Ep 15 - Cheri Hammons Part 2 - Herbs and herbal lore for sleep and dreams, dream journaling, predictive dreams, and using dreams for business.

Cheri Hammons is the owner of High Street Tonics, herb nerd, and lover of sleep and dreams.

  • Chamomile
  • Passionflower
  • Valerian
  • Skullcap
  • Lemon Balm
  • Lavender
  • Hops
  • Catnip

Sleep Tincture Recipe:

--In a pint jar, combine 10 grams of each: dried skullcap, passionflower, hops, and valerian.  --Cover with alcohol, at least 80 proof (40%)  --Let sit out of direct sunlight for 4-6 weeks giving the jar a good shake every couple of days.  --Use cheesecloth to strain the herbs out when done and bottle the liquid into amber (or other UV protected) dropper bottles.

Dosage: Take 1 dropperful an hour before bed or upon waking in the night. Can use up to 2 dropperfuls at a time but start small while you get to know how your body responds.  Notes: Britt has been using this sleep tincture since the time of the recording. She has found it especially useful to help get back to sleep after awakening in the middle of the night or even up to a couple of hours before waking. Bonus - no morning grogginess!  Results of mugwort experience: Britt took mugwort in tea form before bedtime. It in fact did increase the vividness of her dreams that night but also triggered the first and worst nightmare she'd had in years, so the anecdotal experience has thus far been a one-off. Perhaps she should take Cheri's advice and use it in a dream pillow instead of in a tea.

Ep 5 - Anah Reichenbach on Intentional Dreaming, Epiphanies, Sleep Paralysis, and Mystical Animal Experiences

Ep 5 - Anah Reichenbach on Intentional Dreaming, Epiphanies, Sleep Paralysis, and Mystical Animal Experiences

In this episode, world renowned hoop dancer Anah Reichenbach discusses her rich and vivid dream life - from the blurred lines between sleeping and waking, using dreams to escape from and heal trauma & bedwetting, to sleep paralysis, epiphanies, dream journaling & recall, mystical animal experiences, and more.

Driven by a troubled childhood, from an early age Anah asked the big questions. “Who am I and what is life FOR??" This led to many mystical experiences, including lucid dreaming from the age of 6, sleep paralysis in her 20’s and bizarre close encounters with wildlife. Desperate to heal she re-discovered her natural joy in the unlikely form of a hula hoop at a music festival. This chance encounter would lead to 20 years of performing and teaching her own creative form of hula hooping, the modern art of hoop dance, sparking a worldwide resurgence in hula hooping for dance, art, fun and healing. Anah lives to bring light to the deepest experiences in life and loves to share her insights, humor, experiences and healing process with others, through her blog, speaking, and workshops.
