#94 COVID-19 Winners: Creative INNOVATORS w/ Dr. Karen Bartuch and Comedian Vik Pandya
Former CPD undercover prostitute.
Humor-in-the-business-world researcher.
Depaul Prof teaching creativity, innovation & design thinking.
Yes, such a person exists in this world. Say wassup to Dr. Karen Bartuch.
Me & funny-a$$ comedian Vik Pandya had a blast getting to know Dr. B.
I think she nailed it on this episode: the most important biz skill for the next few years is NOT gonna be team skills or organizational skills. Nah. Dr. B thinks it's going to be creativity & innovation skills. COVID-19 is shakin up the global economy for real. Those that are most creative in adapting and innovating will take the cake.
But we couldn't ignore the fact that years before, Dr. B rose through the ranks in the Chicago Police Department, ultimately working directly with the CPD superintendent as policy advisor. On her journey upwards, she saw A TON. Don't judge me for lingering on her stories as an undercover prostitute. Just tune in and listen to her amazing stories yourself!
Now she's killin it as a professor, strategist, marketer, podcaster and all-out leader. Follow her/learn more at @iamdavidajane and https://www.iamdavidajane.com/episodes-1.
Make sure to also check out my main dude Vik Pandya (@vpcomedy and http://www.teamuscomedy.com/vik). This brother is killin it in the stand up scene - last year, his comedy album 'Friends With 401(k) Benefits' debuted #1 on iTunes & Top 10 on the Billboard Charts!
Sit back and relax while you Listen, Learn, Laugh

#93 “Agreements, Disagreements, and Shared Wisdom” w/Howard Weitzman - Chicago Real Estate Investor
What happens when a right-wing Jewish Trump supporter and a left-leaning Palestinian Bernie fan get into the same restaurant back stockroom? Fireworks, baby! Episode 93 of Business News and Other Sh!t. What's up, y'all? We had Howard Weitzman. This dude is a big-time real estate dude here in Chicago. Yeah, we talked a lot of good businesses.
By the end of it, this dude walked us through one of his largest and wildest deals. He did a 320-unit building. It was an old freezer building that he converted into lofts, and he had to go through a whole lot of hoops, especially with the government, to make that happen.
But before we got to that, this dude was talking some crazy-ass shit. What was he saying? I brought up the whole Tree of Life Pittsburgh synagogue shooting. I was like, "Yo, how can you support Trump, dude?" And he was blaming the synagogue and saying they should have had security. I'm like, "Dude, you're crazy, man." We didn't disagree on everything though. A lot of Palestine/Israel stuff we disagree on, of course, but we did agree on work ethic and how his dad raised him and how my dad raised me. We did agree on how politics is full of a bunch of bullsh!t. And we did agree on real estate and how to make smart moves.
Ready for some fireworks? You're gonna enjoy this one. Then sit back, relax, and enjoy the episode y'all. Peace!

#92 CURING Major Depression + Anxiety Issues with ONE Ketamine Session w/ Bal Nandra, Owner of Chicago IV Solution
Guy’s we have Dr. Bal Nandra (https://www.ketamineChicago.com) on the episode today. We also had Lancey Joe (https://www.instagram.com/lanceyjoe/), Comedian. Check him out at Chicago Joe’s, Thursdays and Fridays, 8 PM.
This Dr. Bal is a serial entrepreneur. He’s also an anesthesiologist. So this guy is always runnin’ some kind of business. Right now, he’s a ketamine pro, running a ketamine shop out of River North. Supposedly--this is what he said, it’s hard to believe, but I think it’s true--with just one ketamine session, a person can be lifted out of their depression / anxiety. And this is for people who have really debilitating depression and anxiety. So it’s powerful stuff.
Dr. Bal talked about his first entrepreneurial adventure, which was owning a company called “Haute Auto” in River North, where they would deck out Pimp-My-Ride kinda stuff. IT FAILED miserably. And he talks about that and what he learned and how much he lost. He talked about MJ (Michael Jordan) comin’ in there and becoming friends with him and never buying anything. Bal talked about nurturing relationships and how important that is. He’s saying even twenty or thirty years later, some of these relationships are coming back FULL CIRCLE. He also talked about other controlled substances like psilocybin a.k.a. Magic Mushrooms, that are being investigated as possible ways to help people heal from depression and other mental issues. You’re about to learn a lot about psychedelics from a pro.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the episode.

