to find her.
Meanwhile Esty has escaped with the help of her piano teacher and lands in Germany with one contact, her distant mother. She soon makes friends and sheds her wig and works on embracing modern secular life.
