The holidays can be overwhelming for many people and it often takes a great toll on our mental health, which in turn affects our physical health. We struggle to accommodate family and friends when many would prefer to enjoy a quiet time at home without all the fuss. The stress from trying to appease everyone and meet their needs while we end up neglecting our own takes a huge toll on our mental and physical well-being. While it can be wonderful to spend time with family it can also be very stressful. What can you do? Self care is important to maintaining your sanity. The holidays, mental health, and self-care. Let's Talk About It.

AU4H Radio-Real Talk-Every Child Matters-Institutional/Residential School Abuse Awareness
Join Lee, Donna and Laurie as they discuss the importance of being aware of the historical facts of the sad reality for so many children who were sent to Residential Schools or Institutions and died. Many were murdered, and many died from abuse. Families were often told that their child had run away, when in fact the child was dead and buried. In the light of the recent finding of 215 children in a mass grave in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, we want to also honour these children and all children who suffered and those who died at the hands of a caregiver whose main job was to protect them and care for them. We stand up and speak out against all abuse, and especially child abuse. Children cannot protect themselves and we must be their voice! Join us and get involved. Every child matters!

AU4H Radio-Real Talk-April is Child Abuse Prevention and Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Join Donna, Lee and Laurie as we discuss the importance of being involved in Child Abuse Prevention and Sexual Assault awareness all year long, not just in April. We have been advocating together and separately to stop and prevent child abuse for many years and we have no plans on ever stopping until this plague in our world stops. Children are dying and people are sexually assaulted every day. Our world needs to wake up and demand that this stops. It won't stop if we do not continue to create awareness and promote changes in the way society thinks about children and about sexual abuse of anyone. We all have a voice, and we all need to use it! Let's change this! Let's talk about it!

AU4H Radio Presents our Community Kids Watch Program
Advocates United for Humanity welcomes their new #communitykidswatch program that promotes see something, say something! AU4H ‘Community Kids Watch’ program is a simple act of kindness that anyone can take part in. The ‘Community Kids Watch’ program helps children in the community feel safe and protected knowing their families, friends, and community are attentively watching over them. Each person in their neighbourhood, apartment complex, street, or community vows to take a stand to help stop child abuse by “watching, listening and reporting” any suspected abuse towards a child. Many people fear reporting suspected child abuse thinking if they are wrong they will be charged for filing a false report. There is no wrong in doing what you believe is right to protect a child. Making a report in good faith will not get you in any trouble. By reporting the suspected abuse you may save a child's life. Please don’t let another child die by not making the call if you suspect abuse. WHO CAN BE INVOLVED? Any community resident can be part of the Community Kids Watch Program and help keep an eye out for neighborhood children.
As a Community Kids Watch Ambassador:
1. You vow to protect children, All children.
2. If you see, hear or suspect a child is being abused or neglected it is your moral responsibility to report it. Reports can be filed anonymously with your state’s Child Abuse Hotline. If you are unsure of the process or need that information please contact AU4H at: au4h@yahoo.com or message us via Facebook message system with a number you may be reached at and we can help guide you through the process.
3. If you file a report, you will be updated as allowed by law.
