Featuring Nick Duley

Nick started his career in HR with a security services company in the 90s.  While working as an Area Supervisor for the company he completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and HR Certificate and then used his education to obtain a position as Recruiter and HR Assistant.  Eventually Nick left the company and worked as a head-hunter for three years before moving into an HR Generalist position with a rapidly growing manufacturer.

In 2003 Nick was hired by an international business process outsourcing company as their Ontario HR Manager.  As the organization grew, he was promoted to Assistant Director, HR Canada where he supported HR functions at multiple centres across Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic Canada, and Costa Rica.

In 2010 Nick joined a large post-secondary institution as an HR Consultant, where he provided a full spectrum of HR support to a variety of internal client groups.  He additionally served as the Human Rights Officer for the institution, which allowed him to further develop his expertise with issues of accommodation, human rights, workplace harassment, as well as workplace investigations.

With more that 20 years of HR experience and having conducted workplace investigations for more than a decade Nick left the corporate world and started his own firm, North Shore HR Consulting in 2019.  Through North Shore HR Consulting, Nick and his associates work with larger public and private sector organizations to provide neutral, third-party workplace investigation services.  Nick also continues to provide focused HR support to a number of small to medium-sized companies.

Nick is based in Peterborough, Ontario, but services clients across Ontario from London to Ottawa.