#91 Know Your Value, Trust Your Worth w/ James Sheehan, Real Estate Mogul
Wazzup, wazzup listeners, episode 91, BNOS. We march towards 100 episodes. We had a top real-estate salesman, name’s James Sheehan (https://www.linkedin.com/in/jsheehanrealestate/). Good old Irish boy. This dude’s done 80 million dollars since he started in real estate, which was only seven years ago. So the dude is hittin’ it. Former grain trader, economics pro, so kind of a different real estate sales guy, he knows his sh!t.
This dude’s advice to us is: "if you’re gonna buy, wait until right before the election." Because he thinks real estate markets are gonna take a little bit of a dip around that time. Everyone gettin’ afraid and skittish ahead of time. So he goes into detail around that, listen in to make sure you understand why he’s making that prediction.
This dude’s also a Certified Negotiation Expert, C-N-E. That’s right, if you get into a hostage situation, call James Sheehan, your Irish negotiation expert. This dude is a pro, he gave us a whole bunch of tips when it comes to negotiating whether it's in a real estate deal, or any other kind of deal. So sit back, relax, enjoy the episode, and learn about real estate with James.

#90 Smiling Through The Most Difficult Times Of Your Life w/Diarmuid Horan - Nutritional, Exercise, and Lifestyle Coach
We had Diarmuid Horan (https://www.lifelonglifestyles.com/) on today. This dude is an Irish gangster. Not literally, but he is a professional hurler. It’s a sport in Ireland that’s a cross between field hockey and lacrosse. He’s a diet and lifestyle professional. So the guy knows his stuff. One of the calmest -- no, THE calmest guy we’ve ever had on. And also has amazing eye contact. And he still owns a coffee roaster called Sputnik Coffee. So he goes into the entrepreneurial story of how they literally went to Ohio, bought a coffee roaster, brought it over, and so on. But then he was starting to burn out, so he went back to the diet and lifestyle world, and his whole thing now is mentoring other people and coaching them on not burning out. Being able to manage stress and take on more and more pressure in life and thrive at it. Imagine the most difficult time in your life, but you’re still smiling. This dude’s a coach at that. It’s amazing.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy Diarmuid. Peace!

#89 Follow Your Excitement, NOT Your Passion w/Quinton James co-founder of True Mentors
What’s up y’all? Episode number eighty-nine. We doin’ it baby: Business News, Other Shit. Thank you all for listening in. We had a couple guys on today besides our bad boy John Dolder, we had Quinton James, and Dan Baker, comedian and fellow improv teammate.
Quinton James (https://www.truementors.com/), this dude grew up in the wild, wild hundreds. And if you’re not from Chicago, let me tell you about the wild, wild hundreds. They are pretty wild. So this dude is kind of a wonderful story of coming up from a difficult background from where he grew up and now runs his own organization called True Mentors. This dude believes and explains how your network is your net worth. For real. He sets up mentors with mentees. Quinton James dropped some serious bombs on us. He distinguished between stress vs. pressure. It was super interesting and how stress is really driven by a negative mindset, while pressure’s actually a good thing, and you can use a positive mindset to really benefit from pressure. That was cool, make sure you tune in and listen to that.
And don’t forget, we tape from the stockroom of Cedars (http://www.eatcedars.com/), the restaurant I own. Come check us out y’all! Valentine’s Day’s coming up. Thursday, Friday we’re gonna have our new menu. You gotta check us out on Valentine’s Day. And then the all star weekend for hoops, we have the all star game in Chicago coming up next week. We’re gonna do a Kobe day here on Saturday and Sunday, Kobe Bryant and Gigi Bryant, may God rest their souls. Free dessert for your table. Roll through, wear your Kobe jersey or Kobe gear, and you get free dessert for your table.
Sit back, relax, tune in and enjoy the episode. Peace!

