Fast X -Review - Witness the explosive power of Family, Cars, and Recons
Buckle up because "Fast and Furious 10" takes the pedal-to-the-metal action of the franchise to exhilarating new heights. Directed by Louis Leterrier, this latest installment delivers a turbocharged cinematic experience that is fun. However, this franchise is now going full soap opera, and that makes a lot of the story overstuff and lack peri

Violent Night Review
#davidharbour, #violentnight, #moviereview, #ViolentNightmovie
Starring David Harbour as the real Santa Claus. This movie takes ques from Die Hard. David Harbour sells a down-and-out Santa Claus that has to get dirty. This movie deserves its “R” rating but matches its intensity with equal parts violence and sentimentality. This combination may not be for everyone but in Violent Night it works. David Harbour does much of the heavy lifting with charm that fills the screen. I give Violent Night a solid 8.5 “A fun Ride!! orchestrated by David Harbour”.

Bodies Bodies Bodies - Review
#BodiesBodiesBodies, #A24, #Moive, #MoiveReview
“Bodies Bodies Bodies” is the latest slasher from A24. It delivers on the Thrills and definitely the laughs. With an ensemble cast that really does have some good chemistry. There are moments of real suspense augmented by that chemistry. This is something I haven't seen in a lot of movies and was really happy to see it here. The performances here are what really make the suspense in this movie work.
The cinematography is done quite well with subtle lighting that contributes to the ambiance. And the sound design also really helped this lower budget Horror comedy look like something you need. There are some really good intense sequences in this film that are done very subtly and shine with great performances. My only criticism of the movie is that in the end it doesn't all come together for me. It floats between real slasher and flat-out comedy. I think that blend really works for a lot of the movie. But not for all of it especially the ending. I give bodies bodies bodies a 7.5 out of 10
Prey - Hulu Review
#PreyMovie, #Predatormovie, #moviereview, #Hulu
Prey - Hulu Review Prey the newest installment in the Predator franchise is a step back in time. And also a return to form for the Predator franchise. This is a far more scaled-down movie that takes place 300 years before the original. It still delivers the Predator Thrills with some new elements thanks to the direction of Dan Trachtenberg and the performance of Amber Midthunder. this movie takes place in the Comanche Nation where a young woman is trying to prove herself as a hunter to her tribe. The Predator enters the selection vibrant and gives Amber midthunder a true foe to prove herself. Dan Trachtenberg direction is incredible from both a performance standpoint and a visual standpoint. The Lush Forest environments quickly become a character Of themselves. The Peril of the characters is augmented by Trachtenbergs brutal predator. There is a lot of horror here a lot more than I expected but it's done Tastefully and executed well. This really is a very fresh take on an old formula that really works. I give pray a 9.5 out of 10 a fun ride that really is terrifying with incredible performance from midthunder this comes together and really pays respect to the Predator franchise
Dragon Ball Super / Super Hero - Review
Dragon Balls' latest film to hit theaters Is a send-off to Dragon Ball Z fans. It should be noted that this is mostly a piccolo and Gohan story. The animation is also in a hybrid of 3D and 2D animation. This was done as a cost-saving measure and an experiment. The animation is on par with what you would expect from a movie from the Dragon Ball franchise. There are moments the animation feels a little like pre-rendered 3D animation. But when the set pieces happen the blending of 2D and 3D animation is very well done.
It is also important to note that this movie is fully written by Akira Toriyama. Notably, he was only written four of the previous Dragon Ball movies. You can definitely feel his influence throughout the movie. His inclusion really does bring back the silliness that “Dragon Ball” was known for while blending the action set pieces that Hallmark the “Dragon Ball Z” franchise. I am an extremely big fan of Gohan as I'm sure many people who grew up watching Dragon Ball Z are. This movie does good service to the relationship between Gohan and Piccolo. The introduction of some actually interesting characters round out this fun movie.
My only criticism would be that it takes a little long to get going. The First Act is a little bit of a drag but after that, this becomes a really fun ride. And the very last Act of this movie is an amazing tactical set-piece. It definitely satisfies those of you who are big Gohan fans. And appreciate the Gohan and Piccolo relationship. I give Dragon Ball Super / Super Hero a 7.5 out of 10 definitely a satisfying Dragon Ball movie with great characters and awesome set pieces.

