Ep 20. Becoming Emotionally Stable

Ep 20. Becoming Emotionally Stable

I’ve come to understand that anger is a secondary emotion; you must uncover the primary emotion that gave rise to it, and these primary emotions are often the internal responses you attached to past events.

The next time you find yourself triggered by someone’s comment or attitude, ask yourself these questions:

  • Will this situation produce patience in me if I endure it rather than run away?
  • Why does this person’s action stress me?
  • Is it because they are mirroring my behaviour?
  • Why am I choosing to continue to interact with them?

When you’re emotionally unstable, people can often be judgmental about your behaviour; they keep their distance or avoid you by all means without trying to understand your underlying pain. You’re likely not to be recommended for a promotion at work; if you run your own business, you may find it hard to keep customers.

My friend, what good is there in holding on to bad memories anyway?

In this episode, I share my experience, signs to watch out for if you’re emotionally unstable and my seven tips for becoming emotionally stable.

Ep 19. When “feigned security” restricts spiritual adventure

Ep 19. When “feigned security” restricts spiritual adventure

I am sensing that we’re about to enter a new shift in the spirit, a new season of expansion, growth and leadership but “feigned safety” may restrict this spiritual adventure.

So many of the people I advise and coach and the women in my private group (His Lady) are also sensing and experiencing this shift – in fact, we prayed about it last week. I imagine you might also be sensing this shift too, whether you're conscious of it or not; that’s what I’m going to share with you.

So, when does feigned security restricts spiritual adventure?

I share with you four perspectives/insights.

I hope this podcast gives you some grace and courage to leap into what is calling you.

See you there! Aji

Ep18. A simple practice for a soulful friendship

Ep18. A simple practice for a soulful friendship

I had an amazing birthday tea-partay with seven fabulous ladies. On my way home that evening, I was relieving the experience - I felt truly understood and deeply known.

We were able to bring out our”best selves”

We shared our wittiest jokes and delved into cherished subjects seamlessly. We felt this warm swell of admiration for each other. I felt deep satisfaction listening to how my friends held me in such high regard; I was nourished and energised throughout the event.

I believe that these are the experiences that fill our souls.

So, I reflected on some of my past friendships and wondered why they were laced with tensions and conflicts. I wondered why they failed to regain their magic and fade out for no good reason.

This episode is essentially a reminder of the pleasures and benefits of good friends; I hope these practices will bring your good friendship to a soulful one.

Ep 17: Run, walk or SLAY? There’s a much better way (pt 1)

Ep 17: Run, walk or SLAY? There’s a much better way (pt 1)

When we say, “We're going with the flow,” what we're really saying is that we’re riding with the creative force of life. Just to be clear, Flow isn’t New Age word. The book of Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “[God] has made everything beautiful in its time.”

So, when you’re in the flow, you're constantly responding to the subtle cues that Life is giving you.

In this episode, I’d like to introduce the concept I have been practicing for about 4 years now, it would set you free from the societal drama and help you turn your anxiety into power.

16. Self awareness practices to improve your emotional intelligence

16. Self awareness practices to improve your emotional intelligence

Research suggests that we operate on autopilot around 50% of the time. Our eating, breathing, walking, waking up are all on autopilot. Unfortunately, that means that a large percentage of our lives can be lived in robot mode. Therefore, self-awareness is so difficult because our biological programming makes it hard for us to pause. The beautiful thing is that, the more self-aware we are, the more we can understand, accept, and love ourselves. And the more we love ourselves, the more we can love others.

In this episode, I discuss self-awareness as an essential quality for your spiritual and leadership growth along with three practices to improve your emotional intelligence.

#7 ways your inner pain may be manifesting itself in your life

#7 ways your inner pain may be manifesting itself in your life

It’s not more clothes, not a new job, a new location and not a change to your body shape that holds the key to your joy, inner peace or solution to your problems; it is your inner pain. I have worked with people who’d told me, Aji, I don’t have any inner pain; but along the way, we uncovered some of these pains. And this is what this episode is about, I want to share with you seven most common ways your inner pain may be manifesting itself in your life, preventing you from experiencing brilliance in your every day life.

#2 Guiding Principles for Making Wise Choices

#2 Guiding Principles for Making Wise Choices

Many of us were raised to be logical and practical, but you and I know that decisions about your life made only from the intellect often lead you to creating realities that limit and stress you out.

This podcast episode was inspired by Love Is Blind Stars, Kyle and Shaina - the two got engaged but broke things off after realising they just weren't aligned spiritually. Shaina is a Christian, and Kyle is an atheist.

The questions the ladies in my private group asked were:

  • Why didn’t Shaina say no from the get-go after all Kyle declared that he was an atheist from Day 1?
  • Why did she allow herself to go through all those emotional pain, the anger, stress…... you name it.
  • Do women often compromise their standards not just in relationships but in other areas of their lives?

I’ll attempt to answer these questions in this podcast episode #2 Guiding Principles for Making Wise Choices.

#15 Practical Tips for Living a Favoured Lifestyle

#15 Practical Tips for Living a Favoured Lifestyle

Could you use more favour in 2022??

In case you hesitated when you answered that question, let me assure you: the correct answer is YES.

I don’t think we were born to just work, struggle, pay bills and die. Yet, far too many people go through life, doing the same things day after day and wondering, “Where did my life go?”

You see, favour spares us the ordeals of unnecessary or needless labour and toiling. Favour makes your presence appealing and charming to prospective helpers whether at work, with your partner and amongst friends.

The thing is, you don’t buy favour – that’s not sustainable and you can’t manipulate people to favour you – it’s a job – not sustainable either.

In this podcast I am sharing with you #15 Practical Tips for Living a Favoured Lifestyle.

