Season 03 - Ep. 25 - Monday Night Euro Review Show - Red Monday
[This show was recorded live on our YouTube and Twitch stream on 16/01/23]
It was Blue Monday but everything felt red! This week Adam and Ruairi were once again joined by Andy and it was great to have him back, just in time to talk a derby win? Surely just a coincidence.
To start the pod off we talk our footballing weekends before turning our attention to Serie A and we can only start in one place, Napoli, as they dismantle and destroy a Juve team on a streak to cement their place as the best team in Serie A, who were the difference makers? And where was the game won and lost? We then discuss getting a glimpse of the old Atalanta back as they hit a crazy scoreline against an accomodating Salernitana, then to wrap up we talk Roma and Dybala starting to come up when needed, but who do Fiorentina have? And finally Milan swap roles as they come back this time against a stubborn opposition.
Then it's Premier League time, Ruairi and Andy both chomping at the bit to was lyrical about derby wins, but we start up north in Manchester as Rashford continues his incredible form to seal the win, but that first goal, should it have stood? Then we talk Arsenal stepping up another gear to stroll past Spurs who now look a little bit lost, do they need to go back to go forward? Then we wrap up our Premier League review with a look at the Mudryk deal and what it means for football.

Season 03 - Ep. 24 - No one hates Everton more than Everton fans
It's the first Friday show of 2023 and listeners it's a bumper one!
We start off by giving Odegaard his flowers and does he have a shout at POTS? And we discuss players who are doing it for the love of the game in both Italy and Spain.
We then round up ALL of the cup action from both the EFL Cup and the Coppa Italia, with shocks in both has it been a good week for both competitions? How much does it mean to the teams left in it? From ten-man Torino stunning the Rossoneri to the Saints slicing open City there is LOTS to discuss and who do we want to win it?
Then we preview this weekend's action starting in Serie A in Naples for the top of the table clash, is Napoli's record against Juve better than we thought and where will the key battles on the pitch be won and lost? Then we take a look across the rest of the weekend, Ruairi has a bold prediction, will Roma Fiorentina be a banger? Where has the Polish contingency been expanded? Serie A is really hotting up!
Next it's Premier League time with some HUGE games, starting with the Manchester Derby, can Manchester United end their rotten form against the noisy neighbours or will City get back to winning ways? Is it in fact possible for both teams to lose? Elsewhere we have De Zerbi taking on Liverpool again, are Brighton favourites? A basement battle between Everton and Southampton, is Frank Lampard about to do what no man has done before? Then we have to talk North London Derby, Spurs are hitting form at the right time, but have Harry and Antonio made a grubby deal that could upset things? This derby never disappoints.
Finally we have a quick transfer round-up, should Ruairi be the DOF at Barcelona as the rumours start to verge on the ridiculous, have Manchester United made some good business in bringing Wout in and how has Joao Felix started life at The Bridge?

We. Are. Back! After a hectic Christmas period Ruairi and Adam are back to take you through the return of Serie A & the 3rd round of the F.A Cup.

We then turn our attentions to Serie A and it was all about the late drama, 3 2-2s with last minute equalisers! What was the point in Inter beating Napoli now? What did we learn about both Milan and Roma? And was it Karmic justice for Lazio fans after another one of those stories coming out of their fanbase? Then we look towards the scudetto race, with Napoli vs Juve on the horizon what did this weekend tell us about both teams and what can we expect from the game?
Finally we get to talk about our favourite competition, the F.A Cup, it's 3rd round time and there were plenty of shocks, Owls stunning Magpies! Stevenage stunning Emery and Chelsea disgracing themselves (ok maybe that wasn't a surprise) there was plenty of drama for us to pick through.

