13 - TIKTOK BANS MLM CONTENT & MY MLM HORROR STORY

Tiktok recently released a statement that the app will be banning any and all MLM content as it goes against their guidelines and potentially pushing scams, fraud, and pyramid schemes making them very Anti MLM. In this episode we chat about this decision and why it is so profound. After discussing the new Anti MLM TikTok update, Bria shares very personal experiences with MLM companies and what it has been like constantly being targeted to work for companies like Amway, Arbonne, Monat, etc as an Influencer. Bria shares a specific story that has never been told that left her feeling manipulated, and embarrassed.

This episode is not focused on debating if MLM's are pyramid schemes, but instead is focusing on a very specific experience in hopes to offer up a conversation on why people are passionate about being Anti MLM and why companies like TikTok are enforcing regulations.

 Olivia Jade & the Red Table Talk Interview  (w/ Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield-Norris)

Olivia Jade Giannulli is a YouTuber, and the daughter of actress Lori Loughlin (Aunt Becky from Full House) and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli.  Giannulli began a social media career on YouTube and Instagram; as of 2019, both accounts have amassed more than one million followers until her world flipped upside down after it was revealed to the public that her parents were involved in the biggest college admissions scandal at USC. 

After a hiatus, Giannulli reached out to Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield-Norris in hopes that she could share her story with this scandal on the Facebook Watch show, Red Table Talk. With much hesitation, they did the interview and the public was very divided on the decision to have Olivia Jade on. Should they have passed on Olivia and left it up to shows like, The View?

In this episode, Bria Jones will dissect the differing opinions and perspectives on if this Red Table Talk episode was problematic and analyze the role of white, rich, privilege in dividing viewers.

After a 2 week hiatus, I'm recovered and ready to do life again after contracting COVID-19 (Coronavirus). I am and will always be a huge mask advocate   and a CDC stan. 5- COMPARISON "Their success is not stopping yours." 

Comparison is a thief of creativity and joy, but if you have ever gotten stuck comparing yourself to others, you certainly aren't alone. In this episode, I discuss where my followers tend to compare themselves the most in life. We chat about what makes us compare ourselves to other people in terms of money, relationships, body image, and job or career. I debunk why this thought pattern is toxic and provide action items on how to reroute your thoughts before you fall victim to the comparison game. I even share some personal stories on where I compared myself so much that I lost my identity and had to completely rebuild after a traumatizing break up. Comparison is only stopping you from unlocking your full potential and most confident self, but with inner work you can elevate your self esteem and get out of the comparison cycle.

The Social Dilemma was just released on Netflix and today I'm covering how this documentary quite literally changed my life and my perspective on social media usage. I discuss how it could be fair for apps like Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Google, Pinterest, Snapchat and more, may need to be held accountable for the potential long term damages of social media. I share my personal experience with social media and how I feel this is a normalized addiction that is only becoming more addicting and the how we should pay attention to correlations with increased screen time and anxiety and depression.
