Episode 9 of the Bubba Show where we continue the series on invasive species.  We are privileged and honored to sit down with world famous Snakeaholic himself Mr. Kevin Pavledis.  Kevin resides in south Florida and has a hit YouTube channel @Snakeaholic documenting his quest to hunt down the invasive Burmese python that has become such a major issue in South Florida and the precious Everglades National Park.  We have covered the northern snakehead in recent episodes with varying opinions and scientific views of the potential impacts.  However let the record show in episode 9 we define pretty quickly that there is little to no debate on the destructive characteristics the Burmese python has inflicted on the south Florida region.

Along with having first hand knowledge being a professional Burmese python hunter Kevin is a true scientist in the field of herpetology.  In addition to being a scientist in the field Kevin wrestles alligators for local tourists in the everglades area.  Consistent with the invasive species topic we also cover invasive wild hogs and get Kevin's expert input on how that management is going.

Episode 8 of the Bubba Show where we caught up with the recent 2022 High Octane Custom Baits Snakehead Tournament Winners Chris Digges and Jack Hare.  Continuing on the hot topic of snakehead fishing we get to talk to some experts in the sport of snakehead fishing.  Jack and Chris talk about their wealth of experience hunting snakeheads and touch on the pressures of tournament fishing.  Former champion archers turned snakehead enthusiasts make for a great discussion on the highly debated topic of invasive species.

Jack and Chris talk about their opposing fishing styles and how it certainly complements them in tournament outings.  They also discuss their tackle setups, costs to get into snakehead fishing and their go to lures as they describe the tourney day where they took 1st place in the HOCB June, 6, 2022 Snakehead Tournament.

Episode 7 of the Bubba Show where we follow up the Snakehead Controversy Episode with a great discussion with the most well known angler in the entire state of Maryland and likely the entire Chesapeake Bay Watershed Mr. Eric Packard.  Eric has recently been appointed  by Governor Larry Hogan to be on the Sports Fisheries Advisory Commission in the state of Maryland.  Eric has documented fishing over 240 days a year and over 40 species of fish during his record year; in fact he is up to 18 species just this year so far.  Eric talks about the issues facing the Chesapeake Bay waters and impacts to the overall watershed. Impacts to the striper fishery or as local flatlander's in Maryland call em "rock fish".  Of course we talk about the Snakehead but more so we discuss the invasive blue catfish and how that could be a bigger issue on the invasive list currently.  

Bubba DOES Care about the topics in this episode as we all want to take care of the striper scene and be good stewards of God's Awesome creation in the water ways up and down the entire east coast of the US.  Bubba DOES Care about keeping commercial fisherman accountable as we talk about a Canadian company potentially decimating the menhaden for their fish oil business; the menhaden are a major source of bait fish for fish in the bay waters.
