Bae's Kamp Podcast Episode 18 - YOLO/Risk-Taking During Our Youth

*****Just a quick heads-up to our listeners that we have a slight audio difficulties in this episode. We apologize for the quality and rest assured that this has been looked into and taken care of next episode! Thanks! - Anj.*****

What’s up KAMPons and welcome to another Bae's Kamp Podcast episode!

In this very appropriately numbered episode (18), the hosts decided to take a trip down memory lane (tito and tita moment for the nth time) and talked about  YOLO-ing and their Risktaking behaviour during their youth. They talked about how they define YOLO, and chatted how adventurous they were during the time of Friendster, EBs, dial-up internet connection, and the lack of smartphone capabilities (remember dot matrix phone types?). We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as our hosts did recording this episode! Tune in now!

Bae's Kamp Podcast Episode 11 - Keeping the Rhythm: Thoughts on Running

Bae's Kamp Podcast Episode 11 - Keeping the Rhythm: Thoughts on Running

READY, SET, GO! This is an episode dedicated to running. You will hear Jerky, Key, and Phil, talk about how they got hooked into running - did they choose running or did running choose them? They also divulged their humble beginnings (they all had to start with something) in doing the sport, preferences, and some personal tips they had learned from years of running. The three hosts had a lot to say and it’s a good thing Angela is there to moderate and contain the excitement of the three runner hosts, even just by a little bit.

Hope you enjoy listening to this episode as much as the hosts did in recording this podcast!

Bae's Kamp Podcast Episode 7 - Personal Finance

Hello KAMPons! Happy Halloween!

For this episode we talked about a topic that might be scary to some: Personal Finance. Hosts Phil, Jer_ky, Angela, and K Abad chatted about how they manage their personal income. The round-table discussion started with income distribution and how  they allocate their hard-earned money, including fixed expenses and big-ticket spending. They also talked about budgeting, debt (!), insurance, and savings. Listen now to find out more and probably learn a thing or two from their discussion.

Disclaimer: The hosts are not financial advisers and are just sharing their personal experiences. It is recommended to seek the help of a registered financial adviser when it comes to money matters.

Bae's Kamp Podcast Episode 6 - Career Paths

It’s back to school season again! It may be a bit different this time around but students have already started their learning process by opening their bags, preparing their notebooks, writing down notes, and listening to lectures delivered by their beloved teachers or professors. Hence, for this episode, Anj, K, Jerky, and Tito Phil decided to share how they ended up in their chosen careers.

You’ll hear their thoughts about: what are their dream careers as children; were they able to stick with their dream as they grew older; what are their thought-process when deciding what courses to take in college/university, and what they feel about their current careers at the moment and if they will be doing it for the rest of their working lives.

All earbuds, earpods, earphones on board, and tune-in to learn more from this Bae’s Kamp conversation!

Bae's Kamp Podcast Episode 5 - Wellness

Bae's Kamp Podcast Episode 5 - Wellness

We always ask someone how are they doing but when was the last time you asked yourself that question?  Let us be honest to ourselves here for a moment and think when was the last time you told yourself, “I feel well.”

On this episode, Phil, Angela, K, and Jer_ky decided to have an open discussion about what wellness is all about in their own words. They started by defining what it means to be well and then moving on to how awareness plays a key role in taking steps to move forward in one’s journey to personal wellness. Based on their POVs on both the Philippine and Canadian environments, they touched on the topics of age, cultural differences, and practices as these relate to health and wellness. Finally, with the pandemic situation that the world is in, the hosts share how they keep themselves in check as far as their own personal well-being is concerned.

Hit the play button to listen to their comparison of dating in their 20s vs their 30s and the other subtopics related to potentially creating a connection with another human being. From dating apps, defining dating in their own words, and what they feel about the modern dating scene, you’ll hear them share their personal POVs. Furthermore, our hosts gave us a peek on how they (used to) manage their dating life by answering questions such as, what goes on their dates, do they go for quality or quantity and how becoming “wiser” has made an impact on how they behave towards meeting new people.

Bae's Kamp Podcast Episode 3 - Childhood Food and Snacks

Bae's Kamp Podcast Episode 3 - Childhood Food and Snacks

Hello KAMPons! Angela, K, Jer_Ky and Phil decided to turn back the clock and officially start a podcast mini-series! Called “Nostalgia Series,” this will feature discussions about certain aspects of their lives that are closely tied to their younger self and will be published from time to time on this channel. For this episode they are joined by one of their friends, Chris.

The inaugural Nostalgia Series episode focused on their most memorable Childhood Food and Snacks. The hosts opened up on what their favorite food and drink items are and why they enjoyed these so much. Also, how culinary delights ranging from their mom’s cooking, to sari-sari store cravings, cafeteria experience, and the remarkable street-food scene in the 90’s and early 00’s affected their juvenile taste buds as to how they eat now as adults. Is there such a thing as an odd food combination and if so, can this be attributed to their childhood snacking choices? You have to listen to this episode to find out!