#88: 1 Woman. 1 Computer. 1 Real Estate HUSTLER!!! Meet Danielle Pierce.
We had Danielle Pierce on this episode. She is a real estate wealth strategist. Check her out: http://daniellepierce.com/. We taped again from my new restaurant, Cedar's. Come on by -- we’ve got some cool stuff, like Middle Eastern fried chicken and Middle Eastern fish and chips. You're going to love it. Say "What's up!" if you see me as well! Danielle Pierce -- she's cool. You don't need to be a real estate broker to make money in real estate. There are other ways, and she broke down for us how to make money by becoming a repair and maintenance person for foreclosed properties. She basically works from her computer, anywhere she wants to, by hiring contractors to go fix houses for banks that have foreclosed on houses. She also talked about making money through tax liens, and how she basically will buy properties on the cheap for $1,000 or $2,000, and then later on, sell them for double or triple, if not even more. The hardest part about all of this? Dealing with contractors. She's figured out some tricks and secrets after doing this for almost 10 years. She was super cool and super smart. She's based out of Texas now, but she is a coach for wealth strategy when it comes to real estate. She's going to walk you step-by-step through an eight-week course she runs so you can make money by managing contractors for repair maintenance on foreclosed houses. And she can coach you on being a tax lien investor, where you can simply use $1,000-$3,000 to buy a property that has been delinquent on its taxes and the government now owns. And man, she has some crazy stories about contractors and tax liens! You're going to learn a ton about how she does this and how you can do it too! So sit back, relax, and enjoy the episode. #87 Space to Develop w/Billy McMillan - Ex-NASA Employee and ICF Certified Coach
What’s up Episode 87, Business News and Other Sh!t, how y’all doing? We taped from Cedar’s again, the restaurant that I own. We have launched a new menu by the way with a kickass chef, delicious food, awesome reviews, please roll through, if you see me please grab me, say what’s up. Today we have a really cool dude named Billy McMillan. This dude worked at NASA for 10 long years. We also had Chris Brodhead, our producer on the podcast who we haven’t had on in a while, him and Billy were friends when they worked at NASA together. Man what an interesting dude. During his time at NASA Billy helped create innovative leadership development programs for the agency and after several years of that he moved over to Accenture where he continues to create leadership programs and coach. We got into some really cool detailed questions about NASA as well: Are they a waste, are they dumb, are they cool, what kind of curiosity NASA satisfies and is NASA worth it? Sit back, relax and enjoy the episode. Peace.

#86 Part 2 of 'Contentment is Wealth' w/Cory Shepherd - President of Sound Financial Group
This is part 2 of our interview with Cory Shepherd, the president of Sound Financial Group (www.sfgway.com), and he runs a podcast called “Your business, Your wealth” (www.yourbusinessyourwealth.com).
What's up y'all? Umbrella insurance helping you make money. Disability Insurance helping you make money cultivating contentment. What is this wacky dude Cory talking about? Um, it was different. It was a different financial advisory conversation that I'm used to having. I'm used to talking about stocks, bonds, where to invest, how much to invest what age you should start investing?
No, the dude is like, yo, none of that stuff matters as much as you being happy and using money to build your contentment. And me and John admitted, we struggled with contentment.
So Cory broke it down for us and explained how his approach at Sound Financial Group is different than your average broker at Morgan Stanley. How they actually charge a design fee to help you design your financial life as opposed to taking 1% of commissions each year.
He is a very cool and smart guy. He really gets in depth on financial advising in this episode.
Anyway sit back, relax. Enjoy peace, y'all.

