Super Soldiers and the Best/Worst Parents in Story with Jason Inman - Amateur Dads - Ep. 2
The military has fathered many a superhero and villain in the comic book industry, and this week we discuss its impact with Jason Inman, author of the new book Super Soldiers: A Salute to the Comic Book Heroes and Villains Who Fought for Their Country. The book comes out on June 18th and my brother and I really look forward to getting our hands on a copy. You can pre-order the book on Amazon, Apple Books, Barnes and Noble, IndieBound or your local book store. It’s available on Audible as well (unfortunately, Jason, the owner of sweet, sweet podcast/host voice does not narrate the book). We got into why Jason included villains in his book, the least represented branches of the military, and getting vaccinated to the nines. We believe Jason has a very unique take on the characters in his book, and really look forward to reading Super Soldiers. Jae learns the difference between Captain Atom and THE Atom. Keith’s mind gets blown. And Jason lets us know the worst dad in film. Mentioned in the episode: Operation Gratitude accepts donations throughout the year of various supplies and necessities, but in November (the month of Veteran’s Day) Jason runs the JAWIIN Comic Drive for Service Members. Please visit their site and consider donating to the troops. Jason’s podcast with his wife Ashley Victoria Robinson, Geek History Lesson, can teach you even more about geeky characters and stories. Read comics on Hoopla! It’s part of your local library Follow Jason on Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube at @Jawiin.
