Week 6- Like her book All My Friends Have Issues, her speaking message focuses on discovering freedom through authentic relationships with God and others, releasing perfectionism, and seeking spiritual self-awareness. Having overcome a decade-long struggle with anxiety and depression and worked a Twelve Step program for relationships, Amanda blends psychological research, personal experience and Biblical truth to create topics that are challenging, often hilarious and always culturally relevant.
Week 5 - This episode Eric and Lori Johnson give us a great perspective on marriage and how to navigate through the differences in our personalities, explaining how the negative traits our partners carry can actually be positive. Imagine that! :)
Eric and Lori met in high school, started dating two years after graduation, and have been married for 41 years. They have two married daughters, and a granddaughter. They also have a son in heaven. Eric is a retired fire captain. Lori is an ultrasound tech and former MnM's mentor mom :)
7 years ago, they were called to step into marriage ministry. They are certified in Prepare and Enrich, and are finishing certification in SYMBIS and Love and Respect programs. They have also been trained in Church Counseling at Saddleback Church.
Speaker Week 2 - September 25th
Nice to meet you, I’m Jordan Laine Thomson! I’m a mentor, teacher, podcaster, writer at heart, an emotional exhibitionist, a proud mama, semi-cool wife, and world’s worst small-talker. I believe I’ve been put on this earth to share my gifts with others through written & spoken word. I have a knack for people and an insane passion for helping women break out of their shy shells. Having grown up a painfully shy kid, I know what it feels like to miss out on experiences, not feel like you are living your life authentically and how much of a struggle it is to not know how to break free from the chokehold that is your own shyness. It’s my mission to inspire women to take their lives into their own hands, change the identity that is keeping them small, and empower them to step into confidence.
