Garion’s tripping on memories being recalled by the Orb, as the company flies down through the caves beneath Rak Cthol inside the earthquake triggered by Ctuchik’s utter destruction. He’s the one witness who truly understands the struggle of faith Relg goes through in his decision to pass through the rockfall and rescue Taiba.

Sondra has book promo excitement and nerves, and is fizzing over the new words she wrote into the draft of Emerald on Her Tongue. Creativism is how she lives! Also she performs a micro recorder concert, just livin’ her best Shire life.

Alysia’s in the flow of writing magic, stunning herself with the brilliance of her writing chops and remembering to love her 3D self. She convinces Sondra to stop being so stuck and decided about shows not being as good as the books from which they’re derived.

They’re both swapping discoveries of witches.

Castle of Wizardry, Prologue

Magician’s Gambit, Chapter 27

Garion follows Wolf through the strange and horrible rooms of Ctuchik’s tower as the orb song swells in his body and mind. His grandfather does battle with the evil magician until Ctuchik destroys himself, the aftermath of which cracks the city apart around them. In the end Garion scoops up the innocent orb thief just in time to flee the wreckage and re-enter the caves.

Sondra is in data overload recovery (again) after coming down from the excitement of fresh, juicy learnings and is reminding herself to also breathe.

Alysia is feeling the richness of her writing and the Muse is spinning tales for her to birth the fiction and nonfiction of our lives.

Sondra has redesigned and reissued her whole Embodying Earth series of books and must be in alignment because she accidentally created a new book while she was at it.

Alysia is in a week of beginnings and nurturing her body, her dreaming, her financial resources, her self-assurance.

They’re both ready to welcome abundance into their lives. It’s all about lightening intense energies by rising to meet the call.

Garion swims through black sand with sea monsters in the freezing wasteland of an empty sea, while Silk turns inside out in the aftermath of his internal rockslide. There’s a bit of swordplay, axeplay, and rockplay before the company sets course over shaking ground toward the smoking volcano.

Sondra is in the depths of despair of ever being able to finish watching Anne with an E, and poking her sore spots.

Alysia is toasting her happy birthday with friends and a couple of quiet whiskeys, and shedding happy tears in celebration of new readers in her world.

Magician’s Gambit, Chapter 22

Garion slides back down into the gully with Barak with the news of Silk’s capture. He waits around with everyone else for hours in the dark, spiralling down internally into guilt and grief, remembering Lelldorin for the first time in ages, while Relg prays his way through the rock wall of the pit to rescue Silk.

Sondra has been ambushed by a year of work upending down the drain. Now she’s finding the advantages of a startling change of direction. Is panic the appropriate response to her youngest daughter’s discovery of “Pawn of Prophecy” in a favourite second hand book shop and beginning to read the story?

Alysia is feeling the synchronicity of her life and being let from the beyond by Wayne Dyer. He’s in her Kindle! She’s moved to tears at the connection and resonance of flowing in a state of non-resistance.

They both have favourite rollercoasters but like to avoid vom time. It’s a nice balance. Kind of like motherhood.

Garion meets Silk’s Nadrak “friend” Yarblek and is amazed by the way Aunt Pol behaves when Yarblek asks to buy her. Relg gets a cold and thinks he’s dying. Silk freaks out and flees when he hears the King of the Murgos is on his way. But, too late! Brill has finally captured his man.

Sondra is drawing more mystical creatures with layer and layers of colour, and they’re talking to her! She needs to remember that she’s an EFT, Reiki and Meditation therapist and get back to being her own client.

Alysia is cleaning out the glug, body, mind and spirit. Anybody else here getting up at 4:45 to meditate for an hour?! She’s being all inspirational and expanded – just totally gorgeous, basically.

Magician’s Gambit, Chapter 20

Garion has become Relg’s confessor—the Ulgo is having a tough time of it this week. Our teenage hero is witness to the horror of a Thull hurling himself from the top of the Eastern Escarpment, but the horror turns to sickness when he hears Silk explain why The Thull had been so willing to die by his own design.

Sondra is still drawing and painting, and is NOT chopping her wife’s toe off. She’s been deep in the design and build of her publishing company’s new website, which has caused her to be mean to herself about not writing new words into her books.

