Christine Swanson- Behind The Scenes, BLACK WOMEN (In the Film Industry)

This week Mann Robinson sits down with the Award-winning director Christine Swanson. She is a filmmaker and producer of Faith Works Studios, who directed the TV One movie Love Under New Management: The Miki Howard Story starring Teyonah Parris, episodes of the hit TV show Chicago PD and FBI, and the indie romance films All About You and its sequel All About Us. In 2020, Lifetime will air her latest film, The Clark Sisters: The First Ladies of Gospel, a biopic about the legendary gospel singing group. The movie follows two civil rights attorneys who sue the U.S. Department of Justice for reparations and damages on behalf of African Americans citizens, bringing back time travel witnesses, like Harriet Tubman, Medgar Evers, and Emmett Till in full character, to tell their stories to a modern-day courtroom.
