- Download. This feature is good to distribute files to clients.
- Multimedia. I love this feature. I have added tools and websites to my course, allowing clients to use and browse directly in the course.
- PDF. This allows clients to view and download pdf documents directly on the screen.
- Audio. I will upload a short audio file to supplement the information I’ve already added.

Episode 41: 6 Top Factors When Choosing A Learning Platform
You’re looking for a learning platform for your signature program, but you don’t know where to start. Here are 6 factors you need to consider when making a choice.
1. Affordability. As a startup business owner, your coins are tight. So you have to be mindful of the investments you make. It’s not wise to go for expensive options until you have consistent revenue and cash flow to support them. Look at platforms that have free trials or free to start so you may test them out. Also, look at platforms that have learning platforms included in your fees.
– Thinkific has a free plan that allows you to have 1 course. The upgrade is affordable and robust.
– Google Workspace has a learning platform included in its $18 a month membership.
2. Integrations. Choose a platform that allows you to integrate with other apps and payment gateways, including Zapier, seamlessly. You’ll need to attach your newsletter, payment gateways, and more to your learning platform. You need the platforms to have good relationships and be compatible for ease of use for both the client and you.
3. Support and customer service. Customer service and support are key. Many platforms have better customer service for paid members. However, many also have support groups. The support groups can be more helpful than the help desk. At the end of the day, you need to be able to reach out for help and get a response in a reasonable amount of time, as well as offer suggestions for updates.
4. Ease of use. The platform you use needs to be easy to set up, manage, and utilize from both the client and admin standpoint. Good platforms allow you to offer content in various ways, such as video, text, multimedia, quizzes, and so much more.
5. Reviews. Check out client reviews. If you see anything below a 4.0, look for better options. 5.0 is nearly impossible to find, but anywhere between 4.0 and 5.0 is good. The company works hard to offer competitive pricing, stays up with market trends, and cares about the client’s experience and needs.
6. Longevity. Choose a company you feel comfortable staying with for a while. Unless you are a proven sales ninja in the specific industry you are creating a course in; chances are it will take you some time to outgrow the platform you choose. So pick one that you can grow with. Moving platforms is necessary from time to time, and it is also a giant pain in the butt.
Let’s recap.
Look for affordability, integration capability, support and customer service, ease of use, client reviews, and longevity when considering your learning platform for your signature program.
Episode 40: How to Handle The Objection Of "I Can Do It On My Own"
How to Handle The Objection Of "I Can Do It On My Own"
- Agree with the lead that they can do it on their own because it's true. They can.
- If they say it's expensive or that it's time-consuming agree with them on that as well. Your program isn't cheap and running a business does take time.
- Then share with them why "doing it" on their own is not a good idea. Point out the potential time and money waste they will experience.
- Ask them what is leading them towards working on their own.
- If it's money-related, share your funding options.
- If it's time-related, share your self-paced On-Demand options.
To learn more sales techniques, apply for Business Launch Prep School, visit home.blps.live to apply for our summer cohort starting July 7th, while space is available.
Episode 39: How To Handle The Money Objection During A Sales Call
Offer your lead various ways to pay for your high-ticket offer will increase your chances of converting your lead to a client. Coaching is more affordable to the average everyday person, and with that comes the need to offer other payment options than lump sums.
During the episode, I mention my affiliate links below. I may make money from these links if you enroll in their programs or services.

Episode 38: Closing The Wealth Gap via Financial Literacy with Tara Smith
Tara Smith is a Financial Literacy Coach from Dallas, TX. Her ultimate goal is to be a big part of eliminating the huge percentage of people who have less than perfect credit and who don't understand Financial Literacy. Her biggest achievement so far was getting people that have never focused on their financial future before to become more engaged with it. She enjoys seeing others achieve their goals.
Episode 37: 10 Questions You Want Answered Before Your Discovery Call
Many leads want the below questions answered before they speak to a coach, trainer, or consultant on the phone. Having the below questions answered before the sales call will help with trust. The lead may still bring these questions up; however, they will feel more trusting when working with you.
- How do I know your program and services are legitimate?
- If I want to enroll in your program or services, but I can’t pay in full?
- I can do this on my own.
- I don’t care about making money. I just want to help people.
- What if I don’t have time?
- I want to pray on it.
- What if I feel bad for taking the money from my family?
- How do I know I’ll be successful?
- What is your refund policy?
- Why do you have an application process?

