Dr. Darryl Hylton co-founded The Collegiate Black Male Network to increase the persistence and graduation rates of collegiate African-American males through mentoring. Through this work, he is able to mentor students, facilitate training, and engage individuals on how to change the narrative of Black men.

One of his early accomplishments in his 35 year career was that he helped roll out code globally to many of Microsoft's core products and after that, he served as the first Technical Advisor to the CTO of Microsoft. He co-founded the Microsoft Leap program which was named Microsoft’s D&I Program of the Year in 2020.
