However, I've seen lots of opportunities only for HBCU students. In my opinion, these companies are only doing this to make themselves look better and increase diversity within their organizations. Happy Friday! The NBA season is sadly over but there is one team that is extremely happy currently. The Milwaukee Bucks came out on top and won the 2021 NBA Championship. I don't believe anyone really had the winning but they continued to defy the odds and come out on top every round of the playoffs. As you all know, I was rooting for D Book and CP3 to win their 1st rings and really get to feel what that moment was like. However, the Bucks had other plans lol. Happy Friday! Today's episode is a solo one that's full of my personal opinions about an organization that's shown its true colors continuously with various African American employees. Maria Taylor & Rachel Nichols are both very prominent women within the sports broadcasting world and Rachel wasn't very happy in the Bubble when Maria was granted the opportunity to host the 2020 NBA Finals. Rachel was on a call with Rich Paul & Adam Mendehlson discussing her thoughts that Black people are only being elevated because ESPN struggles with diversity & made many insensitive comments in the process. Yoo! I'm super excited about today's episode because it's been the hot topic ALL WEEK LONG. Sha'Carri Richardson was revoked the opportunity to participate in the 2021 Olympics.  She failed a drug test after her terrific performance at the Olympic Trails. This caused an uproar in the sports community and posed lots of questions. Should they be testing for weed if it's not a drug enhancing substance? Are the Olympics racist & anti black? Should Sha'Carri be able to run?

Happy Friday everyone! 2017 was a rollercoaster year for today's guest when he was involved in one of the biggest college scandals. I'm sure you all remember the headlines of "LiAngelo Ball & UCLA Freshman Shoplifted from China". What you may have not known is the Ball brother wasn't the only person affected by this huge mistake. 

Jalen Hill, UCLA Forward, was 17 years old when he was arrested in another country, mind you, he didn't even make his collegiate debut yet. Imagine if you were in his position?! Life-altering mistake that stripped a season of eligibility away from him & allowed anxiety & depression to creep up. Jalen recently announced his retirement from basketball and came on the podcast to provide guidance for D1 players and those that struggle with mental fitness. This lack of equality for the men's and women's collegiate basketball teams caused an uproar on social media and between both genders. This superstar in the making had a breakout year at the University of Illinois. Although the Illini didn't have the winningest season, Kendrick still found a way to stand out and dominate his opponents every game. Along with those accolades, Kendrick is extremely passionate about the Black Lives Matter movement and is clearly #MoreThanAnAthlete.