Episode 27: Catching Up In 2022
In this episode I discuss my month off, new standards for the new year, my $500K goal, more visibility, and much more.
Episode 26: The Greatest Salesmen of All Time
In this episode, we talk about the greatest salesmen of all time, Jesus Christ and John the Baptist.
John the Baptist was sent by God, John 1 1:6-8, to prepare the masses for Jesus' arrival. John was homeless living off the land. Initially, the masses didn't want to speak to him because he wasn't the Messiah. However, John was so convicted about the benefits of the product/service (Jesus) that was selling, that he was prepared to give his life for it.
Jesus Christ was God's only son who would be sacrificed for our sins. Jesus had to sell the benefits of God's glory, life in heaven after death, that he offered demonstration (miracles), recruited a team (the disciples), and was ready to die for it. He was convicted in his service (eternal salvation) that gives his life for it.
2,021 years later, we are still talking about Jesus' sales technique and service.
Episode 25: Dear Money
It's time you and money had a discussion about your relationship. If I looked on your Facebook profile, what would I see? Would you have "It's Complicated"? "Married"? "Divorced"?
Your relationship with money is reciprocal. The energy and behavior you have toward money will cycle back to you. If you are abusive to money, it will respond in kind. If you are loving and caring for money, it will reflect that as well. Naturally, we are not putting money above the love of God. However, if we do not display our respect for the gifts from God, then God will be less inclined to give us an abundance of it.
You are less likely to give your child a toy that they keep throwing off the balcony. However, if your child plays with the toy and treats it with respect, then you will be more likely to reward them with more. Make sense?

Episode 23: Stop Sending God Mixed Messages
There is an internal conflict that resides in most Christians about money. We want the overflow, but in the same breath we'll send it away with statements like "I just want enough to pay bills." Or "The love of money is evil."
I'm here to tell you to stop it. It's okay to want to be wealthy. 2 Corinthians 9:8 states, "And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others." What does that mean? It means that he wants to give you the desires of your heart. He wants you to be wealthy so that you can give to others. You can't do that if you're broke. It's none of your concern what your family and friends think of you and your blessings. You leave that to God. If they are jealous, that's none of your business.
Choose to listen to your Father, like you would want your children to listen to you. If your Father says He will "generously provide all you need", don't say, think, or do anything contrary to that. Don't pretend to not want more in front of your friends and pray that God sends you more behind closed doors. Be of one mind with God. If God is the one that matters most, then your friend's and family's opinions don't matter. Let them harbor negative feelings about your blessings. That's not your business or concern.

Episode 22: Profits Are Not Fortune Tellers
Stop treating profits like fortune tellers. They are not given the complete vision of what God has for them. Instead, they are given a tiny piece of the puzzle. You have to go back and ask God for the instructions to get you to your destination. Stop asking your profits for the next steps or to solve your problem when you get stuck. They are given a tiny piece of the puzzle, for which many times you aren't supposed to know about. Many times profits are told to pray about what has been revealed. When they are given a vision for you to receive, you need to go to God for confirmation and instruction. Profits are not replacements for our Father.
It's important to understand this because God has given you the steps to your business, and you are not taking it because you are waiting for confirmation from your profit. No! When you do what he tells you to do, you eventually see a much bigger and better version of the vision he gave the profit. Sometimes your next step is to invest in your business development so that you are spiritually and technically smart and strong enough to handle the vision he gave you or the profit.

