Formerly a microbiologist in an agritech MNC, she was involved in the treatment of slaughterhouse wastewater as well as the development of field-ready test kits for CoVID-19 and African Swine Fever (ASF). Nicole Ng and Daniel Lee created MARKON, an e-magazine which helps SMU Marketing students navigate the world of marketing. It consists of 19 articles written by marketing students and 1 veteran about the different marketing jobs and careers out there.

Student Writer Speaks about Disruption and FOMO
As disruption rips through the world due to the pandemic, I sought student writer Chia Wee on his latest advice about responding to disruption, combating fears of missing out (FOMO), and his message to millennials. Chia Wee is an undergraduate student and his articles have been published on The Straits Times and CNA.
Chia Wee is a third-year student at the National University of Singapore’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, majoring in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. He has contributed several articles to The Straits Times and CNA on broad social issues such as the fear of missing out, the age of disruption, and politics. He is also Director (Strategy) at Access, a social mobility non-profit organisation which seeks to provide career exposure opportunities to students from less-privileged backgrounds. Chia Wee is interested in a broad range of issues, as reflected in his articles; he is especially interested in how the COVID-19 pandemic affects these issues, as its disruptive effects continue to transform the way we live, work and play.
Aviation Director shares his Best Career Advice in Coronavirus
Amidst this pandemic, I reached out to Paul to share his advice for millennials who have a passion for the aviation industry. I learnt what goes on behind the scenes as airlines navigate through the crisis. Paul also shared a powerful story about his approach to take good care of the company he worked for, and how the company in turn took care of him.
Paul Nef is a regional sales director based in Singapore for a US aerospace company. He has 39 years of experience in the aviation industry. He has held leadership positions in the Asia regional business. He is business fluent in Mandarin Chinese and when he first joined the aerospace industry, he was assigned as the first business representative in the greater China area for his company.

Arts Professor Responds with Career Advice for Artists
Artists are the no.1 most non essential jobs according to a public survey. So, I got Assoc. Professor Greg Petersen to join me in this podcast to share his perspective. Greg is a bassist player and has performed on several records and film scores such as Walt Disney Pictures and Warner Bros. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music where he teaches humanities and critical thinking skills in relation to the arts.