Alysia has been spending time with friends and drawing on her fave fantasy stories in her drawings. She’s getting more aware of her stressors and remaining centred in the face of close friends who would have her believe in their version of right.

They’re both keeping their inspirational wells filled by drawing many threads into their weave of experience, and touch on religious woundings and how we heal from them.

Garion and the gang are out of the caves of Ulgo and back in the sunshine on the surface. He inadvertently nominates himself for Relg duty, which basically means to keep the newly emerged cave-dweller calm enough about open sky to not run screaming into the forest.

Sondra tries to expound upon the attributes of the peoples of the Belgariad. It’s a hilarious effort. She’s painting and feeling the freshness of new creation and inspiration.

Alysia is using drawing to release heavy stuff and maybe it will turn into something more: cha-ching! After all, inspiration is meant to be followed when it strikes.

Alysia is in Covid recovery with Supernatural, and she’s wondering what does being a professional writer look like? She’s centred and calm, even after coming through some tumultuous December happenings.

Sondra gets passionate about personal responsibility around vaccinations. Her sleep has been disturbed lately, but she’s more focused since returning to work after her proper no-business vacation. And she’s added the title of “Artist” to her collection!

They both don’t get flu shots.

Magician’s Gambit, Chapter 17

Ce’Nedra acknowledges to herself that her bad behaviour is due to her continual state of fright since joining the group. The Gorim surprises her by recognising she’s a dryad, and her haughty sass plonks her into a situation of having to listen to a tiresome ancient story. But she’s captivated and learns about UL. Relg antagonises them all and ends up demonstrating why anyone might be willing to put up with his company.

Sondra is moving her body more, inside and outside, and has a case of standing-desk joy. Oh, and she’s relieved to no longer have a numb face.

Alysia is giddy with the euphoria of completing her Raven Dreams trilogy, and is exploring all the aspects of becoming supernatural.

They both relish the deepening process of creative work and enjoy some Supernatural fangirl time as Alysia discovers another first! The television show, “Supernatural”

Magician’s Gambit, Chapter 16

Garion enters the portal and descends into the red-tinted dark caves of the Ulgos feeling the weight of the mountain as well as their seemingly bottomless depths. He is profoundly moved by the neverending echo of the Ulgo hymn that has sounded in the caves for thousands of years, and again when he meets the Gorim, knowing instinctively that he is perhaps the holiest man in the world.

Sondra is rolling around in yin yoga yumminess and feeling rewarded for writing every day. Her current favourite yoga session is at the end of these show notes if you want to get some yummy, yourself.

Alysia is learning to trade cryptocurrency from Aussie teachers and connecting with that new community and loved ones. Her spirit guides are giving clear (and familiar) message from to be of service by writing. Check out her book The Wonder Soul if you enjoy a magical experience now and then.

Garion is feeling drained in the aftermath of working magic with Aunt Pol, and even though he’s worried about Durnik being unconscious for so long and the others being injured, he is present enough to prompt his aunt to get Wolf back on track when his grandfather gets lost in the misery of his grief. Belgarath then leads them up the mountain and through the worsening blizzard to the mysterious abandoned city of Prolgu.

Sondra has been making plans and opened her shared virtual writing studio once more because mortality paid a visit. Alysia has been enjoying Halloween festivities? But so much peopling has not sparked her fire. It seems they both draw energy from opposite forms of social interaction.

Magician’s Gambit, Chapter 14

Garion is again reigned in by Aunt Pol when he reaches for his sword to join the others as they fight off an attack from Grul the Eldrak and his pack of rockwolves. His grandfather leaps into the fray in wolf form. Garion and his aunt perform a piece of sorcery so powerful it takes their combined focus and their medallions to build the required will. Aunt Pol releases the spell with the word, Mother, after which an ephemeral smaller wolf appears surrounded with a flickering blue aura and speaking with a woman’s voice.

Sondra is actively in toxin elimination mode, experiencing some surprising clarity of mind as a side-effect of her latest attempt to curb her stank, and has some cooking tips for sensitive tums. Digestion talk, people. We all poop.

Alysia is dealing with an unpleasant body imbalance. Stress? She’s reading the signs, but it’s definitely NOT the wine. Nope. Nothing to do with that. She’s also opening her eyes and mind to the world of cryptocurrency. What have you asked the universe for lately?

