22// Reflect Christ in Your Community: Commission
After 22 episodes, founder and host Anna Claire Noblitt leaves the Dual Citizen community with a charge to reflect Christ right where you are. She reminds listeners that the only world-changing power comes from the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and we have been commissioned to make disciples on a personal level rather than to solve the world’s problems. Galatians 1:3-5 “ Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, 5 to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
21// Understand Civic Responsibility: Prayer w/ Isaac Adams
Before we can love our neighbors and stand up against injustice, we must go to God and allow him to calibrate our hearts. Prayer is oxygen to the Christian, connecting us to our source of life and strength. As dual citizens, we have the opportunity to pray for our leaders, even politicians with whom we disagree. Do you believe in the power of prayer? We talk with Isaac Adams, founder of United We Pray, about the importance of prayer as a starting point for action. Learn more at https://uwepray.com.
20// Understand Civic Responsibility: Awareness w/ Student Panel
As we seek to better understand civic responsibility this summer, awareness of national and global news is a great place to start. The Dual Citizen hosted an Open Table discussion group this summer to learn more about Middle Eastern conflict. A group of seven students gathers to discuss what civic responsibility means to them, and why awareness is a step towards loving and serving our neighbors well.
19// Understand Civic Responsibility: Sacrifice w/ Ben and Melissa Sasse
Sometimes God calls us to make unexpected sacrifices on behalf of His kingdom. The Sasse family serves the state of Nebraska in the United States Senate, and in this episode Melissa and Ben share what civic engagement means to them, how they stick together as a family, and how to redefine politics as simply living life among neighbors.
18// Understand Civic Responsibility: Patriotism w/ Lieutenant Kernel Doug Wilson
Episode 18 kicks off season 4 of The Dual Citizen Podcast, which will unpack what civic responsibility might look like in our Christian lives. Anna Claire talks to retired US Air Force Lieutenant Kernel Doug Wilson, who shares his experience in the military and his take on patriotism and civic engagement. This is the perfect way to add some thought and meaning to your celebration of Memorial Day this year!
17// Realize Your Influence: SOUL
Episode 17 features a conversation between Dual Citizen team member Renee Jones and SOUL founder Christina Britt. They discuss the story of Christina realizing her influence and taking the opportunities at hand to begin a powerful community outreach organization that is spreading across college campuses in Georgia. This episode concludes the “Realize Your Influence” series, so don’t miss it!
16// Q&A: Does individualism threaten Christian life?
Anna Claire Noblitt and Pastor Dustin Ratcliff dive into the principle of individualism, how it has penetrated our society, and how the local church can be a place of true connection and selfless love against a cultural backdrop of self-preservation and independence.
15// Realize Your Influence: All Among Us
Season 3 is all about realizing your influence as a citizen of heaven and earth. In episode 15 we hear the story of another incredible nonprofit leader, Cathryn Shaw, who is the founder and director of All Among Us Incorporated in Ferguson, Missouri. All Among Us is a women’s care center that provides a safe place for transformation and healing, both socioeconomically and spiritually. We discuss common misconceptions about poverty, stories of hope, and Cathryn’s own journey of realizing her influence in the lives of her neighbors.
14// Q&A Why does the Equality Act matter?
The Equality Act is a hot topic as it passes through the chambers of Congress, and in this Q&A conversation we hope to explain a controversial piece of legislation in an approachable and understandable way. Renee and Anna Claire discuss why this Act means so much to the left and the right, and hope that will consider for yourself which pieces of this bill are supportive or against your faith, and how to find a balance between acceptance and freedom to disagree.
13// Realize Your Influence: The WellHouse
Season 3 is all about “Realizing your influence.” In this season, we will hear stories of hope from leaders in the nonprofit sector as a nice change of pace from the turbulent world of politics. Today Anna Claire talks with Debby Haralson, COO of The WellHouse, which “Exists to honor God by rescuing and providing opportunities for restoration to female victims of human trafficking who have been sexually exploited.” Learn more about The WellHouse in Birmingham, Alabama at https://www.the-wellhouse.org.

12// Q&A How do I lead as a woman in the church?
Two letters in the New Testament specifically instruct women to be silent in a church setting. What does this mean for young women hoping to use their voices and gifts for God? This episode encourages young believers to focus more on the joy and freedom of serving in the church rather than be intimidated by these warnings. Anna Claire Noblitt and Renee Jones conclude that we can trust the Holy Spirit to show us opportunities to lead and share that do not contradict God’s design for men and women in the church.
11// How do I respond? Election 2020

Herbie Newell is the Director of Lifeline Children's Services in Birmingham, Alabama and the author of Image Bearers: Shifting from Pro-Birth to Pro-Life.