Episode 21: Your Pastor Lied To You
Your pastor didn't tell you the whole story when they said "Your overflow is coming." He wasn't talking about you. He was talking to the men and women who are doing the work God assigned to them. He is talking to the men and women who didn't decide to do their own thing because it was more popular or more fun. Trust me, he isn't talking to you hon.
Listen to the entire episode before you get upset. It's not too late to receive your overflow. There are more details that should have been put into the serum.

Episode 19: Coaching Myth Busted: Start Slow and Price Low
According to the International Coaching Federation, 2020 Global Coaching Study Executive Summary, the average US annual revenue for coaches is $62,000 per year and $47,000 per year globally. These averages could be higher if coaching programs, senior coaches, and other influencers encouraged their students and new coaches to charge appropriately. Instead, it is encouraged that new coaches start slow with solely one-on-one clients, and charge either nothing or far under $100/hour. The problem with this is coaches are left trying to do the agonizing tasks of deciding if they are worth being paid more. This will happen time and time again, every single time they choose to raise their rates.
As coaches, we teach our clients to look within for validation, but we teach our coaches to look externally for permission to raise our rates. As a result, our schedules are overloaded with clients who are paying too little and demanding too much. We're left frustrated as we watch other coaches making multiple six figures their first year and not understanding how they did it.
I say jump off the cliff and have faith that God will catch you. Start strong with a group program and charge 4-5 figures for your time. You will do fine. You will learn and your clients will thank you. Your services will improve.

Episode 18: How To Generate Revenue As A New Coach
When you first start your coaching practice, finding paying clients can be tough. Below are ways to bring revenue into your practice while you build your client base.
- Enrollment Coach: Larger coaching practices need sales coaches to help with inbound sales. This will offer you the opportunity to coach and build your sales skills. Most of the time the commission is pretty good as well.
- Sales Representative (Inbound or Outbound Sales): Sales is coaching first the learn about the client's needs, and closing second. The more sales training you have, the better.
- Coach for a growing practice: Many small and large practices need help with coaching their growing client roster.
- Coaching for Corporate or Local Government Agencies: The easiest way to access opportunities is utilizing your relationships. The sales cycle for B2B is much longer, but it is very lucrative. Just make sure you have enough money set aside to carry you for about 6-months to a year.

Epsiode 16: How To Capture Video Reviews From Your Clients
How To Capture Video Reviews From Your Clients
It is easier than you think to capture video reviews from your clients.
First, do not wait until after the program or service end date to ask for your first review. You will not receive the robust review that you are looking for.
Instead, ask for a review during your time with your client in your group or one-on-one session. Choose a pivotal point in their journey where they are really excited. Let them know you will ask for a review in future sessions so they can prepare. Then during the sessions ask them about how they felt before they worked with you and during your time together. Close to the end ask them how they feel about their progress. Last ask them to share with you any advice they would give to someone who is undecided or on the fence about working with you.
Listen to the podcast for more details.
You can do this. I believe in you.

Episode 14: What To Do When Your Client Wants To Quit Your Product & Service
At some point in your coaching career, you will have a client decide to quit your services. Below are a few reasons why.
- The client does not have the mental or emotional fortitude to lean into the hard part of the transformation. The client may feel like it's emotionally too hard.
- The client might get stuck in a particular part of your program and be too afraid or prideful to ask for help. The is more common than you think. Sometimes it's related to personal developments in their life and other times it's the subject matter that they are reviewing.
- The client didn't want to participate in the first place. This is easy to avoid in the sales process... prior to their enrollment.
Here are some tips to address the situation in a humane manner.
- Review the client signed agreement. Ensure that the agreement that the client signed clearly states their financial obligations. Is the client obligated to continue to make payments regardless of enrollment status? If not, you'll need to add it to future agreements.
- Contact the client via email to establish concern for their wellbeing and document that you did reach out. Then call them on the phone and leave a voice message. You may also text. But email and phone calls are essential.
- Remind them of their financial responsibility and, if possible, offer alternative arrangements for the client to re-engage.
Business is business. You eat what you kill, and if your clients don't pay you, you don't eat. You don't have a job to fall back on if the client doesn't decide to honor their responsibilities.