Magician’s Gambit, Chapter 11

Garion meets Aldur and is blessed, claiming the God as his Master without knowing why. He spends time contemplating the passing of what he senses is a significant threshold and then sets out to discover how much more complicated the doing of deliberate magic is compared to instinctive magic.

Sondra is enjoying the autumn changes and feeling much better now that her creative spark has returned. Alysia is diving into darkness and feeling the light of the dark, engaging in her first deliberate shadow work. Magician’s Gambit, Chapter 10

Garion is nervous about Ce’Nedra who is watching him all the time. He projects his mind into that of the little colt, confirming the existence of a special bond between them. Mr Wolf relates a brief history of the ruined towers they pass once they reach the Vale of Aldur but is subdued and seems to not want to elaborate. But after the group reaches The Tree, Wolf takes Garion to his tower and relates some family history, and after some intimate instruction in The Will and The Word Garion wonders if he might be able to move the very big rock that launched Wolf’s sorcery studies.

Sondra is toasting the Autumn Equinox with mead in the garden and feeling profoundly supported by a new art therapy she’s discovered. Alysia is feeling the divine protection of peace beyond understanding, and sparking more life lessons with Lucifer whose story seems tailored just for her. They are both feeling the heaviness of social media and a readiness to release its grip on their attention.

Magician’s Gambit, Chapter 9

Garion is embarrassed at the awed respect being directed at him by all the horses and the colt’s uncensored adoration. He finally understands why he needs guidance in sorcery and realises that just because he can do something with his power doesn’t mean he should. His relationship with Ce’Nedra has reached the point of being able to pick up on her unspoken signals that she’s busting for an argument.

Sondra is invoking dark moon energy and re-dedicating her word to herself. Alysia’s in the fire storm and is writing to herself in her new book. They are both softening into divine timing, baby!

Garion’s attention fades from the reality of Mandorallen confessing his deepest fear when he is called by the profound magic of the cave and shifts into an altered state of consciousness to bring a new-born colt back to life.

Sondra is attempting to drink the oceans—unsuccessfully, and the berating of her cruel internal voice has required her to launch into emergency self-care mode. Alysia is on the magic crystal water of transformation and shifting to complete presence as a mother while embodying past selves in her writing to bring her character to the realisation of her own transformation. arion wakes up with everyone else on the north edge of Maragor, keeps holding Ce’Nedra’s hand just because it feels nice and later on pays for an exuberant kiss with a load of snow down his collar. Between the appearance of a scruffy band of robbers and encountering a more dangerous group of murgos led by Brill, Garion also gets to see Silk at his sneaky and snarky best.

Sondra is channelling vibrational essences again, and with that comes an update to the cold sore saga in the form of a profound energy shift. Alysia made it through the summer of COVID in a remarkably zen state of mind, and is claiming AO epic fantasy for her own. They are both practising presence like never before, feeling centred and empowered.

Magician’s Gambit, Prologue

Queen of Sorcery, Chapter 30

Sondra’s being conscious about keeping her cup full, what with many extended therapy and counselling sessions, a dentist appointment, and the probable postponement of her wedding party due to the Netherlands being a hotspot for COVID-19. Alysia’s making little connections in business that are actually huge, and clinging to sanity and red wine around school closures (and The Conversation). They’re both seeing the positives in the current state of world affairs.

Garion washes Nyissa off his person and sheds his brief blush-inducing loincloth. He’s still a virgin, still refusing Aunt Pol’s guidance, and can’t celebrate Barak’s new son’s existence because beer and Nyissan drugs, which are still in his system, are not a pleasant cocktail. Ce’Nedra kisses him and gets coy, then hates him and runs away from his declaration that Salmissra is the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen. So, he’s still clueless also. He needs Belgarath! Good thing his hand and medallion fit perfectly to guide the old man back to them.

Where Sondra’s writing and publishing stuff is going great, but emotional upheaval is breaking out all over her face as she’s caught between fiction and reality; Alysia’s new book is being noticed in wonderful ways, and staying present is becoming a regular state of existence; and they’re both supporting and loving on each other.

Garion becomes aware of a deception before Silk does (WTF) and finds out it’s because he’s brighter than he looks. He becomes an unwilling servant to Ce’Nedra regardless of her abysmal lying ability, and has to deal with feeling jealous of Aunt Pol’s attentions to the girl.