Next we go back to the Friday matches as Argentina vs Netherlands shows us peak levels of shithousery, can Argentina go the whole way? And we give a sad farewell to Louis van Gaal as he goes out in style.
Finally we discuss Croatia doing what they do best and taking it all the way with Brazil. Is this the most dislikeable Brazil team of all time? Are they just misunderstood? Why wasn't Martinelli brought on? So many questions... But we also give Croatia their credit, is there a feeling of inevitability in this team? And who will win between Livakovic and Martinez?

Ruairi, Adam and Andy kick off by paying tribute to three midfield greats as they hang their boots up in the space of a week, who left the biggest legacy? and what moments stand out the most?
This week most of the football stories have come away from the pitch, we start with the FFF drowning, how do you say scandal in French? Then we talk about the Iranian national team taking a stand, as well as Hummel and the inevitable Qatar 2022 chat, then finally we discuss the story that broke this week of EFL clubs profiting from their fan's losses, it's all a bit grim but important.
Then finally it's time to actually talk about the game we love, in Serie A we have a BIG weekend coming up, Inter take on Roma, will this be last chance saloon for Inzaghi? Meanwhile Serie A will have it's first female referee in Sassuolo vs Salernitana and can Udinese continue their fantastic run?
In the Premier League we have two huge derbies, the NLD kicks us off and how is Ruairi feeling? Then it's the Manchester Derby, sould Andy be more scared than he is? and we finally get to see De Zerbi arrive and an East-Midlands Derby for the ages.

Season 02 - Ep. 62 - "The game is simple, life is complicated" feat. author Stuart Quigley
Back with a brand new Friday episode, Tommi and Ruairi are ready to dive deep in everything Champions League, Premier League and Serie A related.
We start off by covering Salernitana finding themselves out of the drop zone for the first time in over 250 days. Undefeated in their last five league games, can the Seahorses pull off a great escape for the history books?! We think they can, and can't wait to see their manager walk all the way from Salerno to Rome!
Then, of course, it's time to review the Champions League semifinals. Liverpool manage to overcome a Villarreal first-half masterclass with the help of Argentinian keeper Geronimo Rulli and get to celebrate Klopp's third final as a red in only five years. On the other side of the bracket, Real Madrid do what they do best and come back to life just when the Citizens were getting ready to write them off. With no pressure on their shoulder, will Ancelotti manage to lead them all the way to their 14th UCL trophy? We think Liverpool's quest for revenge might just add pressure on Klopp's men...
It's then time for yet another interview, this time around with podcaster, author and overall nice guy Stuart Quigley, whose book "The Cornerstone Collection - Sculpting the Premier League past, present and future" is already available for pre-order and will hit the bookshelves in the month of June. We discuss where the idea came from, some of the stories we can find in the book and why the Premier League and the Championship are the most entertaining football leagues in the world.
At the end, there is just enough time to preview this weekend's clashes across Italy and England. We wonder... will Verona be fatal again in AC Milan's history? At least 1/2 of the pod is currently poking voodoo dolls under the table...
It's another good one, tune in and enjoy!

Tommi and Ruairi are ready to take you on yet another footballing journey! This time around we start from Turf Moore, where Burnley win 3-2 against Everton. Are Lampard's Toffees doomed for relegation? And if they are, what's next for the Merseyside club?
We then move on to Champions League football, where one man and one man only could possibly get the headlines this week: Karim, mate... are you f*cking kidding us? Back-to-back UCL hat-tricks?! What are you doing to us?! But it's not all blancos, as another Spanish team manage to pull off the upset of the week under the leadership of European Cup expert Unai Emery. And Ruairi has got some crazy stats to give the Basque manager the credit he deserves... Finally, we take a look at Liverpool's trip to Lisbon and the controversial Manchester City-Atletico fixture. Spoiler alert: we still love Simeone and we are all about his football.
It's then time for our Weekly Topic, this time around featuring a unique interview with former footballer, world traveller, book author and all around nice guy Seth Burkett. Hold on tight, cause he's going to take us around the globe and you might not believe some of the stories he's ready to share with us. Trust us, this one is one for the books.