Bullet Train -Movie Review
#moviereview #bullettrain
Bullet Train. The best way to describe this movie is an action comedy assassin thriller. In the vein of Smoking Aces and more recently John Wick films. This film lives in a world where assassins are a dime a dozen. The story has the meeting on a train wear their missions begin to show the connection. Brad Pitt plays one of these assassins who is admittedly Living in a transitional period. These kinds of stories are only as good as the ensembles that are playing in them. And bullet train does have a solid Ensemble there are some really good actors here. Notably, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry play a pair of Assassins who are partners. And their chemistry is incredibly hilarious. They were the best part of the movie. Brad Pitt is very charming and definitely is able to carry The action. My biggest criticism there are just too many plots. It gets convoluted and honestly a little hard to decode after a little while. We are dealing with about four different intertwining plots that each has their own character and structure. Ultimately, I did enjoy my time with this film The Action is quite well done and there is definitely humor throughout. It should keep most people entertained. I give bullet train an 8.5 out of 10.

Vengeance - Movie Review
Vengeance - Movie Review
#vengeance #moviereview #bjnovak #vengencemoive
Vengeance by B.J. Novak is a neo-noir thriller comedy that takes place in West Texas. It is ultimately a fish-out-of-water tale about a man who is thrown into a mystery. The protagonist played by B.J. Novak is guilt-tripped into going to a funeral of a woman who he barely knows. She has told her family that he is her boyfriend and one of his relatives insists that she was murdered. So BJ uses the mystery of her death to create a podcast. This movie truly works on a comedic level I laughed out loud several times in the theater. And there are still some jokes that I am genuinely still thinking about. It has humor that is actually quite smart and makes you think. Ashton Kutcher plays a record producer that has one of the most interesting scenes I've ever seen him play. He really does chew the scenery in this role in a way that I haven't seen from him. BJ is funny and I think fits the role of a Northeastern coming to West Texas very well. And to Great comedic effect, he has some decent chemistry Boyd Holbrook. Holbrook plays a local who shows BJ the ropes of being in Texas. His character Ty also introduces the idea of a plot that may have ended in the death of his sister. Being from Texas myself I did appreciate the representation. Even if some of the stereotypes are a little played out. Ultimately I really enjoyed vengeance it was funny and really well put together. My only criticism of the film would be the ending. I feel it goes to a place that it doesn't earn but I do understand the decision. I give Vengeance an 8.5 out of 10 a really enjoyable time and has a cast of characters that'll keep you entertained.
NOPE - Movie Review
“Nope” is, a wildly inventive ride. This movie is filled to the brim with, subtext, and visual thrill. Jordan Peel has been able to craft out a career of making films that are his complete vision. Watching Studios give him the tools to do such inventive work has been fascinating.
Aspects of this film show me how much Peel has grown as a visual storyteller. It has sweeping shots that are reminiscent of Classic Adventure-Horror films. Like Peel's freshman and sophomore films, this contains subtext that informs every scene. Sometimes, all of those elements come together and create some of the best filmmaking I have seen Jordan Peele exercise. I am genuinely excited to see what he does next. The criticisms I have for the film lie in the way plots unfold.
Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya work very well together. They have a chemistry that works and their characters are very much opposed to each other. Kahlua plays a more subdued character that has a bit of melancholy. The Pair plays siblings and their interactions do prove to be pretty amusing most of the time. Steven Yeun Is great as an amusement park owner and Former Child Star. That plays into the story in a very pivotal way. His character also allows him to perform some theatrics. Separately these characters work very well it's when they come together or lack thereof where the movie Loses a little steam.
The movie is broken up into chapters but it is also really broken up into two separate plots that eventually meet each other. It is within this meeting that I think Jordan's writing falls a little flat. It by no means ruins the film. It does however make the connective tissue of these plots not very evident. The connective tissue is really All subtext. Meaning the audience would have to interpret how these two stories connect. Which I think is exactly what Jordan Peele was going for. I think it might leave some audience members lost.
The third Act of this film abandons sub-plots and gets to the meat of the story. And it works. Some of the most inventive and terrifying imagery I have seen. I give nope an 8.5 out of 10
Marcel the Shell with Shoes On - An incredible Adventure (Review)
Marcel the Shell with Shoes On. Is an incredible Adventure that is so wonderfully written It feels like a breath of fresh air. Marcel is the story of a shell who befriends a filmmaker played by Dean Fleischer-Camp. The unlikely pairing of these two characters unfolds in ways that change Marcel's life forever. The incredible performance of Jenny slate who plays Marcel is perfectly sentimental with confidence. The story of the film is an engaging one. We follow Marcel as he explains how he lives his life at the macro-level. The way he explains how he lives his day-to-day life is Charming and adds to the Mystique of the Fairy Tail nature of his life. His connection with his family feels honest and Greeley is what the movie is about. is most important family is his grandmother played by Isabella Rossellini. who is incredible Talent adds to the real Joy of watching this movie. Ultimately this movie is a Charming coming-of-age story about somebody growing up in a very small world. I loved every minute of it. I give Marcel the Shell with Shoes On A 10/10. I think this movie was perfect.
Thor Love and Thunder - Review
Thor Love and Thunder is the second film in the series for Taika Waititi. What he made here is a film that is both slapstick space adventure, and A fun ride. Many are saying that this film takes a turn for the silly. I don't completely disagree with this; a lot of the humor in this movie is a little too on-the-nose. However; most of the time it's really fun. I think Taika has really crafted a really well-written story and plot. And I think this movie has some of the most genuine and well-acted moments of levity. Because of the performances, Natalie Portman is really good. She's given something to do and is a really fleshed-out character and this helps inform the plot. The chemistry in this one is the best that I have seen between Natalie Portman and Chris Hemsworth. Ultimately I thought this movie was a really fun ride and I really dug the story. I give Thor love and Thunder 8.5/10 Ultimately, I do agree and the humor got a little out of hand but this is still a fantastic movie.