#85 Contentment is Wealth w/Cory Shepherd - President of Sound Financial Group
What's up BNOS listeners! This is episode 85 the first one of 2020! That's right we just finished a decade with a stock market bull market for 10 straight years. Wow, hope y'all made some cash.
Our guest today was Cory Shepherd, the president of Sound Financial Group (www.sfgway.com), and he runs a podcast called “Your business, Your wealth” (www.yourbusinessyourwealth.com).
He is a very cool and smart guy. He really gets in depth on financial advising and you can catch our deeper conversation in Episode 86. Which comes out later in the week.
But what we talked about besides that longest bull market was Carlos Golson. This is the dude that ran Nissan Mitsubishi. One of the biggest car companies in the world and then he gets arrested in Japan. Then this week the dude fled Japan somehow, some way without passports, the dude escaped the country. It's like some crazy TV shit.
Then we get into this attack that Donald Trump approved. Basically, they killed a top General. I had previously talked about oil prices going up and they have been going up the last three months since I mentioned that. But I think oil prices are done.
Anyway sit back, relax. Enjoy peace, y'all.

Our guest was Brian Reed the comedian. I love this dude. On the show he agreed to do this experiment where he goes up to as many women as he has to until one of them agrees to go out on a date with him. And he promised to come back in the new year and report to us what his results were.
We also talked about Facebook. Are they a monopoly? What's a monopoly? How do you think about a monopoly? You know, these guys run the majority of social media in the world so yes they are a monopoly.
We talked about China, we talked about Brexit, the world becoming less and less economically integrated. That's nothing to sneeze at y'all. It has big consequences. Short term it may be positive for the United States stock market. Long term, very negative for all stock markets, especially the United States. We need other countries in order for us to grow. #83 😅 Wanna Get Better? Get *UNCOMFORTABLE* with Mansoor Kazi, Partner at Bain
Wassup BNOS listeners! Here's to another kicka$$ decade in 2020!
Yo, wanna grab good grub before your New Years celebration? Come hit our New Year's Eve party at Cedars! Catch our new Chef Amado Lopez throwin' down a dope culinary experience through a one-time-only 4 course prix fixe menu baby! Seats limited, book here using Opentable!
Btw, this is our last episode before the new year. THANK YOU ALL for supporting the sh!t out of me and the podcast! We'll catch y'all in January!
This week's guest is Mansoor Kazi. The dude's a gangster when it comes to education & corporate pedigree. But here's the really cool thing: this brother also grew up in a small business *dry cleaner* in none other than Augusta, Georgia. Dats right, dry cleaning for rich golfers, you gotta hear his stories about Sergio & Tiger (ehem, he also shares some great stories about consulting lol).
As a Partner at Bain & Company, Mansoor's focus is on retail, customer strategy, and implementing growth/turnaround strategies. And get this, Mansoor also advises private equity guys on potential acquisitions for various funds across multiple industries, including Consumer Products, Healthcare, Industrials, and Chemicals.
And, MOST IMPORTANTLY, we then got into "A-B-C" -- always be closing, baby. Best example we had? One of my boys who kept asking women on the street for a date until one of them said Yes. Guess how many he had to ask? CLICK TO LISTEN.....
Sit back, relax and enjoy Episode 83!

#82 How to Read Stocks and Influence People w/JJ Wenrich 20-year Investment Veteran & Comedian Lancey Joe
J. J. Wenrich is a Certified Financial Planner and 20-year veteran of the investment world. He developed his fascination in the stock market as a child, watching business reports on PBS, one of the few stations available in his small-town Kansas home. During the freezing winters and blazing summers, he was inside learning about what he calls “the amazing world of stocks.” Despite his small-town upbringing, J.J. had progressive teachers along the way who included personal finance and stock-picking games in their curriculum.
Later, his education continued at The University of Kansas, reigniting his love of the market. So much so that, while his buddies headed off to Mexico for spring break, he stayed on campus and spent all-nighters watching CNBC, geeking-out on stock charts and spreadsheets as he followed equity markets around the world.
Since then, J.J. has built a 20-year career in financial planning and investments, working with some of the best investment professionals and financial advisors in the U.S.
Along the way, he met his wife Jodie—also a financial professional—and together they built a family “portfolio” including Jodie’s son and another three children born within 30 months. It’s that family unit that is the basis of J.J.’s lessons on educating kids about healthy financial habits and Teaching Kids to Buy Stocks.

