Zone of Genius
This week I discuss the lessons I am learning from the book "The Big Leap."
Some key takeaways from this episode are:
- Growth occurs in Spurts
- Slow and Steady wins the race
- God helps those who help themselves
- and what it is like to live in your zone of genius
zoneofgenius.com is one of the resources I used to find some of this information. I also use Hoopla [a free resource from my local library to listen to FREE audiobooks, including The Big Leap.]
Two other books that I am reading that I HIGHLY recommend are:
The Artist's Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity
by Julia Cameron
and
The Courage to Be Disliked
by Fumitake Koga and Ichiro Kishimi
Ego Deaths & Reality Checks
This bitch has been going THROUGH IT.
This week's episode gives you a little insight on the revelations I have had during this Dark Night of the Soul. I have had to come face to face with the reality of where I am TODAY vs. where I thought I would be.
I speak about the current struggles I have been experiencing when it comes to grief, my career, my home life, and my expectations vs. my reality.
I have been exploring the recesses of my mind, venturing off into the dark corners of my soul that I tend to try to ignore while also trying to reset my expectations about where my life "should" be.
If you have been feeling "stuck" or disappointed, this is the episode for you.
Honing Your Desires
“Don’t Believe Everything You Think”
This week’s episode is an invitation to challenge your beliefs.
I have been reading two different books ( 1. ”Don’t Believe Everything You Think” by Joseph Nguyen and 2. ”The Astonishing Power of Emotions: Let Your Feelings Be Your Guide” by Esther and Jerry Hicks) and both books touch on the idea that your thoughts are the root of your suffering.
Last week I challenging you guys to do an audit of which actions are working and which ones aren’t. This week is all about running an audit of which thoughts are serving us and which aren’t. I give specific examples from my life and offer a breakdown of how to separate yourself from your thoughts and beliefs and really start to analyze if they are serving your or if they need to be released.
‘Don’t Believe Everything You Think” has been so helpful in explaining the difference between “thinking” and a “thought.” I do recommend buying the book because it does offer a lot of great information, AND it has a few great exercises at the end of the book to help you separate which thoughts/activities are conducive to a peaceful existence and which patterns are leading to suffering.

“What’s Working vs. What Isn’t”
The most important part of this process is to be radically honest with yourself. It can be hard to admit when we could be doing more. Or to admit that the actions we have been taking…just aren’t working anymore. And it can be difficult to readjust and recalibrate, but it is necessary if we want to continue to expand and push our boundaries.
Sometimes our method of operations has ann expiration date. Things that used to serve us no longer do. And we have to trust ourselves to release those old ways of doing things and invite in new habits, actions, or rituals that have a greater impact on our growth or success.
Even becoming aware of what’s working and what isn’t had a drastic effect on things for me. Just bringing attention to the things that aren’t working for me (shame, guilt, stress) showed me that it wasn’t my actions that were the issue—it was the emotions that I was carrying into the process with them.
Sending so much love,
Dahlia
Human Design with Rosuara Alvarez
Rosaura is BACK! and this time she has come to discuss one of my all time favorite subjects: Human Design.
If you aren't familiar with Human Design, it is basically a super-system that can be used as a roadmap for guidance on how to use your energy as well as just general aspects of your identity that may make you feel more seen than ever before.
If you have never generated your human design chart before, here is a link to use before you get started listening:
https://www.myhumandesign.com/
OR
https://freehumandesignchart.com/
Human design is incredibly dense, so it can be overwhelming to see all of the arrows and gates and numbers, but this episode breaks down the major aspects of human design so that you can at least get started diving into some of the bigger parts of your design.
This week's episode is also available on VIDEO! and what a great guest to start with because not only is Rosaura incredibly intelligent and well-spoken, she is also GORGEOUS. If you would like to get a personalized reading from Rosaura or hear more from her, be sure to check her out on social media!
“You’ll See It When You Believe It”
This week’s episode is a compilation of two recordings. I give you an update on the medication situation, discuss the role of shame in my life and manifestations, AND discuss how I have been choosing differently. I talk about Dana’s content, so here is the link for her TikTok
And here is the link to receive her FREE De-shaming class

