Allison Hueman // S3 Ep 205 // How Genuine Relationships Lead to Success
Welcome back to Season 3, Episode 205 of the Asian Hustle Network Podcast! We are very excited to have Allison Hueman on this week's show with our host, Misa Chien.
Allison Hueman is a multidisciplinary artist based in Oakland, CA. Recently celebrated for her ground-breaking NBA jersey design for the Golden State Warriors, Hueman’s work comes to life in multiple mediums.
Whether she is creating delicate visions on canvas, augmenting reality through video projections and other digital media, or crushing massive walls with a spray can, she often draws on the human condition to create colorful mash-ups of the abstract and figurative.
In January 2022, Hueman premiered her award-winning immersive art experience, Homebody, a 20,000-square-foot experience brought to life by projection mapping and augmented reality. Hueman’s distinctly gauzy art style is what she likes to call “etherealism,” a blend of ethereal realism. Her pieces explore themes of time, memory, trauma, and healing, and her layered work can be seen on streets and in galleries worldwide.
She balances her time between exhibitions and creating public works while also collaborating with some of the world's top brands that include the Wynn Las Vegas, Adobe, Nike, Google, L’Oreal, Sony Music, and many more. Her work has found homes in the collections of Ava Duvernay, Usher, P!nk, and Swizz Beats.

After founding 12Pell 4 years ago, the business has expanded to two retail locations and a member's house. 12Pell's quick rise in media has earned itself a title as "the barbershop with the largest social media presence" in the nation. The business has recently formed a media arm that is focused on leading a new generational voice for men's grooming and education. As 12 Pell clients and viewers like to say, a visit to 12Pell is synonymous with "crying tears of joy" or "being blessed."

Prior to his legal career, Vince made a name for himself as a serial entrepreneur. He started an innovative nightlife promotions company, co-founded an international leadership camp, and co-founded a national hot sauce brand.
But even more notably, Vince joins us today as a reality tv star who was cast as the first ever Asian male “bachelor” in the new reality dating show “The One That Got Away” now streaming on Amazon Prime Video and Amazon Freevee.
Although there have been other Asian men that have been cast on reality dating shows, Vince is not cast in the typical role where we’ve seen other Asian men before. But rather, Vince is one of the main leads of the show whose journey we get to watch unfold as he dates and eliminates girls that have come from his past to take their shot at love with him — think a missed connection from high school or even a girl you flirted with one night at a bar.
However, what’s also incredibly groundbreaking about Vince’s journey is that you see him date girls from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds and witness firsthand how he navigates different cultural barriers that often arise in interracial dating.

As an Asian American immigrant, female entrepreneur, and working mother, she sees the world through a wide lens and finds the industry to be male-dominated and lacking a feminine touch.
In her words-- "Luxury is supposed to be about how a product or service makes you feel. That's what's missing in the big-box retail sector. We focus on every single detail, from the craftsmanship and engineering of our jewelry, to how it makes a person feel when they put it on. Whether it’s a gift from a loved one, an engagement ring, or a “treat yourself” moment, that single piece of jewelry is part of a person's journey that they can take with them throughout the rest of their lives. By taking people's stories, inspirations, energy and mixing it with my passion for diamonds and meticulous craftsmanship... that's what makes By Bonnie's pieces so unique."
