Episode 28 of The Bread Crumb Trails Podcast brings Jana Pruden to the interview table. We chat with her about her experiences as a feature writer when she's on the road. We cover a broad variety of topics with her from dealing with being in unsavoury situations, emergency kits, to being ready to go at a moment's notice.

Jana Pruden is an award-winning feature writer at The Globe and Mail.

She is the former crime bureau chief of the Edmonton Journal, and previously worked at the Regina Leader-Post, the Medicine Hat News, the Prairie Post and the Interlake Spectator. She is also a sessional journalism instructor at MacEwan University and a presenter at Pandemic University Pop-Up School of Writing.

Amy and Tom are an international couple. Amy is from Canada, Tom is from the UK, and today they talk to us about some of the intricacies of being in a relationship cross border. This was actually the very first episode that we recorded all those months ago, so we're a little uncomfortable in front of the microphone. Amy and Tom have been ever so patient in waiting for this episode to come out, so a huge thank you goes out to them, and our humblest apologies for taking so long to put this out.

I am SO sorry about the late upload guys. Summer semester has started, and I'm already bogged down in schoolwork. This week, we're talking about Jesse's interview and discussing what we found interesting or things we didn't know.

Jesse is a photojournalist who recently graduated from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. He rediscovered his passion for photography through traveling and his desire to capture moments and stories. He formally ran a travel blog called Jesse Goes Places.
Jesse is an avid backpacker, having traveled to a number of countries in Asia, Europe, and New Zealand. He is a long time movie buff and comic book lover.

Gina, Dani and Carol sat down during our first ever live stream episode on Twitch  to talk about how we've been dealing with the Covid 19 outbreak, and share our thought son what is going on in the world right now, as well as how we thing things are going to be in the world coming up after this pandemic

Your hosts Gina, Dani, and Carol sit down to talk about things they learned from talking to Kira about budgeting when it comes to travel.

A very minor (hopefully tentative) change since the previous episodes. Carol has been considering postponing her trip to the Netherlands in April due to COVID-19.
Reasons for the consideration include:
-living with an immunocompromised roommate
-having an elderly close friend
-knowing self quarantine for 14 days would drive her insane
-most things in the Netherlands are closed.

Carol will hang onto her ticket until the beginning of April and reassess the situation as KLM has been very helpful in her expenditures.

PS. We do not know how this will affect recording at this time as the situation is always evolving. As of this moment, our recording schedule remains the same.

We continue our discussion from Jackey Kusey's episode before the holidays. We chat about food, about food as a language, and our individual experiences with food.
