This week I catch up with an old friend who I met back from the, you guessed it, pizza pirate days of my youth. Nick is an intelligent and interesting dude, who's accomplishments include being a decent Smash Bros player, but also a professional brewer. More interestingly, is that he started off in a garage doing home brews, and stuck with it, improved himself and applied his knowledge and now gets paid for doing what he loves. AND he brought 3 of his brews to the podcast, which was a god damned treat. give it up for one rad dude, pop a homebrew, and enjoy suckas!!

This week I sit down with fellow bartender and long time friend of mine Shannon Bettencourt. We talk about the differences of being a dude vs being a chick behind the bar and our high school scams. She keeps calculating for inflation, and the difference of moving 100 miles away from our hometown. Especially during covid. She also talk about her home made zombie sauce, it's made with some cheese I cant pronounce. And we both struggle throughout the podcast with coasters...

Matt Decker and I sit down an discuss the benefits of Benicia, how moving to Oakland was his safe choice, and if Kanye is the greatest composer of all time. He's a Tattoo artist, a father and a DM! He's a guy who came into the bar with cool hats, and a good attitude, and we hit it off quickly, originally because of our common interest in Dungeons and Dragons, but later on I began to enjoy him for his diverse and philosophical mindset. He grew up in a time when being a "nerd" was physically dangerous, where nowadays it helps you open a Vegan Chili café in Portland. This dude is awesome for a great many reasons, and we recorded about a third of our conversation that night. I had a great time, I hope you enjoy it suckas!

This week I catch up with an old friend who I recently got back in touch with. And we really dig deep into the power of transformation. He talks about his journey and why he left town, and the trials he's endured. And how far he's come, and how we can always grow and improve ourselves, even when there is no one to help you. He talks about the physical and mental changes he's gone through, and how happiness can be attained. It was really great to catch up, and it filled me with joy to see how far my friend has come over the years, enjoy dudes!! We did this one remotely, so  we had to reconnect once towards the end.

Me and my man Blake sit down and talk about motorcycles, why you shouldn't sky dive and bars. He's from South Carolina and came out here to work in the cannabis industry, which he is excelling in. He likes fishing, napping at grandmas house, and smoking, but it better not be tobacco!

We tried to do this months ago, but mid podcast my equipment went to shit, which made me buy real equipment, so you can all thank Blake for the giant leap in audio quality! 

Me and Uncle Stanza get together and discuss being too tall, the problems of high school, and of course the king of malt liquor. He talks about saving babies for a living, the journey to get there and how a continuation school got him where he is today. And drops a bomb about our friend Jonus' relation to N2deep.  He's tall, he's fun, he's Eric Cost!!

Beard, check. Long Hair, check. Overly positive perspective on enjoying life because it is fickle and death is imminent, check! Me and my man Cory sit down and cover ground. Here's a guy I met through a friend, and we have like interests, but more interestingly, we have found completely separate paths, only to come to the same conclusions about things like happiness, self worth, and life. There's much to be learned from the hard lessons of life, and self reflection is inherently difficult,  but it is powerful. And psychedelics may just be the key. Sure they are currently illegal where we reside,  but at one time so was alcohol, birth control, and interracial marriage. If something exists than can open your mind, change your narrow perspective, help you with your self worth and image, and PTSD, it's time to reconsider its legal standing. Enjoy suckas!! She runs 2 businesses, she's a mom, shes a wife,  she's a friend, she's an absolute complete and total bad ass... I met her 13 years ago, and then, and now, she has always had the capability to destroy me. She's a killing machine, who runs businesses, raises a kid, and still finds ways to eat pizza and have fun. She can teach you how to save money, get in shape, seriously hurt people, and live a full throttle happy life. Graham is back, and we played a horrible game where we take shots every fifteen minutes. For the love of god do not follow along. I think its the drunkest I've ever been. And Graham brought a breathalyzer so we could track the progress of our terrible decisions. We go down the rabbit hole from aviation to bars and always back to star wars.  Special intro from some one we'll call "Derek".Its a wild ride, grab a drink and listen up, but don't drink like we did, it might actually kill you.

Me and my old friend Alex Albrecht sit down and catch up. new equipment finally works, and we try it out. we talk about how the hell we graduated high school, rumors of my death, being "functional" nerds, and park fights with swords. He's a rad guy who's always been himself, and we also drank a half gallon of Home made Mead, that was 15%. I had a blast! grab a drink and listen up suckas!

Thaleis Windrunner Ravenwood, aka Thal, the doctor, or doctor Thal. My friend who I met back in my World of Warcraft days something like 13 years ago.He was and remains the "tank" of the group. We reminisce on the old gaming days, talk about our mutual friends, and our lasting friendship despite having met online, and living states apart. He's a big part of why I started the podcast, and he taught me about the Anchor platform that I use now. He's an animal, he's my homie, he's my tank!

My equipment is still down so we recorded on an IPhone, and it got cut off at 1 hour but..... Me and my actual brother Pat Hurley sit down, and go down memory lane. Talking about beat downs as kids, how we disagree on pretty much everything, how far we’ve come as people. And how we are still friends despite our vast differences.

I had a critical failure with this weeks podcast, and so I've had to reschedule for another recording in the future. In the mean time, this is me talking about myself for a bit. some insight to my mind, some opinions on death and happiness, and then I talk about my cars for a while. She's the OG of the bar. The Mother Hen, the Queen Bee, the glue that binds us. She's put in almost 20 years at our beautiful establishment. Before Covid, before food, before the remodel, before beer on tap, before smoking was banned, she was there. At 5 years in, she makes me look like its my first day. She's learned a trick or 12, can fill the bar with the snap of her fingers, and is the definition of working smarter not harder. Some call her Cow-Girl, some call her meat smuggler. But everyone knows Lindsie! Grab a drink, and listen as the master and the apprentice talk it out for a couple hours!!

I sit down with my favorite 7 year old Logan. He talks about the business flaws of the local nerd game store. He figures out a simple solution to make the world happy involving birds with hats, and tells me I need to get my podcast on youtube. Like and subscribe suckas!!

He's back and I didn't fuck up the recording this time. From Burger king, to Godzilla we really cover ground in this one. Marine, Leotard salesmen, Certified Bra fitter, He's done a lot! He can't go to the airport, can't be close to pregnant women or children, has precious minerals embedded on his insides,  and he sets off the Geiger counter.