“Mistakes”
What Are You Leaving on Your Plate?
What are you telling the universe that you’re not interested in?
Remember that we are CONSTANTLY communicating with the universe. Ask yourself "what am I telling the Universe that I like through my actions?"
If the Universe looked at what we were interacting with as an indication that we wanted more of that thing- what would we be signaling that we want more of? What would the Universe think that we enjoy? What message are we sending to the Universe about what we want?
I so often learn through my son-sometimes it feels like he teaches me more than I could ever teach him, and this week was no different. He helped me realize that the Universe assumes that what I engage with is what I like, and leave what I don't.
In this episode I break down what message we are sending to the Universe about our desires and encourage you to get intentional. Whether you do this in as a full-on vision board, or just write down a quick list, I encourage you to be specific about what you do like and what you don't.
And figuring out what you want is only half the battle (although it is a vital first step), the most important factor when manifesting your dream life is to send focus to those things and take actionable steps that are in alignment with the things that you want.
Remember, "where focus goes, energy flows."
Where has your focus been? Are you happy with the thoughts that have been sending out signals to the Universe about the kind of life that you want to live? If so, keep it up! Have a moment of gratitude to yourself for staying in alignment with your dreams.
And if not-simply forgive yourself for getting off-track and reconnect with your purpose. Recommit to your goals. Reenergize your routines and connect back to the habits that are in alignment with that of your Highest Self.
And remember that you are not alone on your journey. Healing can be such a lonely journey, and the isolation can feel unbearable, but it is important to remember that so many people feel exactly the way you do. I am here as a resource always, and if I don't know how to help, I am committed to finding someone who can.
I love you always,
dahlia

Vulnerability: Binge or Cringe
Being vulnerable may seem like my strong suit—but this episode gives an example of how and why I struggle to open up to the people in my life. Being open is terrifying. We run the risk of being hurt; but this episode covers why it’s important to open up EVEN IF we get hurt. And it's not only about opening up once—but staying open even after we get hurt.

Venus Retrograde: Our “Love Stories” in Review
Don’t let the astrological verbiage scare you, you won’t need any prior knowledge of astrology to enjoy this episode.
Basically we are using this time to review our beliefs and “stories” about LOVE:
What are my beliefs? Where did they come from? Are they serving me? And what would I like my beliefs around love to look like moving forward?
I share some of the outdated beliefs that I had about love, how I moved through them, and what I want them to look like moving forward. I’d love to hear some of the stories around love that have been coming up for you guys, so please feel free to reach out as always: https://linktr.ee/dahliabradshaw

Blending FYPs
I’m [not] Fine.
!!TRIGGER WARNINGS!!
This week's episode carries a LOT of heaviness with it. I speak very openly about depression, suicidal thoughts and feelings, and sexual assault.
Now there is a happy ending--but if this is a conversation you do not yet feel ready to have, I encourage you to take your time and listen at a time that feels right for you.
I just want to remind everyone that it is okay if you are experiencing depression and encourage everyone to feel safe existing with those feelings. I also want to encourage you to NEVER feel shame when it comes to your mental health. I know this is easier said than done, and that's something I discuss in this podcast episode as well.
Even though I am- for the majority of the time- an open book, there are still some things that are very difficult for me to talk about.
My battle with depression is definitely one of them; but to pretend that it doesn't exist is a disservice to myself as well as others who have had a similar experience.
I encourage everyone to check out the link to Adriene's yoga class EVEN if you've never done yoga. It is a gentle, easy class that really helped me tap into those emotions I had been running from and really lean into the present moment and the feelings I am currently experiencing.
with so much love,

30 Days of Prioritizing Pleasure
Restrict and Binge Cycle
You may have heard of the Restrict and Binge Cycle as an Eating Disorder, but this week I realized that this was the pattern that was permeating every aspect of my life.
This episode covers how I've been dealing with trying to find balance and decrease some of the intensity of my binge/restrict cycles.

Over-Correcting and Balance
Update on my 30 Days of Prioritizing Pleasure Journey.
This week I want to remind you that over-correction is not a bad thing, it's NORMAL. We are learning to make different choices that are in alignment with our purpose, and that is not an easy thing to do.
As we heal, we have to learn to trust ourselves to make the right decisions--and this can be hard when you don't trust yourself.
So allowing myself to make mistakes has been a vital part of this journey.
I want to encourage all of you to keep going, don't push through the discomfort--relax into it.

Prioritize Pleasure
Trigger Warning.
This week's episode is deeply personal. I discuss my recent struggle with depression and medication.
In my pursuit to take care of my mental health, I have decided to Prioritize Pleasure. I realized that I was sending mixed signals to the Universe because I didn't even know what I want. I still don't.
So, for 30 days, I will be searching for things that make me feel good. I want to get curious about pleasure.
Because if I want the Universe to send me the things that I want....I have to figure out what those things are.
So I welcome you to come on this journey with me. Get curious and explore what it is that makes us happy; and not just look for pleasure--but prioritize it.
Thank you guys so much for all of your support. I couldn't do any of this without you.

