Wisdom & Growth, but first...Pain
Steve Harvey has said, "in all of life's adversity, you will find a lesson and a blessing. Pain will always leave you a gift." I heard his words after this episode was recorded, but it is so true and that is what we explore in this episode. How does life teach us? How can we pay attention? How do we share wisdom when our instinct as parents is to protect our kids from pain? Listen wherever you get your podcasts and remember to share with a friend who you think might get something out of this message as well. Thank you for listening and sharing with others. It really helps small podcasts like mine grow.
Curate Your Feed
At the start of a New Year, take a moment to cull your social media presence as well as your social interactions in person. Embracing the power and control we have over our environments is essential to leading the kind of lives we desire and deserve. Share Integrity Nachos with a friend who needs to hear this message and please subscribe, rate and review wherever you get your podcasts.
Trust Your Gut
Your gut, your inner knowing, your light team? Whatever you call it, take some time to reflect with me on the voice inside that sometimes is drowned out by the loud world we live in today. Listen and trust that all you know how to choose for you. Share this episode with someone who may need to be reminded to trust their gut.

Justice For ALL; The View From Here with archivist Vince Brooks.
A look at the history of the monuments and racism in Richmond, VA and beyond. Please don't miss this important conversation with someone who understands broadly the role of our individual perspectives in the history we choose to elevate, but also in the context in which that story is told. Further, how that shapes how we move forward.
These conversations are an important part of the change that is always happening as Vince so appropriately reminds us, "in order to form a more perfect union" clearly communicates that change is necessary to get the kind of country we were all promised and our framers aspired to in the ideals set forth in the Declaration of Independence.

Justice for ALL; The View From Here with Carrie Cheatham of Snail Mail.
In this second episode in our Justice for All Series, we discuss the experiences of refugees in the United States and around the world. We learn about Carrie's business Snail Mail and the various charitable organizations it supports with the current focus being International Neighbors.
In our discussion, we reference Myths about Refugees and a resource for that can be found HERE, although we both encourage listeners to do the work of finding the answer to all of their questions through their own searches. Keep being good neighbors to one another. It matters.

Justice for ALL; The View From Here with Abigail Thibeault
Join me in this first in the Justice for All; The View From Here episodes as Asst. Public Defender Abigail Thibeault shares her experiences as a public defender and explains how she came to decide this work was for her. We discuss racism, and racial inequalities in a justice system that as Abbey puts it, "feeds itself". At this moment when so many are screaming for long-overdue justice, it is powerful to sit with someone who is doing that work and feeling that frustration every day. Disclaimer: We don't solve the problem of racial inequality. We don't even come close, but these are the types of important and sometimes awkward and uncomfortable conversations that must be had in order to effect real systemic change in the minds and hearts in not only all of us but of those in power. We share our opinions and they are just that. Our intentions are purely for good and aimed at keeping the light shone on this topic that needs, demands, and deserves all of our attention.
