Season 2 Episode 3: Work It Out: Back to Basics
In today's episode, we have gone back to prehistoric times, when only worker placement games ruled the gaming scene. Ok, maybe not that far, but we have definitely gone back to simpler times when worker placement meant worker placement only. Back in our day, we didn't have these hybrid games that are all the rage blending worker placement with other genres. We discuss some of our favorites, will yours make the list?
The episode in-depth review covers the always enjoyable, Champions of Midgard from Grey Fox Games. Fittingly, this worker placement game has made an impression on us and the BGG gaming community ranked #101 overall. Find out more about it or revisit an old friend in today's episode.

Episode 17: Designer Series 1 - Eric Lang (part 1)
Welcome back for another exciting week!
This episode features a new format: the Designer Series, a spotlight on a designer that tackles chronologically most of their games. Our goal is to explore in depth their portfolio and accomplishments, focusing on the evolution of their designs through time.
First up is Eric Lang, until recently Big Boss Gungan of game development at CMON and acclaimed designer of... well... so many things... So many, indeed, that we had to split the episode in 2. This part covers his career and production from the year 2000 (I'm so glad I don't have to type a 19XX) through 2014, and around 20 games (some more popular than others).
Come back next week for the second part of this Lang-a-palooza, and every week after that for our regular banter, reviews, and discussion topics.
If you like the podcast, please consider subscribing or leaving us a review!
As usual, we love hearing from you via email (on Instagram, at boardgamegambit[at]gmail.com, on Facebook, or on Board Game Geek). Any comment or feedback is welcome. This week, the question is: did you like "early" Eric Lang works? Have you played any of his most obscure productions?

Episode 16: That Doesn't Really Affect Me

The games we discussed in today's episode include: Chrono Corsairs, Coloma, Village, Biblios Dice, Lorenzo (with the Houses of the Renaissance expansion), Similo, San Juan, Karuba, Oh My Goods!, Expedition to Newdale, Thunderstone Advanced, Welcome To..., Taverns of Tiefenthal, and Clipcut Park.
