Alone in the Dark - A modern re-imagining in the works
Do you love Lovecraftian inspired horror games? Ever wonder where they got their start? Look no further than Alone in the Dark, a 2nd iteration of Lovecraftian horror and also an early 3d survival horror that many modern horror games were inspired by. This is a real piece of history here. This modern take will be based on the very first game released back in 1992, and a mix of the first 3 games in the series. Instead of 3rd person fixed perspective, we're getting Resident Evil 2 Remake inspired over the shoulder views. It will be amazing to see this game done up in a way that an early 90's developer never dreamed of. This series deserves to be done in with glory.

July Update - The current games I'm playing
Hey all! I wanted to get this recorded sooner, but I've been a bit busy. From the last episode, I've been playing Sonic Origins, Far Cry 5 which I just finished, and just started Far Cry 6. Not mentioned is that I'm also playing As Dusk Falls, a game similar to a visual novel. More on that one later. It surely has been a wonderful summer for gaming.

Sonic Origins announced - Soon to be speeding our way
Sega announced the release of Sonic Origins. Set to be released June 23rd, 2022. Very exciting. While Sonic 1 and 2 has seen more recent releases like in the Sega Classics collection, Sonic 3 and Knuckles has not seen a re-release since 2011. The last I saw was for the Xbox 360 which was 2009. This collection is very important for the series. Not only will we get the classic games, we will also see them remastered in a new anniversary mode and with a few extra goodies. Click here for the pricing chart. Sonic 3 I consider to be the most important game in the classic era. It contains some of the best music, but it also introduced Knuckles to the series. The game also saw MJ create some epic music. Click here to watch an informative video on his collaboration with Sega and some of the drama that went down. Not all was fun and games.
Will you be picking up this title? I surely will. Sonic will be priced at $39.99 for the base game and at $44.99 for the digital deluxe edition. Spend the few extra bucks and secure all the game has to offer.

BOTW2 Delay / Sony Unveils Its New Subscription Service / The Stanley Parable Deluxe Edition
What a wild week for gaming it's been. Nintendo announced Breath of the wild 2 would be delayed until 2023. While we have been waiting for the game for quite awhile, it's sad that we have to wait longer. Will the wait be worth it? Yes, but it sucks waiting. Perhaps Nintendo will also announce new hardware? We shall see.
Sony unveiled their new subscription service and pricing model. $9.99 for the PlayStation Plus Essential tier, $14.99 for the PlayStation Plus Extra tier, and $17.99 for the PlayStation Plus Premium tier in the USA. The premium tier is where the juicy bits are, but I'd rather just pay for PS1 games by itself without the extra. Will it be a worthy adversary to Xbox Gamepass??
The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe releases on April 27th, 2022. This is a gem that you don't want to miss. Check out the trailer!!

Let's take a trip down memory lane to a land of insanity. Illbleed is a horror game for the Dreamcast set in a fictional horror theme park called Illbleed. Each of the attractions are based on a fictional B horror movie. No one else at the time had made a game like this. It's not your traditional survival horror game. It's one wild ride of weirdness.

Resident Evil Village - It's finally coming / Other franchises catching on releasing their own surprises - What to expect?
Vampires, witches, and werewolves OH MY! Resident Evil Village at last has a set date. May 7, 2021. I hope to have a PS5 by then, but no sweat. RE Village will be on the older gen systems and will receive a free upgrade! Yay!! I also speculate on what I think will take place.