Episode 13: Client Prospection Tips
In BLPS we talk about your new content plan is based on your signature program. When sharing content, people will comment and like your posts and videos. When that happens, go to their inbox and thank them for their engagement and ask them what resonated with them. Start having a conversation with them and learn if you need to help them and potentially pre-qualify them. Then, at the appropriate time, get them on the phone for a discovery call.

Episode 12: Client Acquisitions: How to get more clients.
There is a misconception that if you build a funnel or post on social media, the clients will come. These methods do not help until you have developed a tribe and have established yourself as an expert. Instead, you need to go get your clients. You need to go to where they are, be friendly, earn their trust, and offer to help them solve their problem. Your pricing needs to demonstrate value. Your program needs to be of value. It is too early in the game to talk about funnels. Instead, join your target audience groups and listen to their complaints. Then be there for them. Only jump in their inbox after they have liked or commented on your post on FB or Instagram. If it's LinkedIn make an introduction first and connect with them. Then briefly, like one short paragraph, say what you do, and ask them what they do. Do not start with a pitch immediately.

Episode 10: How To Attract Clients That Are Ready To Pay Your Rates
Target Audience Development: Know your target audience. A shortcut is to start with who you were before the transformation. Then build upon that. The person does not have to be rich, just willing and ready to find a way to pay for the solution you provide to their problem. If you don't know what your soulmate client is doing at this very moment you don't know enough.
Self-Confidence: If you are desperate, uncertain, or generally have low esteem about your value, then you will attract like sales leads. When you are 100% confident in the transformation you can provide and your value, you will attract leads who are confident in your value and results.
Handling Objections: When you handle objections prior to the discovery call, you are putting the lead at ease. The action helps develop trust and prepares them for the type of call they scheduled.

