This week, Steve continues to share his insight from the book of Titus. This week, Steve thinks about verses 10-16, often overlooked verses about the people bringing false teaching into the church. Steve thinks about the tests we are to apply to all teachers who claim to present the Gospel, focusing particularly on the difference between teaching that is influenced by the word, or the world.

This week, Steve introduces our next series, where we will be thinking about the Paul's pastoral letter to Titus in Crete. Steve gives us some valuable background to the letter, helping us to understand why Paul is writing to his friend Titus, and the situation facing the church in first century Crete, a place where the culture of the world was beginning to infect the church, and the problems this was causing for the fledgling Christian community there.

Mary particularly thinks about the way we can proclaim Christ in secular environments, and living for him in the place where he has set us. Mary thinks of the vital work of organisations like CAP, and how together, we reflect the light of Christ in our world and community.

Steve continues his series on the life and ministry of Jonah thinking about chapter 2, and Jonah’s decent, as he seeks to flee from God’s call on his life, and God's raising and restoration of Jonah, as he cries out to God. Steve challenges us to think about things in our lives which are more important to us than God, and to consider what God has called us to do, and the purpose for which God has saved us. Steve reminds us that, even though Jonah attempted to run from God, God was faithful to Jonah, and restored him when he cried out to God.

Our new rector, Steve Doel, preaches on Philippians 3, thinking about belonging, and what it means to be citizens of heaven, people who are ultimately dislocated from our true home, Steve challenges us to live according to this call, and embrace this reality, even as we live and work here in the community where we now live.
