Hospital Anxiety. Five ways to overcome it so the panic attack never arrives.
This week I am podcasting about my most recent experiences of having to go in for an operation, with a long-standing fear of hospitals and a recent diagnosis of PTSD I was sure it would trigger me. With some solid attempts to reduce my anxiety, I managed to have the operation without a single panic attack. So I thought I would share some of the things that helped me from bolstering my foundations, to focusing on the things I can control, reframing my narrative, and speaking to someone that had been through the same I was grateful to get through it without falling into the depths of anxiety.
Ditching the Diet. Mindful Eating
I have recently realised I am stuck in a cycle of binging and dieting. Having reflected a lot on where I am a continuing to beat myself up and then bully myself into really restricted eating I have decided to break the cycle. We all deserve to feel good about our bodies, free from fears or judgment or illness. Here is why I am ditching the diet and who knows what comes next.