Episode 8: The 8 Stages of Sales and What To Do In Each Stage
Sales is an act of education and service. If you don’t sell, those who need you will not receive the help that YOU provide. Christians need sales to share the word of God to each other and non-believers. Without disciples selling the goodness of the Lord, the church would not grow. Payment is validation that your time and expertise are valuable. It’s also a tool to keep your business and life running smoothly. You will need to master the 8 stages of sales to effectively sell your services and products, as well as make money.
- Prospecting: Prospecting is the phase of going out and collecting leads. During inbound sales, funnels and other methods automatically bring you qualified leads. In outbound sales, you go out and collect the leads using sources like Sales Navigator, social media groups, and more. The bottom line, you need to collect leads.
- Make Contact: You can have a metric ton of great leads and if you don’t contact them, you will go nowhere. It’s important to make contact and introduce yourself. Open the door to communication and build a relationship. People purchase from people and not robots. They will invest thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands with a person they trust. To earn trust, you need to communicate with them.
- Nurture Your Lead: Spend time offering your lead-free resources, listening deeply, acknowledging, and validating their pain. You need to feed and nurture their trust before they will buy. When you nurture your lead, you need to pre-qualify them to make sure they are a good fit. They usually happen during the conversation and when they schedule a discovery call.
- Present Your Offer: Share with them how you can help them overcome their problem and how much that investment will be.
- Overcome Objections: The initial reaction for many leads is to object to their transformation. To overcome their objections you’ll need to remind them of why they want the problem fixed and how bad the pain is. You may need to also offer them some options to deal with the hesitation, like a payment plan. The fear will sound like
- “I don’t have money.” or “I can’t afford it.”
- “I work a full-time job and have children, so I don’t have time.”
- “I’m not sure this is for me.”
- “I need to discuss this with someone else.” - Close Sale: Once you get consider enrolling your lead and make them a client, you’ll need to quickly capture payment. After you capture payment, you’ll also need to onboard the client smoothly and quickly.
- Deliver: Your job is not done. To gain future clients, you’ll need to deliver what you promised and at a high level.
- Ask For Referrals: Always ask for referrals. The best leads come from referrals from satisfied clients.
Expisode 7: How To Repurpose Content And Where To Find Ideas
Instead of spending endless hours creating content and getting lost in the confusion, follow the below steps to repurpose your content and find new ideas.
Repurpose Content
- Create a YouTube video.
- Download the audio from the YouTube video and use it for your podcast.
- Transcribe your video or audio and use it for your blog.
- Extract key information from your blog article and use it as social media posts.
- In future content development, talk more deeply about the key points you highlighted in your social posts.
Where To Content Ideas
- Take notes from your sales calls, current clients, and past clients.
- Take notes from target-rich groups you belong to.
- Discuss in more detail key points you've made in former content.
Episode 6: 3 Things You Need To Do Before You Create Content
It’s promoted too often that business owners need to create mountains of content at all hours of the day and night. But little to no promotion is being done in the preparing of creating that content. There are thousands of content creators crafting information that is not helping or attracting anyone. Why, because they have not completed the below three steps first. They just started writing.
It is better to have fewer pieces of quality content than a metric ton of fluff content that does nothing for no one.
Here are 3 things you must do before creating content.
1. Identify and understand your target audience. If you don’t know who you are talking to and what they want to talk about, you’ll find yourself talking to yourself by yourself.
- Who is your target audience? Better yet, who is your soul mate client? Know who your target audience is at their core will help you craft content that will feel personal and helpful. Your audience will be eager to develop a relationship with you. People buy from people they know, love, and trust. You can’t get that if you don’t know who the person is.
- What does your target audience need? People want to know that you can help them with a need or problem. They want to know that you understand the gravity and importance of their dilemma. You can’t do that if you don’t know what they need.
- What do they want? What you need and what you want are two separate things. You may need a need to brush your teeth first thing in the morning before you kiss your honey in the mouth. You may want to get the kiss first regardless. Understanding that the sweet spot between what they need and what they want is where the money is at.
- Where do you find them? Most people have 2-3 preferred social media and physical locations that they frequent. The idea that you should share content on all social media platforms and physical locations at all times is not effective. Meet your target audience where they are. If your tribe is on Facebook and not SnapChat, go to Facebook. If your audience never uses social media but can be found in networking events, go to networking events.
- What solutions are they willing to participate in? Just because you have a great idea to solve a problem, doesn’t mean your audience is willing to participate. Find out how your target audience wants to have their problem solved, then create content that informs them of such. Otherwise, you will make a product or service that no one wants.
2. What product or service do you have to help them solve their problem? Believe it or not, most people will watch you for months and even years before they commit to working with you. Informing them how your product and service can help them will strengthen the bond you share. When they are ready to make the financial commitment to work with you, they will choose you over other coaches, because they trust that you can help them.
You don’t have to have a fully developed product or service to offer. You just need a well-prepared framework and or prototype that can be used immediately. You’ll need to know how it will solve their problems and the steps they need to follow. You need to be prepared to service them when they make a commitment.
3. Know your subject matter. It is not uncommon for someone to show up on these unregulated coaching streets and pretend to be a subject matter expert. These imposters are killing the reputation of coaching and make it hard for those of us who are credentialed and experienced. As a result, leads are more cautious of hiring a coach. It is incumbent of you to know your stuff. You are doing your clients and yourself a disservice if you fake it. Trust me, famous fakers are being put out on front street because they out for the money and not for the client. Don’t be them.
Below are a few resources to help you along the way.
Episode 5: How To Offer Amazing Bonuses For Your Online Course
One of many questions that come up for new coaches and course creators is, "What bonuses should I offer?" It is customary to offer valuable bonus material to your clients. Generally, bonuses are services or items that require little to no additional time for you to fulfill. Many people use templates, workbooks, worksheets, and short videos. However, you may not have those additional items created, nor have the time to create them. So here are a few ways to utilize your network and offer amazing bonuses to your high-ticket clients.
- Preferred Vendors: Identify complementary services that your clients need, that you don't offer. For example, my clients will need websites, branding kits, and professional biographies when they start their business. I have friends who specialize in these areas. Because I price my services appropriately, I'm able to develop a preferred vendor relationship with my friends. As a result, I am able to offer my VIP clients (clients who pay in full) paid websites, branding kits, and biographies.
- White Label: Purchase information or products (templates, scripts, products, etc.) from businesses that offer white labeling. White labels are items that you purchase from other businesses, which allow you to add your brand label.
- Wholesale: Purchase supporting or complementary products at wholesale and provide them as bonus offerings.
- Expert Sessions: Invite experts to speak with your clients on topics that matter a great deal to your clients. This offers experts exposure to a new set of leads. It also offers your clients an opportunity to learn something new from an expert.
Below are a few resources to help you along the way.

