Cyndi's Children's Church Lesson on Forgiveness
Summary of the Lesson on Forgiveness:
- Scripture: Matthew 6:12-13; Psalm 51
- In This Passage: Jesus sets the example of asking for forgiveness and for help resisting temptation. In Psalm 51, David confesses his greatest sins and asks God to give him a clean heart.
- Bible Point: Saying “sorry” is part of prayer.
- Saying “sorry” is part of prayer. Kids are definitely familiar with saying they’re sorry to their friends and siblings. They’ve probably been commanded to say they’re sorry often! But there’s a difference between saying “I’m sorry” and having a truly sorry heart. Help kids see that we can come before God with our sincere apologies for our sin, and he will always forgive us.

Cyndi's Message to Parents
Hey there mom’s and dad’s! I am not sure when you will discover this show, but I wanted to share with you how I envision you using this podcast with your children. As I am writing the content for this episode, it is March 18, 2020 and just about the entire United States is shut down due to the corona virus scare. This includes churches. You are more than likely here because you are hoping to somehow incorporate Christ into your home, because as of now, churches are closed.
In this episode, I talk about a few quick tips on how you can use this podcast with your children.
Bill's Devotional on Fasting
In this episode, Bill talks about creating an empty space for something better to come.
Bill's Devotional on Prayer
In this episode, Bill talks about opening ourselves to change and transformation.
Bill's Devotional on Meditation
In this episode, Bill talks about stepping away from our daily schedules to be set free from fear to receive a deeper peace.
Get to Know Your Hosts
Welcome to Montrose Zion’s first ever podcast episode. We decided to create a podcast so that we can continue to reach out to our congregation as well as others since churches have been shut down due to the corona virus. There are 3 hosts (I like to call them “characters”) that will be creating episodes for this show. There is Rev. Bill Liming, our minister, Jennifer Dyer our Director of Youth and Young Adults, and me, Cyndi Liming, the Children’s Ministry Director. When listening to this show, you will soon realize that not all episodes are for you. For example, most of my episodes will be directed towards school aged children in grades PS-5th grade. Jen’s episodes will mostly be directed towards youth ages 6th grade through high school, and Bill’s messages are directed towards the general congregation. So if you would be in the sanctuary on Sundays listening to his sermon, then his episodes are for you.
We hope you will find value in this style of learning and worship!