With the success of Mario's 35th anniversary, it seems other franchises are following suit. Tomb Raider had an official announcement this past week. Though no games are mentioned, a Netflix anime series was. They are looking to connect the reboot trilogy with the PS1 classics. I'm thinking they will do re-imaginings of the older games to make them fit in with the newer Lara Croft, then when we're caught up, a new game will take off. This is exciting! Fatal Frame was also mentioned earlier this month and I hope we're in for some real treats. The Fatal Frame series is quality and I hope they do us fans good. The last bit of the episode is dedicated to the Sega Dreamcast game "D2" from the mind of Kenji Eno his studio, Warp. It's a shame that these games are falling into obscurity. This was one of the strangest games I've gotten to play. The Dreamcast had some interesting ideas for sure. The last bit of the audio can get a little loud. I also recommend you watch the video on youtube as well to see how the scene plays out. There's a big surprise at the end. Very disturbing. Ocarina of time Rumors - Will Nintendo plot to take us back in time?
A few friends excitedly sent me a link to this website. The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time rumors. I'll take what I can get. Any news is candy for my imagination. This year is the 35th anniversary of the very first game in the series, which was released on February 21, 1986. Will the Zelda franchise get the same treatment as Mario did? I certainly hope so!!

KFC is really coming out with a gaming console - what a way to end 2020.
I recently heard that KFC was releasing a new console. Apparently they made this news known back in June, but I saw nothing about it. Weird. What a way to end 2020. I also wanted to talk about Cyberpunk 2077, but what else is there to say? Maybe next episode.

The world of Cyberpunk 2077 is massive and full of life, as well as glitches and broken graphics. I've been very fortunate to not experience much of this, but my heart goes out to those that have. Graphics can be fixed, but sometimes faith cannot.

PS5 Scalpers galore -_- When will the madness end? / Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Is it worth it?
I'm still on the hunt for a PS5. As much as I'm hoping, I won't be getting one before the end of the year, and that's ok. Sony will hopefully up the shipments and beat out the scalpers.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Do you have it and love it? I'm just getting started with it. I've been able to play some games that have been on my wishlist for a bit now. I'm enjoying myself so far.

Remothered Broken Porcelain - Horror done somewhat right
I'm a big fan of the Remothered series. The first of a 3 part series was released back in summer of 2018. 2 years later, the sequel arrived. Due to Covid-19, the game wasn't as polished as it could have been. With the game finally released, we will be seeing patches for sometime in order to make the game more playable. I'm all for it and look forward to all the fixes. The game series has been inspired by a number of movies, video games, and TV shows.
We also talk about some of the music in both games.

Sorry for the delay. It's been a super busy last few months. I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things. This month brings new games including Remothered Broken Porcelain which is inspired by classic games such as Clock Tower, Haunting Ground, and Rule of Rose. I'm very excited to check this out. This month will bring plenty of horror movie watchings and the other fun festivities that come with the season.

Ghost Story games is working on something new for us. What could it be? I have high hopes from the director who brought us games such as Bioshock Infinite. Also, what really goes into the making of our video games? Blood, sweat, and games. Is the cost of ones sanity worth a game? Developers work in harsh conditions for our benefit. When does it go too far when it comes down to what we play? Some do it because they love it but you must also strike a balance with work life and personal life.

Breath of the Wild talk, Sonic/Mario 64 anniversaries Mini-Sode
I'm so excited for Breath of the Wild 2 that I speculate some about what's to come. Also this month we celebrate the release of Sonic the Hedgehog on the Genesis way back in 1991. Do you have fond memories of the Genesis games? Mario 64 is also another important game to be released in 1996 on the very same day. Coincidence?

Ben Does Gaming Trailer 1
Hey there. Welcome to Ben Does Gaming. You can call me Ben! Thank you for tuning in.
You know, I've been wanting to do this for a long time but always found myself too busy, or I'd tell myself, “I’ll do it tomorrow.” Before I knew it, tomorrow became a week, a month, etc. Not anymore! It's now or never.
What I'm aiming to achieve with this podcast is to deliver gaming news and opinions on the seemingly infinite number of games out there as well as the occasional movie. There's so much to talk about that it's kinda ridiculous.
During these trying times, escapism is very much needed and a good game can be cathartic. This month, the PS5 was revealed and there's so much to go over. For my first actual episode, I will be talking about it and the game I’ve been most excited for: Resident Evil Village and a few others.
