Ain't I Good Enuf'

Ain't I Good Enuf'

A poem written by Angela Lei in ther book, "Lights in the Dark"

As the author read the last words from the book, "I know why the caged bird sings" by Maya Angelou,

the entire poem began to unravel as she scrambled to find the nearest thing to write on...

and upon a paper towel, the entire poem came in its entirety..

Ain't I Good Enuf'

 enjoy!

From Angela Lei's poetry book: "Lights in the Dark"Section: Black Chronicles... This is a reminder that we are what we eat. (Naturally ..and intellectually) Guard your mind...and what you feed it..I always say.."garbage in..garbage out"

"A/C in the Cottonfield"

"A/C in the Cottonfield"

From Angela Lei's Poetry book: "Lights in the Dark" Section: Black Chronicles. This poem was written as I drove home from work one HOT Texas evening. The car windows were down as sweat rolled down my face ..hot wind slapping my face. As I pulled to a stop light, I shared an "aha.. yea girl me too" moment with a black lady in the car beside me.. We both understood, "There is A/C in the Cottonfield"