#80: Disrupt Yourself or DIE with Kison Patel, CEO of DealRoom
No one but Kison Patel would think, hey maybe I should buy this methadone clinic for $1.5 million. And in three months, Toronto sells it for 3.5 million. This dude almost had that deal in the bag, and then the financial crisis hit. And that's when he really got going. He moved on his way to M&A software, domain name marketing, etc. But he goes into talking about product validation and product distribution. And what he's been learning is, don't just create your harebrained idea and think everyone's going to love it. No work backwards, reverse engineering, get the people on the phone, talk to them, find out what really bugs them, what could really solve their problem? We go into detail around all of that, above and beyond all the M&A stuff. So sit back, relax and enjoy learning a whole lot about M&A.

#79: Heaven Lies Beneath the Feet of Mothers
What up BNOS peeps,
When all else fails, find heaven under your mother's feet. Our guest Kison Patel hit rock bottom and did just that with his mom - which then propelled him into the world of Subway sandwich franchises, then business brokerage, and finally becoming and M&A pro.
Kison slapped us with a bad ass line: "Disrupt yourself or die." Though I personally practice that, I'm not gonna lie: sometimes I rather DIE! This dude Kison disrupts himself errryday - he now runs his own software company that makes M&A deals way more efficient (Founder and CEO of DealRoom & host of the podcast "M&A Science")
Kison & I exchanged brown kids war stories - he grew up running motels, I grew up fighting white power crazies at my uncle's gas station. Welcome to America! In the end, we both came out waaay stronger for it. Bottom line: owner's mentality is priceless.
We finally broke down M&A - mergers & acquisitions - wtf are they REALLY? Why's xerox buying HP? Why'd Facebook buy IG? Amazon & Zappos?? Kison's looked at all these with intense detail. Tune in to laugh & learn y'all!
Peace.
- Amer

#75: The Sh!t Show - WeWork, Boeing & FB Woes Run Deep w/ Retired Air Force Colonel, Carla Bass
We had a retired Air Force Colonel, Carla Bass (www.writetoinfluence.net).
This ep is all about how to write more powerfully! How that helps you to make more cheddar (money).
We do a deep dive into her “Money-Making Methods” in the second episode so make sure to tune in on Wednesday for that.
This is the shit show episode. WeWork, Boeing, and Facebook. Specifically Boeing, I can't believe how much these guys have withheld.
Carla shows us how that's not the right move withholding all that information. We get into some of that and how their stock has been plummeting.
Then we get into WeWork. The real issue here is SoftBank as they are the one that's really screwed. Those guys have a $100 billion vision fund that is totally at risk here with Uber Slack and WeWork shit in the bed.
And finally, Facebook. Facebook's trying to do to the banking industry what they did to the newspaper industry up with their Libra cryptocurrency. They trying to take over banks and credit card so that everyone can kind of just use cryptocurrency on their website to do their business.
Thank you for listening, enjoy the ep!
Peace.

#74: Owner's Mentality = Roll Up Sleeves. Clean Toilet. Wipe Sh!t Water Off Your Face
Episode 74.
Yo, Masroor Ahmed. This dude is a finance lover. This guy really is comfortable with money and making big decisions around money. He showed us that he's willing to roll up his sleeves and clean some toilets and wash some dishes. That's right.
Dude is VP of finance at Factor 75. A company that makes food- organic, grass fed type of food- and then delivers it already cooked and chilled to your door. He's basically CFO for that company.
We asked him, "yo, how do you make that chedda?" and he says it's all about work ethic in his opinion/experience.
Noshod broke down some crazy stories from his time at military school and as a cross country runner- some depressing sh!t, but it was actually great because he ended up winning in the end.
And, finally, Masroor, walks us through what it means to really have an owner's mentality. And how does that relate to the saying, "own your sh!t"? Yeah, Masroor told us some personal stories around that- really powerful.
We finished off talking about something unexpected- the Chicago Public School situation- and some ideas we have to make things better (if CPS would ever listen to us, but why would they? No idea.) There's so much knowledge already out there with Khan Academy and other similar sites that maybe there's some wacky or otherwise outside-the-box solutions for CPS's problems.
So anyway, sit back, relax. Enjoy the episode. Thanks for tuning in, ya'll.
Peace.

