About Our Guest
Ruwa Romman is the Representative of Georgia State House District 97. She is an organizer, policy analyst, and management specialist who works to empower communities to become more civically engaged. Romman has leveraged her platform through her work organizing with Asian American Advocacy Fund, co-founding the Georgia Volunteer Hub, and organizing with the Georgia Muslim Voter Project. Romman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Oglethorpe University, and a Masters in Public Policy from Georgetown University. Additionally, she has worked for a professional services management company developing improved strategies to deal with major policy issues at the local, state, and federal level.

Representative Samuel Park serves as the Georgia state representative for House District 101. He serves as the first Democratic state representative of Asian-American origin in the Georgia state legislature. Representative Park currently serves as the deputy whip in the Georgia House Democratic Caucus and vice-chair for the Gwinnett State House Delegation. Additionally, he is a certified public attorney and serves as one for “Positive Impact Health Centers,” a non-profit organization committed to fighting the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Georgia.