Episode 4: The Moment That Changed My Business Forever
I didn’t always value my service. It took a client demonstrating how much they didn’t value my service for me to realize it.
I offered a client a ridiculously low rate. They said they couldn’t afford my regular rate and I wanted to be helpful. So I offered them a seriously discounted rate. I got a lot of business from them, however, when it was time to book a more expensive service they started to act funny. First, they didn’t want to discuss the fee at all. Then, they informed me that they were going to pay half the fee we originally agreed upon.
I called them and had a discussion with them. I lovingly shared my disappointment with their lack of respect and the lack of value they showed me. They apologized and said they would never make the mistake again.
After being upset and downright hurt, I had to realize that I did it to myself. See you teach people how to treat you. And I taught them to perceive my service as a discounted service. From that moment on, I made a decision to no longer undercut myself again.
If a client isn’t able to pay the rates I have, they can either sign up for a lesser option or can look for another ICF accredited coach and trainer.
My question to you is, what are you teaching your clients?
Have you sent the message that your service is a discount brand, not worthy of paying full price?
Have you failed to set and enforce boundaries?
Below are a few resources to help you along the way.
Business Launch Assessment: Take the Business Launch Assessment and gauge your readiness to service high-ticket clients and get paid.
Women Starting New Coaching Businesses Facebook Group: Group this new FB group and receive live videos, tips, tricks, methods, and more on how to strengthen your new coaching practice and make a good living.
Business Launch Prep School (BLPS): Business Launch Prep School (BLPS) Live is a faith-based 6-month small business start-up development course specifically for women who want to create purpose-driven service-based businesses.
Episode 3: Your Scarcity Mindset Is Costing You Money
Are you afraid that if you charge “too much” your target client will not be able to afford to work with you? This fear is grounded in the deep thought that you can’t afford to invest in yourself via a highly trained coach, like yourself.
Solution – Improve your money mindset. You must improve your money mindset. Holding onto a scarcity mindset will cost you more than a few coins in the bank; it will cost you your peace of mind. The moment you accept that you can ask God for what you want and listen for his direction to obtain it, your life will change. If you are afraid of investing in yourself, how will anyone feel comfortable investing in themselves through you? Spend time each day improving your money mindset so that you understand and are comfortable with the knowledge that those who have a problem powerful enough will find a way to pay for the solution. That includes you as well. If you are the person who can provide a solution, your client will find the money for you to solve their problem.
‘So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.’Matthew 6:31-34
https://my.bible.com/bible/111/MAT.6.31-34
Once you acknowledge and claim your worth, state your value with confidence, and improve your money mindset, pricing your services will become so much easier. You’ll be more confident during sales conversations and eager to actually find new clients to assist. Most importantly, you will not fear the money conversation with your clients. Instead of charging $100 for an hour of your time, you will happily create packages and programs that allow you to double if not triple your rates. Because your program is priced appropriately, your clients will happily pay. You will actually be within arms reach, if not hit, your six and seven-figure revenue goals.
If you need help with the problems and solutions I just went over, feel free to start with my free training “Creating A Signature Program That Sells” at LASTCo University.