Lightyear Movie Review
Lightyear is the latest movie from Pixar picking up in the not-too-distant future with Buzz Lightyear. we follow our hero as he attempts to rescue a ship stranded in deep space. What follows is an epic space adventure where he meets up with an ensemble cast through a plot that is very high concept science fiction. There's a lot of fun in this movie however the plot is very convoluted and the high sci-fi concept I believe Falls a little flat. I do commend Pixar for making such an ambitious movie with the Lightyear property. I just feel that the execution was handfasted and just did not satisfy in the end. I give light year a 6.5 out of 10. There is a lot of fun to be had here I just don't think that the middle of the movie and the overall conclusion really went to the heights that I think were possible for this property.

Black Phone Review
Black Phone is the latest horror movie from Blumhouse. Directed by Scott Derrickson director of the last Doctor Strange movie and Sinister. Starring Ethan Hawke and an ensemble of young actors. The story centers around a small town that is experiencing abductions. We follow Finny and his family until he is abducted and placed under captivity. The story that follows uses Supernatural themes To move the plot forward in a really inventive way. Finney played by Mason Thames gives an incredible performance as a Young Man finding his way in the world. And also trying to escape an incredible situation. Ethan Hawke is incredible as a menacing villain. I give black phone. 8/10.

Elvis by Baz Luhrmann - Movie Review
Elvis by Baz Luhrmann
This movie recounts The Life and struggles of Elvis Presley. Austin Butler performance of Elvis is incredible. He does not create a caricature of the man but a true representation of who the man could have been. Tom Hanks also delivers a sinister performance as Elvis is a manager Colonel Tom Parker.
Baz luhrmann's direction of this film leaps off of the screen. The production design the musical numbers everything comes together in an extravaganza. Austin Butler's performances are also wonderful he seems his own music and his performance is wonderful. the story and plot jump through time in the beginning of Elvis's career to his eventual death. I believe sometimes these time jumps are a little too fast and leave the audience bewildered. This is also a very long movie almost 3 hours long. I believe that if it was cut by at least 20 to 30 minutes it would leave a much tighter and More cohesive. I give Elvis a 9 out of 10.
Jurassic World Dominion Review
Jurassic world Dominion Is the third film in the series. And promised to bring the franchise to an epic conclusion. This film also brings back Jurassic Park original cast members Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum. The overarching premise of this film is that dinosaurs have now inhabit all of our world. It is no surprise that critics are not very happy with this film. There is some satisfying dinosaur action and the added chemistry of the old cast with the new is fun.
However there are too many plot lines that intertwine this very bloated movie that do not satisfy. For much of the runtime you are left thinking where are the dinosaurs.
The dinosaurs are abandoned for pot lines that just don't fit the overall premise of Jurassic movies. This movie shines when it returns to the original tired Jurassic formula. Which it does for most of the third Act which is where most of the fun of this movie lands. I give Jurassic world Dominion a 6 out of 10
Crimes of the Future - Review /Cronenberg back at it
Crimes of the future is the latest film by David Cronenberg and the latest collaboration between him and Viggo Mortensen. The result is a film that can be categorized as a new Noir mystery. With elements of Cronenberg signature body horror and science-fiction. Many of the scenes of this movie are a sight to behold. However many of the scenes may be a little hard for those who are squeamish. The plot navigates through a story about humanity and how it's changing based on the way we have treated the environment. Viggo Mortensen does deliver a great performance and so does many of the actors. Cronenberg has always been a very good actros director. Being able to pull out very good performances for almost all of his actors.