The Power of The Flirt- with Benjamin Camras
This week's podcast guest was Benjamin Camras- Flirt Coach Extraordinaire.
I had such a blast with Benjamin discussing all things fLiRty. He offered insights on building confidence, long distance and platonic flirting, and even how he makes the connection between flirting and spirituality!
This was one of my favorite interviews so far, so grab a Cosmo, follow Benjamin on all the platforms, and settle in as you listen or WATCH this week's episode.

Body Dysmorphia- with Rosaura Alvarez
This week's topic is a heavy one, and I want everyone listening to know that I am not a licensed therapist. I am only qualified to speak on my experience.
However, I felt like this was an important conversation to have. Rosaura and I spoke about how this type of trauma is often invalidated, and I want you all to know that Body Dysmorphia and Eating Disorders are serious issues. They can bleed into every area of our lives. So, though this episode may be triggering, it felt like it was a conversation that I needed to have.
This week, we discuss listening to your body, coming to a point of neutrality about food, the effects of family dynamics on eating habits and body image, and working through our trauma to see food as a source of energy rather than something that is directly connected to our WORTH.
Thank you guys for listening, and I want you to know that even if I don't have the answers you need--I want to connect you to someone who does. So ALWAYS ALWAYS feel free to reach out if you are struggling. My goal is to be a safe space where you can be heard and supported.
I love you guys,

Surrendering to the Universe & Manifesting your Dreams
The focus of the past 7 weeks for me has been "surrender."
Now don't get me wrong--it has been a struggle the entire time.
BUT!
When I am able to surrender in those moments, the ease with which I move through my life astounds even me. It feels like the more we try to control and force our manifestations, the more likely they are to happen...
but paradoxically, the opposite is true.
The more we release our grip on the attachments to how we think our manifestations should come about--the more likely we are to receive them. We just have to open ourselves up to the idea that the universe is going to surprise us.
If you're ready to invest in yourself, or have been looking for a shake up out of stagnancy--check out my new manifestation course!

ADAPT- Staying on Track Even in Times of Change
Have you ever been working really hard, and just as you begin to see results and find your groove—something happens and stops your progress dead in its tracks? This can be INCREDIBLY discouraging. You should absolutely take your time and listen to what your body is telling you to do. However, I also encourage you to have a real, honest check-in with yourself and ask “am I sitting in the victim role?”
It is easy to get stuck there—it gives us the freedom to avoid accepting responsibility for our circumstances. And it is a SLIPPERY SLOPE. So with this in mind, this week’s episode is about adapting to change and not sitting on the sidelines long enough to let it effect our progress. Sometimes, there are things that cannot be changed. Let yourself off the hook for those things. Focus solely on what you have control over, and you will know at the end of the day that you did everything you could, & you can trust the universe to take care of the rest.

Investing in YOURSELF
I have been taking this time to LEARN and grow, and really focusing on investing in myself.
In this episode, I talk about what that has looked like for me and ways that you can invest in YOURSELF.
It all started with this episode of Be Great with Nate: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/be-great-with-nate/id1503914610?i=1000590323448
Nate discusses what it looks like to really face the numbers and get honest with yourself about your financial situation. So, I took what he taught and put it into action, & honestly I have seen nothing but positive improvement—even when it didn’t feel safe to trust those improvements.
I hope you guys enjoy this episode, and feel free to reach out & share how you investing in yourself!

Project Parent- with Jenny Hwang
Jenny Hwang has been a psychologist for over 20 years, and now through Tiktok, she is reaching people around the world in hopes of teaching them how to navigate parenthood. She focuses specifically on how to parent...DUH DUH DUHHHHH... Teenagers. *shudders* Jenny offers so many great tips on how to better communicate with teenagers, but she also really helped me understand a lot about how and why my parents made the decisions that they made during my childhood and teen years. She has so much insight on how to navigate the treacherous waters of parenthood, but she also offers us one of the most important reminders that we can have as both parents and children--parents are just human.

Spiritual Pilgrimage: Dahlia Takes New York!
I followed the White Rabbit to New York, and I found MAGIC!
This week I'm catching you guys up on my trip to New York. I cover how I overcame my fear of flying, what it was like to be in New York for the first time, and the experience of gathering together with a group of content creators and finally feeling like I was where I belonged.
I 100% manifested this trip happening, and I am so glad that I pushed through my fear (because there was a TON of it) and put myself in an uncomfortable position to prove to myself that I am capable of so much more than I give myself credit for. I met an amazing group of like-minded strangers, made amazing connections, and showed myself that I can do scary things. :)

Sex & Shame with Luci Lampe
This week's episode took a lot of courage for me to record, but Luci speaks about sex with such openness that the anxiety fell away. We discuss how she uses her platform to normalize sex and pleasure, encourage couple's to heal and learn to communicate, as well as our childhood experiences that shaped the way we looked at sex.