#71: China Just *Latrell Sprewell-ed* the NBA
Q: What do you get when China & the NBA go toe-to-toe?
A: Yao Ming
The Chinese LOVE basketball.
The Chinese ADORE the NBA.
The Chinese government HATES an outspoken NBA.
It feels like a $4 billion NBA business in China was flushed down the toilet overnight with one tweet: "Fight for Freedom, Stand with Hong Kong"
Is this bigger than the NBA?
Yup.
Do American companies have a spine when it comes to China?
Nope.
Is this really all Daryl Morey's fault?
Daryl WHO?
Episode #71, y'all. After breakin down the NBA and China, we gets to talkin to John Kennedy.
Don't worry, his middle initial ain't "F."
This dude is a brain coach. He runs a company called Combat Brain Training.
He's a former corporate guy that developed a brain-training system for Marine Special Ops on how to sniff out an IED device (booby traps) in Afghanistan. Basically, it boils down to mental agility: can a Marine take in TONS of info in the moment and make a critical decision to save his/her own life?
Spoiler alert: the Marine CAN. John taught them how. And now he's teaching athletes, business folks, and investors how to do the same thing. I did a demo of this technique - WHOA! It worked! Make sure you catch the full run-down of his interview in part 2 (released Thursday).
Peace,
Amer.

Economy took some hits last week yo - manufacturing data is starting to flash red, even professional services data startin to shit its bed. Guess what the Fed wants to do? Yup, lower interest rates more. We just be bouncing on this bubble instead of tryna slowly let the air out. Come on, Fed, have some ballz and let some air out the economy bubble.

#65: Iran Pokin' the Sh!t Out the Bear
Let's see:
Trump pulls out of Iran nuclear accord and applies FOOT-TO-THROAT sanctions on their economy. THEN:
(1) Iran blows up an oil tanker in May
(2) Iran blows up a second oil tanker in June
(3) Iran shoots down an American drone in June
(4) Iran blows up half of Aramco facilities in September
As long as we ain't attacking them, Iran's gone keep pokin' the bear. Put on your oil seat belts, prices 'bout to go up some more, $75/barrel, maybe $100!? Click listen to her us discuss it all.

#57: Jeff Tack's Journey from Billion Dollar Portfolio Manager to Serial Real Estate Entrepreneur
What's up? What's up?
Episode 57.
We're interviewing Jeff Tack of Woodward Real Estate Partners. This dude is a fixed income pro. There aren't many people like this dude in Chicago. This guy knows the markets really, really well.
He worked at ABN AMRO in the South Bank for over a decade. He managed a $20+ billion portfolio there. Then at Credit Agricole, where he also had a huge portfolio. At Crestline, he had over $10 billion. He was managing huge amounts of money!
We learn how he thinks about making those transactions: How to manage that money? How to make money in a big way?
But now the dude has left that world. He's now an entrepreneur doing his own real estate thing. This dude was buying up cribs in the recession. He bought a lot of them. All of them in Michigan. His first one, he paid 16 grand. As he calls it, “half a Camry.” And then just kept waving at them after that.
And now we figure out what's he doing with it. And how can we be doing stuff like that. Maybe the Great Recession's gone, but he still has some great advice on how to make money in real estate.