The end result here I do believe falls flat because the plot is convoluted and a little difficult to really understand. For those of us who've seen Cronenberg films and know what to expect it is a little more clear. I do feel that there is another cut of this film that is far more clear with its trying to say. And it's message is too underneath the surface to clearly understand on First Watch. I give Crimes of the Future if 5.5 out of 10
Men - Movie Review
Men is the third film by Alex Garland it is a cabin in the woods style Thriller that doubles as an allegory for the feminine experience. Anchored by incredible performances by Jessie Buckley and Rory Kinnear the first half of the movie is a taut Thriller that utilizes performance cinematography and Sinister score to great effect. However It ultimately falls apart in the third act and turns into an esoteric cautionary Tale that abandons narrative.
Ultimately the incredible performances by its stars and its effective tone Does nothing to save it from its bombastic last 20 minutes. Alex Garland decides to abandon the narrative for shock and awe. and I think this ultimately makes it fall flat. 6 out of 10

Top Gun Maverick - Review
Top gun Maverick is the sequel to the 1986 cultural phenomenon “Top Gun”. Personally I don't feel that that movie aged very well. And don't think watching it is necessarily something you need to do to enjoy this film. I would recommend definitely going on YouTube and finding a five-minute recap of that movie to get a little caught up on a few things. But I really don't think it is necessary to enjoy this film.
Maverick is a quintessential summer blockbuster. Tom Cruise has put his mind, body and soul into movies for the last 10 years, and this is the culmination of all of that. He became an executive producer on the Mission Impossible movies because he was not allowed to do certain stunts. That decision paved the way for his influence to make this movie as grounded and awe inspiring as it is. I do feel that the beginning is lopsided and does lampoon the first film in a way that dose not fit. But it quickly turns into a spectacular ride that is quite coherent. And just far better made than the original. Joseph Kosinski director of this film has a visual style that helps the audience be in the cockpit with these Pilots.
Overall I believe this film starts a little ham fisted and sloppy but then turns into an exhilarating fun thrill Ride ride. 9.5 out of 10
Firestarter - Review
John Carpenter does not direct this film but provides the score which is incredible and it almost saves it.
Firestarter is a slog to get through even with solid performances from Zac Efron and Ryan Kiera Armstrong who plays the title character. Not an extremely difficult plot to understand but the execution is just lopsided. Character motivations are just strange and really don't make any sense. And it really just leaves you wondering what the character motivations really were.

The Northman starring Alexander Skarsgard and directed by Robert Eggers. Is A brutal film that takes place in the Viking era. Alexander Skarsgard brings his most Shakespearean performance in a tot Revenge Thriller. Nicole Kidman and Anya Taylor-joy both bring as much to the screen as they can in this Shakespearean retelling. It is both a joy to watch and a brutal film of Revenge.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent - Review
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is a film about Nicolas Cage. The plot surrounds cage as he's trying to figure out his career and I was also dealing with massive debt. Pedro Pascal shines as a super fan of Nicolas Cage who invites them to his birthday. This film was fun and really shines when both Pedro Pascal Nicolas Cage are on screen together.
