This new podcast series, hosted by Disability Sports Australia CEO Murray Elbourn, will feature the most well known Para athletes who will not only share their story of sport but will discuss their disability in a broader sense.

The podcast aims to shine a light on their out of sport lives, with topics like employment, social life, relationships and mentoring. It’s a unique look at their own perception of the disability community and the challenges people face in acceptance.

Disability Sports Australia (DSA) is Australia’s peak national body representing athletes with disability.

Welcome to Breaking Disability the podcast, hosted by Disability Sports Australia CEO Murray Elbourn! 

This new podcast series will feature the most well known Para athletes who will not only share their story of sport but will discuss their disability in a more broader sense. 

The podcast aims to shine a light on their out of sport lives, with topics like employment, social life, relationships and mentoring. It’s a unique look at their own perception of the disability community and the challenges people face in acceptance.

The podcast kicks off with release on August 20th. The first guest will be Paralympic Champion, now turned coach Louise Sauvage. Sauvage has been a real trailblazer for Para sport in Australia and currently works for the NSW Institute of Sport.