#55: How Do You Get An NFL Linebacker to Team Up On A $200mm Fund? with Activated Capital
We had Josh Burrell and Lane Campbell on with us. Wow, these dudes have a great story!
They run a fund called Activated Capital out of NYC. These dudes are not just about the bottom line of profits. They look at a double bottom line. So it's not just profits, but also values and impact. They are not just making money BUT also having an impact? I hadn't heard much about that before. So it was great to hear these dudes talk about their story.
Their focus is real estate. So they're trying to get the right tenants into some real estate that they buy and they become landlords. Their story got so much PR that Derrick Morgan, former outside linebacker of the Tennessee Titans, joined up with them. They're doing a joint venture - $200 million fund - called Kingdom Activated.
And we break down: What do these guys do? How do they do it? How do they keep track and measure that they're actually having an impact and not just making money? How do they ensure that all their nonprofit partners will make their investments provide a competitive return? Not just in capital (money), but will also have a positive social impact.
So sit back, relax and enjoy this episode. Learn a lot about social investing and being smart about where you put your money.
Peace!

#54: Markets Scared Sh!tless About A Recession. What Should You Be Doing?
Dow tanked 800 points last Wednesday
Hong Kong stocks down -10% since violence began last month
St. James pumped gas for an uber drive in exchange for a blunt
WTF's going on in the world!? And WTF should you be doing?
As for St. James, go check out his upcoming stand up show at the Laugh Factory (8/30, 10pm, hit him up for tix) @LifeOfStJames on IG.
Now, stocks: market needs some Xanax (prescription, please, Dr. Fed).
How about Xanax for you? Be a bad ass and meditate. Afterwards, you'll realize
(1) Trump needs to get re-elected, so he's gonna do everything he can to avoid recession, and
(2) the Fed's gonna do everything they can to fix sh!t
Then we discussed the Trade War. Yo, these Hong Kong protesters? Not an accident that it is happening during the trade war. I think China's instigating now because they know Trump can't make a stink about it. Trump's got a trade war to try and win, so EFF sticking up for democracy. The Donald needs to make a deal!!
Then, we had an IG question from some listeners about what stocks to buy given this decline. And finally we talked to a couple of solid dudes from Activated Capital, Josh Burrell and Lane Campbell, who struck a deal with former NFL linebacker Derrick Morgan to launch a $200mm social impact fund. Make sure you check that interview out on Episode 55, coming Wednesday morning.
Relax and make some effing cheddar,
Peace,
Amer

What's up y'all Episode #52.

And I got a show coming up- here's a little plug. Thursday at the Comedy Clubhouse, August 9th at 10pm. I do some stand up there. So come out and check me out.
This episode was great. We talked about stocks. Why are they down the last five sessions? The Fed cut rates this week- isn't that supposed to be good for stocks? Well, we'll talk all about why the Fed cutting rates didn't work out the way everyone wanted it to.
Also, trade problems. Trump announced a 10% tax on 300 billion Chinese goods. Those are consumer goods. Let the games begin. We're about to start feeling this shit a lot more. This war keeps getting worse.
And then we answer some audience questions about stocks and taxes. We talked about buying gold and we talked about our thirst for technology versus our privacy getting invaded and monetized.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the episode.
Peace.

