By Anna Jee
Hi welcome to Anna jee PhD where your host a totally unqualified 4th year english literature student becomes a temporary PhD holder of a random and niche topic pertinent to students at McGill or Montreal for 10 minutes. This series is essentially my reinterpretation of HONY or humans of New York but for students/alumni at McGill. Stay tuned for laughs, bad puns and hopefully interesting insight that changes the way we approach the student experience.

Internships and renumeration Ft. Kristin and Jolian
According to an article published by the McGill Tribune in 2018, the School of Social Work at McGill does 800 hours of unpaid internships without any remuneration.
Upon some further investigation that I soon found that most female-dominated programs at McGill such as nutrition, education, social work and nursing pay tuition for their internships. This is a stark contrast to male dominated fields such as computer science and engineering, where students get paid for their internships.
In today's podcast, I'll be having a conversation with two fellow McGill students about their experiences interning in the faculty of Nutrition and Education.