Redefining Prayer - Part 1

Redefining Prayer - Part 1

What comes to mind when you hear the word “prayer”? A morning ritual or a tool for someone going through a major life shifts?

We want our dreams to become reality overnight. We want our prayers answered immediately. But that isn’t the way it works in the spiritual realm.

My desire is for you to use this tool effectively as we start the New Year, I’ll like to encourage you to unpack your beliefs about prayer, without that, you’ll continue to perceive prayer through the lens of your religious, cultural, or societal conditioning – and you’ll be missing out a great deal.

As we start the New Year, do not be distracted by the pressure of the world or your self-induced pressure and thoughts, instead, use the power of prayer to consider this year before moving into action.

In this episode, I share:

- #5 misconceptions about prayer

- New definitions of prayer, and

- My #1 principle that guarantees answered prayers.

As always, if this podcast blesses you give it a 5 star rating, please leave a comment – I can’t wait to read from you and please share the love.

#5 guiding principles to tap into the newness and activate your prophetic

Like the seasons of nature, there are also Personal Seasons in life: Season of winter, spring, summer and fall. But there’s something about the NEW that makes everything around you come alive. It’s tempting to want to put undue pressure on yourself in the New Year to makeup for the previous year – that’s not a healthy approach. When God gives you a new beginning, take it. The New Year is like a new notebook, new page – you have the opportunity to start all over again, so embrace it. In this podcast my aim is to share my #5 guiding principles that I’ll be practicing to tap into this season. My hope is that they’ll bless you too.

Ep8. Wisdom for Navigating Your Season of Pause (#2 of 3)

Ep8. Wisdom for Navigating Your Season of Pause (#2 of 3)

Now listen, God promised that the current of the Jordan would be blocked but first the people had to step in the water. As the people of Israel marched forward step by step, somewhere along the way, God intervened.

There is always a new revelation that accompanies any new season. If you want to move forward with God into a new season in your life, so that you can walk out His perfect will for you in the new season, you need to ask Him to give you new revelation for pacing.

So my dear friend, to enter this new season, God is asking you to take one step at a time – PACE.

The thing is PACING is not in our culture.

We wonder why our culture is full of women who are uninspired, exhausted, struggling with her body and depressed?

By the end of this episode, wisdom for navigating your season of pause, you should:

  • Understand why you resist pausing or pacing
  • Be able to release the unnecessary pressure you’ve been feeling from others, or putting on yourself.
  • I’ll give you a practice that will help you find the peace of mind and grace to help you pace

With appreciation,

Aji

Ep7. Wisdom for Navigation Your Season of Pause (#1 of 3)

Ep7. Wisdom for Navigation Your Season of Pause (#1 of 3)

We expect that we will get a job at age A, get married at time B, buy our first home at age C, but what happens when God prefers a path a little bit longer? Just like He did with the people of Israel.

So you find yourself at a place where your life is just not working? Everything is stripped away from you. There is no light, no clarity, and no matter how much effort you put in, the tougher it becomes.

If you’re feeling this way, I have some good news: you are not alone, it’s a symptom that something big is about to burst inside you… And this experience is the most inspiring, and unconditionally loving experience you could ever have.

However, while the experience is indescribably beautiful, it can also be indescribably horrific for those who are not aware of the spiritual significance and for those who resist the actual experience. So, you can either find the experience transformational or tormenting.

By the end of this episode: Wisdom for Navigating Your Season of Pause, you should:

  • Be able to understand the difference between Divine Pause and spiritual procrastination
  • Possess a greater clarity on what a divine pause is and why you need to experience it
  • Know what to do to navigate this season successfully

With appreciation,

Aji

#10 Affordable Self Care Practices to Get You Back into Alignment

#10 Affordable Self Care Practices to Get You Back into Alignment

The past months have been super challenging for me. As you already know, Coronavirus has forced millions of people to adjust to an entirely new set of logistics. So my family is no exception.
I faced different challenges every single day. The one thing that kept me nourished despite the challenges and crisis was the ability to hold my deep desires and longings with self-love and care.

Self-care means different things to me, and one of them is becoming the container to experience myself, without the need to succeed or accomplish anything.

Many women have postponed self-care to someday when or someday if because their definition of self-care is something that has to break the bank. That’s why I’ve created this episode.
If your goal is to feel more awake, confident, energized, and uplifted, and ready for the day; here are my #10 affordable Self-care practices to get you into alignment.

Enjoy it and I’d love to read your comment!

#10 Everyday Practices to Experience the Flow of The Holy Spirit

#10 Everyday Practices to Experience the Flow of The Holy Spirit

This episode is inspired by Stella’s question and I title it: 10 Everyday Practices that foster the free flow of the Holy Spirit.

You see for many years I suffered from what I call: Spiritual Procrastination. And if you’re wondering what that is, spiritual procrastination is an excuse for not doing something or taking action towards something because we are waiting on God.
For example: When you ask someone about the business idea they shared with you a few years or months ago, you get a response like: “Am seeking God’s face” I’ve still not heard from God. Seriously? That is spiritual procrastination.

Frank talk now, how many times do you pray before you make a call to your friend, go for lunch, watch a movie or buy a dress? No right?

Don’t get me wrong. It’s awfully difficult to discern the will of God even after prayer and fasting, it usually entails making tough decisions. And I’m certainly not advocating a thoughtless or prayerless approach to decision making.

My question is: What if you’re so afraid of doing the wrong thing that it keeps you from doing the right thing?

In this episode, I provide you with tools that’ll enable you to create an environment for the free flow of the Holy Spirit, such that you can trust your decision at all times. As the scripture puts it: those that are led by the spirit are HIS LADIES.

Enjoy it!
