Anxiety with Children 3-10 Years
Hello again and welcome to another episode. Today, we talked about diagnosing anxiety and all the several ways that it may present in kids. Does the kid show an excessive amount of worry or fear? Does the client have a rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, dizziness, nausea? When do these symptoms show? What is triggering this behavior? There are so many similar symptoms and a lot of the time, kids can’t verbally communicate what’s happening with themselves, which makes diagnosing even more difficult. We also discussed interventions and all we need before we can begin our work, and what a day in the office looks like in these scenarios. In conclusion, it’s a really enlightening episode, especially for those working with kids.
Anxiety With Expecting Mom’s
Treating patients with anxiety is not an easy task. Add pregnancy chemicals into the mix, and it becomes the perfect blend for an anxiety tornado. When you are carrying another human being, neurotransmitters and hormones are all over the place, making us more vulnerable to “thought funnels”. Join me in this episode where I address how to decrease anxiety symptoms when the patient is, literally, creating life.
