S4. Ep.6 Leadership Styles Are Caught, Not Taught w/ Coach Barney
Here’s a compelling description for Part 2 of this concept:
🎙 B.E.A.S.T. Mentality Podcast – Part 2: "Leadership Styles Are Caught, Not Taught" w/ Coach Barney
In Part 2 of this series, I sit down with Coach Barney from Södertälje to explore a powerful leadership framework he calls VIRKA—inspired by the Swedish term for knitting/crochet. Just like leadership, problem-solving is a process of weaving together different elements to create a strong foundation.
🔍 VIRKA Breakdown:
✅ V – Vad (What is the problem?)
✅ I – Identify (Who is involved, directly or indirectly?)
✅ R – Reasonable Reaction (What is a fair response?)
✅ K – Compromise (Finding middle ground)
✅ A – Action (Taking steps to solve it)
We also discuss the three levels of problem-solving in sports and leadership:
1️⃣ Personal – Solve it between the individuals involved.
2️⃣ Coach – Bring in a coach for guidance.
3️⃣ Parents – When necessary, involve parents to support resolution.
🚀 This episode dives deep into how leaders solve problems, build culture, and create accountability within a team or organization. If you want to develop a leadership style that is caught, not just taught, this is a must-listen!

S4. Ep.5 Leadership Styles Are Caught, Not Taught"
🎙 B.E.A.S.T. Mentality Podcast – "Leadership Styles Are Caught, Not Taught"
In this episode of the B.E.A.S.T. Mentality Podcast, we dive into the concept that leadership isn’t just something you learn—it’s something you absorb by being in the right environment. The best leaders don’t just teach; they demonstrate through their actions, mindset, and presence.
I break down how being around great coaches, mentors, and high-level competitors naturally elevates your leadership style. If you want to lead—whether in sports, business, or life—you need to position yourself in spaces where leadership is modeled, not just explained.
🚀 If you're serious about growth, leadership, and surrounding yourself with the right influences, this episode is for you.

This requires a deeper annotation of the material and a greater understanding. Why would I do a book review when I am not in school? Becasue I don't read for entertainment, I read to learn and grow! S3 Ep. 3 When Your Yoga Instructor Is Your Therapist Pt.1
I started yoga when I was 20 years old. I was a sophomore in College and I wanted to become more flexible to prevent injuries I heard good things. I was hooked, it became a way for me to relieve stress and reduce injuries. I recently found a studio in Providence, RI where the instructor made me cry for the first time in a VERY long time. I've been to many funerals, and many tragic things have happened in my life, but a hot yoga class where I almost passed out made me cry.
The instructor was motivating, yet authentic with her connections and her passion for the sport of Yoga. This passion led me to ask her to be on a podcast. This was by far one of my favorite podcasts because it was free therapy.
Tara owns a studio in Providence Rhode Island called Love Offensive Yoga. If you would like to attend a class and experience an eye-opening, soul-stirring class click here:

Els is a good friend I met from my travels in London through Noah Godwin who has been on the podcast a number of times. I decided to sit down with her and dive into mental health.
