Our God is holy. Do we understand what that means? The natural reaction of man in the presence of the Holy God is to run away! In our sin, apart from atonement and repentance, we cannot live with this holy God! However, WE NEED GOD! How do we approach this Holy God?

Who sits on the throne of your heart? We can often try to use God to accomplish our will rather than surrendering to God and his will. Here, in the story of Israel's defeat before their enemies, we discover that God is the holy King who reigns over all the nations.

Have you ever wanted to hear the voice of God? Today we look at the story of the little boy Samuel, who learned to hear the voice of God. We discover that God is still speaking to his people today, and we can learn how to hear from Him.

Ancient Israel is in need of godly leadership - and the Lord answers that need through the prayers of a barren woman. We discover through Hannah's story that in the midst of our affliction we may seek the Lord. As we seek Him, we find him, and we find reason to leap for joy in Christ!

God does not put his people to shame in evil times. Even though they may have little, their inheritance does not fade away. In famine, they have abundance.

How can we handle our frustrations in the midst of evil times and bad people? How do we maintain stability in unstable times?

Here we look at David's partial lament. Beginning with reflections and praise to God, David prophecies of Christ, and then cries out in his own trials. How can we trust God in our poverty and need?

On Easter, Resurrection Sunday, we hear our Resurrected Lord tell us to follow Him.

How do we deal with our pain? In a world full of sin, pain and death, we must learn to turn to God with our pain, offer our complaint, ask of him, and trust Him.

What does love really look like? We find the prime example of love in the great Creator and King who humbly laid aside his robes to take the role of a lowly servant to wash his disciples feet. 

What does it mean to really live? To have true and everlasting life? When death comes and we feel its sting, how can we find hope in the face of death? 

Who can we truly depend on for our care, security, and guidance? There is one - the Good Shepherd.
