Day 21 Walk and Talk: Constraints
Day 20 Walk And Talk: Friends Make It Easier
Day 19 Walk & Talk: Access Granted
The last couple of days I watched the Queen's Gambit on Netflix, which is partly about chess ♟ and all kinds of craziness.
But the chess piece really intrigued me. And part of me is like, “I don't know why.” But there's another part that says, “you know why man.” That part is because it feels like one of those things I've never really learned.
I know how the pieces moves, but I don't know how to think chess. And not too long ago, something dawned on me, it felt as if it wasn't accessible. But that's not fully true, right? It's not necessarily true.
You have different ways of engaging in chess, and let chess be a metaphor for whatever it is that you're thinking about doing.
But it feels like “Yo, I don't know how to get in man.” At least in when it comes to chess, one of the things is, they have games that you can, that you can replay other people's games, you can watch other people's games.
But there's a piece a small piece, maybe a big piece that might be missing. And if you don't catch it, you can be lost. And that is understanding, I think it's called algebraic notation, I feel like I should say with an accent.
And for those of you who know spreadsheets, it is nothing more than saying a cell name in Excel or Google Sheets, it's like E5. That's an actual position on the board. Because the board, the chess board itself, if you look at the bottom, from the position of the white pieces— that's a whole other episode: Why it feels like so much just focused on the white pieces—it's A through H and then one through eight. So any position, you can get the coordinates. And that's how it tells you, that's the beginning of understanding where the pieces are as you move them.
And a little bit of googling will make you an insider, where you can literally go and watch someone's game, you can replay someone's game just based on the coordinates of the different pieces and the moves that they made. So you can actually see it for yourself and move the pieces and you don’t need nobody to do that.
Whatever you are thinking about jumping in, but maybe not. Spend some time on Google and find the points that will make it easier for you to explore on your own. So that's my message for today, it’s about access, accessibility and understanding that there's these little things, you learn them, little things you learn, changes everything.
Alright, I'm out of time for me to go before my little guy gets ready to hit the road. But this is Mike Ambassador Bruny signing out. Peace.
Day 18 of 30: Tools 🧰
As I headed out for a rainy walk this morning I was able to listen to an audio recording at 1.75 time speed so I was able to get through more content in less time.
Having a tool to help me do so made me think about making my next 30 day series about tools you can use to move things forward (or slow down when you need to). What do you think?
Day 17 of 30 Walk and Talk: Anti-Blackness
It’s day 17 of 30 for my walk and talk.
On my mind today is Anti-Blackness. The thought is sparked by a conversation I was listening to about Clubhouse fatigue. Based on some of the things that was causing the fatigue, my mind went to, "Wait a minute, some of the things they are referring to isn't about Clubhouse, but about Blackness." I've just begun my exploration of Anti-Blackness but thought this was an interesting observation on my part. Listen in, comment, let's discuss.
Day 16/30 - Foggy
Day 15/30 - Walk and Talk: On Being Tired
Day 14/30 Walk And Talk - Meet Umma aka Emerson's Mom
He asks her questions about where she was born, the countries she has visited, food she has tried and the languages she speaks.
enjoy.
Day 13 of 30 Walk and Talk: Change...Happy Spring
Hey Hey Mike Ambassador Bruny here. I'm on day 13 of 30 of my Walk and Talks. I will for sure be walking but I honestly don't always feel like talking; hopefully you won't hold that against me.
On to today's topic...Change. It's the first day of spring and I wanted to swing by and remind you that you ain't got to wait for the season to change for you to change. You can use anything as a catalyst for change. I talk more about that on my short talk...Listen in and do me a favor, share it with at least one person you think would benefit from hearing this message.

Day 12/30 Walking and Talk: Stop Anti-Asian Violence
Day 12 of 30 in my walk and talk. I'm swinging by to share a message of "stop the violence" (I actually have a snippet of the song by Boogie Down Productions in this episode).
On my heart is all the madness going on with the violence against Asians. I share some thoughts about what would happen if the violence flipped and was against White people for the institution of slavery or what if it was violence against your dog...just because they are a dog.
Doesn't feel so good does it. Well let's keep speaking out against the violence.
Day 10/30 Walk and Talk: Habits
I also invite you to share you process 👋🏽.
[WalkAndTalk] Making The Connection (Day 9 of 30)
As I’m working on my interviews on my other podcast, ‘No More Reasonable Doubt,” I’m seeing opportunity to connect different guest to each other and to others in my network.
This has inspired me to ask more people the question, “What are you working on?” and “What are you thinking about working on?”
I invite you to answer those two questions and send it my way. You never know, who I know that can help.
Your Ambassador,
Mike Ambassador Bruny
