Once again, we revamp this darned podcast to bring you a companion piece for my writings at THE AMUSED LIFE BLOG and detail for you the highlights of one person's little amused life and encourage you to always seek out those pockets of joy, wonder and amusement while dealing with all the shiznit that life throws at us. This week I discuss my salsa problem, the realities of having four dogs, as well as my entertainment viewings and thoughts on Ted Lasso Season 3 and Schmigadoon both on AppleTV+.

Well. You have to start somewhere and as I type this description at 3 am in the morning on the Monday after I was supposed to have this completed (on Sunday); I am putting this podcast up in AS-IS condition. Yikes. Essentially as I get used to this new "companion to my blog" format I have to admit I did not do any of the topic transitions well at all, if at all. So if you're listening, hold on to your lap bar because they drops and curves will come out of nowhere and make you feel like you have no idea what's coming next. But...if you suffer through this, I assure you that you will be able to look forward to a better episode 2 of The Weekly Unpack. I hope.

Another part of THE AMUSED LIFE podcast is my home life...where two fun foodies from different backgrounds, different experiences, different viewpoints find LOVE in the middle ground. We may have a lot of different opinions but we come together on our mutual love of food...Erik was born in NYC and raised in Georgia coming from a Jamaican & Southern Heritage. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania and now live in Tennessee, and I was raised in a German and Slovak household. We are both first generation American's on our father's side and that's where GERMAICAN comes from. Love of food is one of life's greatest passions, however as I've aged, food has definitely become more of an adversary where my body is concerned. So how does a body-positive, health at every size advocate make some life adjustments? She brings along her significant other for a low carb crash course! In this episode, we review a snack, a main meal helper and a sweet that we have found as replacements for our normally carb-filled culinary lives...do they make the cut?

This musing begins the discussion about people who seem to have polarizing personalities. Polarizing people, like polarizing ideas, are those who disrupt the status quo. They're inherently divisive, often loved and hated in equal measure and how being a people pleaser really doesn't work out to well when you seem to have one of these personalities. As I begin to work on some self-care I discuss the possible origins for me on why I may be polarizing or how toxic traits tend to put us in a polarizing position with others.
