Fighting Information & Task Overload: ADHD Unconscious Influences
There are scientific reasons why we have difficulties staying focused and getting stuff done. In this episode, I'll be sharing a story of writing birthday cards for my staff and making connections to how many of our kids with ADHD struggle with unconscious influences. Its ok if we struggle. That's part of the journey, but we can get better if we look inwards. Honest reflection is the key to growth. Learning from Real Experiences: Subbing for Concurrent Teaching
This episode is inspired by a recent tweet of mine that went viral showing appreciation for teachers having to do both in person and virtual teaching at the same time. The real, meaningful, and authentic experience of helping to substitute in the class taught me many lessons, but most of all was the reminder that I need to do it more. Join me in a reflection of how leaders should also be hands-on managers so they know exactly what their team is going through. A Detour Doesn't Mean You're Lost
Just because you take a detour doesn’t mean you’re lost. Some journeys take longer and are more challenging. But we can make it. In life and in the classroom, our perception of our ability to affect the journey is what really matters. This episode reflects on time I almost was lost at sea and a discussion of how the perception of control affects our lives.
