Shirley Dor: Marketing Guru, Therapist, & Renaissance Woman

Shirley Dor: Marketing Guru, Therapist, & Renaissance Woman

In this week's episode of Beyond Sa'k Pase, I interview Haitian-American Influencer Shirley Dorsainvil, better known as Shirley Dor. An enthusiastic serial entrepreneur leveraging social spheres to maximize the online presence of small businesses nationwide. The proclaimed Renaissance Woman has over 5 years of multi-industry expertise in integrative marketing, social media and network strategy, brand development, fundraising, and crisis management. In 2017, Shirley applied her corporate expertise in telecommunication marketing into an expanded digital presence through her online community Haitians Who Blog. What began as an online hub for over 23K global followers and 2.5K email subscribers transformed into a digital hub reframing the image of Haiti while educating creatives via online products and resources. The Top 20, Under 40 digital strategists flourished a passion to accelerate the growth of small and mid-sized, minority- owned businesses via Dorsainvil Creative Group in 2019. The minority centered agency focuses on creative and brand management with specialties in talent acquisition, marketing, and branding. Overall, providing private consulting services, online courses, and management where brands and influencers can educate themselves by engaging in their workshops. When “The Marketing Therapist” is not growing her brand, she is spending her time servicing minority children with developmental disorders and educating minority communities via social mediums on mental health in Black and Caribbean populations.

Naomie Pascal: Building A Haitian Community One Step At A Time

Naomie Pascal: Building A Haitian Community One Step At A Time

On the first episode of Beyond Sa'k Pase, Graham interviews Haitian-American Naomie Pascal. A Radiology Technologist by trade who has made it her life mission to bring together the largest network of Haitian immigrants in Charlotte, NC and other states and cities in the Southeast. Born in Haiti and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Naomie is at first an introvert and admits she's not always the one who makes the first move. However, once people befriend Naomie, she becomes a reliable friend for life, and she inspires a sense of loyalty and unconditional friendship. During this interview, Graham attempts to explore Naomie's upbringing, her background, her core beliefs and her motivations to be so patient, and passionate about the Haitian community in the diaspora. Naomie is also a founding member of Haitian Heritage and Friends of Haiti, a Haitian-American non-profit organization which became one of the very first groups to bring humanitarian and medical aid to Haiti in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake which struck Haiti in 2010. Graham & Naomie also chat about parenting as Haitian-Americans and breaking the generational habit of corporal punishments.  If you enjoy this episode of Beyond Sak Pase, please leave us a comment on Apple Podcast or whichever is your favorite podcast app. Please subscribe for future episodes.
