CAPSA Canada - Conversations of Substance
By CAPSA
We created this platform to talk about Substance Use Health ~ something that can be hard for many of us. There will be difficult questions about substance use that often don’t’ have easy answers.
Our aim is not to be confrontational, but also not to shy away from controversial ideas. We thank you for being open to hearing them.

Conversations Of Substance: S2E2 - With Guest Dr. Peter Cornish
This podcast episode is with Dr. Peter Cornish, an Honorary Research Professor at Memorial University in Newfoundland. He's also the Co-Director of Student Mental Health at the University of California Berkeley.
Dr. Cornish developed Stepped Care 2.0, which is exploring new ways to cut wait times for Mental Health and Substance Use Health services.
He says this strategy offers a buffet of options outside of having to wait for an appointment with a specialist.
Conversations Of Substance: S2E1 - With Guest Gord Garner
We're rebooting CAPSA's podcast for 2023 with our new host ~ Sherry Huff! Sherry is our new VP of Communications who comes from a long and successful career as a journalist and communications specialist.
This year's first episode is Gord Garner, the original host of #ConversationsofSubstance. In this conversation, Gord & Sherry explore why many of us still don't talk about Substance Use Health and what effect this can have on our overall well-being.
Enjoy!
