International Student Ambassador, Arshdeep connects with Radhika Pabreja, a first-year student in Neuroscience Co-op from Gurugram, India. With her first year coming to an end, Radhika shares her journey of exploring Brock and the Niagara region. She has a passion for psychology and the environment with the goal to pursue Environmental Neuroscience, a fairly new field of study with the help of her current program. Raising the standards in inclusivity with Brock University
Marwa Mohammed Iqbal, an incoming graduate student in Applied Disability Studies from Kerala, India is committed to bringing inclusivity among disabled individuals. She spent eight years of being in the field of special education as a speech-language pathologist to then become co-founder of IMUSTA, an Arts and Sports program centre for those with disabilities in 2019. To further enhance her skills and expertise in Disability Studies, Marwa plans to use her Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) specialization from Brock to educate and support disabled individuals and their families. Mayank Masand, an incoming MBA ISP student from India, put diversity and inclusion at the forefront of his decision when choosing which university to attend after his 11+ year-long hiatus as a student. Mayank spent nearly 12 years expanding his professional skill set and network through his career experiences as a technology management professional. To build upon his computer science engineering background, Mayank plans to utilize the beginning of his MBA studies at Brock University as a reboot time dedicated to learning and growing. Dhawani Parekh, a third-year Public Health student from Kenya, values the multiculturalism at Brock University. Despite her introverted nature, Dhawani discovered a diverse community of students, staff and faculty, where she had endless opportunities to push her personal boundaries. Arshia Joghataei, a first-year Tourism and Environment student from Tehran, Iran, turned a lifelong passion for travelling into a future career. He chose to study at Brock, located in Niagara, which is the only University in Canada located in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. It's also home to world-class tourist attractions, which means that students, like Arshia, benefit from unique learning opportunities all around them.