#51: Will Victoria FINALLY Tell Us Her *Secret*? With MY IMPROV TEAM As Guests!
Wazzup, wazzup,
Episode 51 - first episode of season TWO.
First, COME SEE ME DO STANDUP!
Two shows coming up:
- This Thursday 8/1 "The Comedy Tub" at Chicago Joe's (2256 W Irving Park Rd) 8pm FREE! (Det's here)
- Next Thursday @ Comedy Clubhouse (1462 N Ashland Ave) at 10pm Thursday August 8. $8 online, $12 at box office. (Det's here!)
Aiight, let's hit it: T-Mobile/Sprint
Q: What do you get when 2 half-idiots have a baby?
A: A Nextel Push-to-Talk comeback
Bill Barr & his boys finally approved the merger. Get ready for your cell phone bills to go up (yes, even AT&T and Verizon).
A huge company like that means
- more power to price-abuse customers (bc less competition)
- more power to bribe Congress
- more power to deliver sh!tty service
I do not like this merger (shocked, right?).
Next we jumped into talking about L Brands. Who??
These guys were originally behind The Limited, Abercrombie, Express, Structure, Lane Bryant. They currently own
- Bath and Body Works
- Pink
- and their crown jewel, Victoria's Secret.
Yo, shady stuff going on with CEO Leslie Wexler. This dude was boys with Jeff Epstein, super dangerous pedophile. Need I say more? Fine, I will. Jeff Epps was Leslie's "Personal Money Manager" aka Personal "I Got No Game" Manager. Leslie gave Jeff FULL Power of Attorney to basically use his name to do ANYTHING. Why? Well, Jeff used to falsely tell women he's a Talent Scout for Victoria's Secret, THEN sexually harass them. WTF? *cue Radiohead* That's ~100x worse than the creep at the bar that awkwardly tries to join your group of friends. Where there's smoke ........ there's fire. I think Leslie used Victoria's Secret for super sketchy purposes. Stay further away from this stock than you would if you saw Jeff Epstein at a bar.
Finally, we talked to my improv team about how to make some cash. Dan Baker, an advertising exec, broke it down: marketing and advertising is HOW you get cash in the door. Anyone who says "advertising doesn't work" lives under Bill Barr. Listen in to learn a bit from Dan on how to get creative with advertising.
Chill and make chedda,
Amer

#48 Millennials Unconsciously Bleed Money Everyday. Here's How to STOP with Cofield Advisors CEO
Don't know their profit margins.
Don't invest in stocks.
Don't plan for a big tax bill.
Don't take advantage of depreciation.
Millennials, WTF?!
Cofield from Cofield Advisors told us wassup on this episode.
Before that, tho, we started with Jony Apple-seed. Apple lost their most important dude, Jony Ive (Pronounced Johnny I've), who Steve Jobs called his "spiritual partner" (ie, get-blazed buddy). Apple stock was down as much as -2%.
As the Chief Design Officer, Jony's fingerprints are all over every product (creep): iMac, iPad, Apple Watch, and of course the iPhone. So who's gonna make the iSexRobot in 2021? Don't worry, Jony's opening a new design firm and Apple will be his first client. Bottom line: keep buying Apple stock. It's a long-term win as they rotate away from hardware towards services.
We then talked about interest rates DROPPING a lot! Mortgages, car loans, credit card debt - it's all going lower. Y'all need to be borrowing money and buying some kind of investment like a real estate property or a business. HURRY UP, that sh!t just got cheaper!!!
Finally we hit up Bitcoin, the F*CK IT currency. Should you be buying Bitcoin at 13 grand? Everyone should own at least a LITTLE BIT of BTC. Go open an account at Coinbase and join us in 2019 please, thank you.
Relax and make some effing cheddar,
Peace
Amer

#47: Prof. Faisal Schools Us on Scoopin Up $50k Properties for $10k from the City of Chicago!
Let's get straight to it:
(1) I need you to move yo' a$$ from a PAYCHECK mentality to a NET WORTH mentality!
(2) I need you to keep investing EVEN IF the stock market is at ALL-TIME record highs!
(3) I need you to learn how to get valuable Chicago properties for $2,000 (!!!) by becoming a "receiver" for the City of Chicago
Episode #47 was SUPER interesting - we taped from a men's retreat in Woodstock, IL. I'm a member of an org called MKP (the Mankind Project) and I helped run a training to teach 32 men leadership and emotional intelligence.
My boy J-Mo was bringin the ha-ha's (he got real - *vulnerability moment* - and shared that he was in the "wrong line" when they were handing out - ehem - junk).
We then talked to Mahmoud Faisal Elkhatib about scooping up abandoned Chicago properties on the CHEAP. He's a real estate attorney and a professor - and he TOTALLY schooled us on how to become a "receiver" so that YOU can scoop up properties on the cheap and then later sell them for 2x, 3x, or even 5x what you paid!
Bottom line: MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS IN THE *RIGHT* LINE!!!
Chillax and enjoy!
Peace
Amer
