Another ACC Champion for T&F
The crew is back after taking last week off for the Kentucky Derby. There aren't a ton of results to talk about, but the guys (missing Daryl) talk about some postseason awards, other news around campus, and UofL's newest ACC Champion, Jayden Ulrich.

Lacrosse Season Ends; Softball Slumps
There are three on hand today as various things keep Jared and Daryl away. The guys cover trees, phones, and Derby parties before tackling the actual topics of the week. Lacrosse advanced in the ACC tournament for the first time under Scott Teeter before falling to top-seeded Syracuse, and softball lost a game they should have won.
We're off next week for Derby!

Tough Losses for the Cards
Things get a bit off the rails early in what feels like an "after dark" episode of the Cardinal Couple Radio Hour Podcast. The crew can only delay the inevitable for so long before discussing the latest saga in the alarming softball slump and the hard fought loss for lacrosse. The skies brighten at the end of the show with excitement about volleyball.

Yes, We're Mad About the WBB Upset
Paulie is conveniently without internet this week so he gets to skip out on the coverage of yesterday's loss in the NCAA Tournament. The crew has trouble finding their joy in the discussion of that and the recent run of trouble for UofL Softball. All that and more this week.

Louisville Bows Out of ACC Tourney
It's another full house this week and the crew spends a great deal of time avoiding the elephant in the room. The joy and excitement is hard to come by in discussions of Louisville WBB but they turn it around with volleyball, softball, and lacrosse.

Women's Basketball Enters the Home Stretch as Spring Sports Kick Off
With Case out for the week, a surprising foursome on the show as Paulie starts to dip his toe back into participation with Cardinal Couple after his time out for health reasons. It's great to have our leader's voice back on the show and to hear his insights.
A quick visit to Softball and Lacrosse as they begin their season this week, and then coverage and thoughts on WBB as they've started down the home stretch, with a whole series of top-level competitors, of the season with thoughts of post-season play starting to be considered.
UofL Drops First Conference Game
The crew is three strong again today, and they've got plenty to cover. Louisville lost it's first conference game this week, falling on the road to UNC before bouncing back at home against Boston College. UofL also hosted its Spring Sports Media Day and PVF is fully in action.

Louisville WBB Keeps Winning
Jeff and Case are joined by Daryl this week as the show rolls on in the heart of basketball season. This week, the Cards played just one game, but that doesn't keep the crew from spending 40 minutes talking about it.

Welcome to 2024
With Paulie out on hiatus and Jared and Daryl otherwise occupied, Case and Jeff hold down the fort alone. The guys enter the show not sure if they'll fill an hour, but they manage to find plenty to talk about with two basketball wins, a trip down memory lane, and chatter about tire pressure alerts.

WBB Wins Big and Volleyball Looks for a Big Win
A thin crew is made thinner by some technical difficulties and scheduling concerns but they endeavor ever onward. Mixed groupings of Paulie, Jared, and Case look at the week that was with the end of field hockey's season, wins for UofL WBB, and a big match for volleyball against Pitt.

Field Hockey and Volleyball Fall
Louisville field hockey broke their losing streak by beating Boston College last week and then followed it up with another win over the Eagles on Halloween. Unfortunately, the good vibes ended when they lost to Duke in the ACC Semifinals. While field hockey awaits their fate for the NCAA Tourney, volleyball will stew over the missed opportunity to take control of the ACC title outright after their loss to Georgia Tech. All that and more this week.

Fall Seasons Winding Down

Volleyball Wins Battle of the Bluegrass

Summer Slump Winds Down
It's been another long summer for the Cardinal Couple Crew, but the doldrums are coming to a close. A survey across most UofL women's sports
The CCRHP crew takes a jog along just about all of Floyd Street as they cover tidbits and treats from most of the UofL women's sports programs. Personnel changes in Softball, Women's Basketball, Women's Soccer, and Lacrosse are in the run down, along with a brief recap of Volleyball in Brazil.
Wedding Trumpets, local Softball, foreign Volleyball, and local Basketball, and Millenials
The Cardinal Couple Crew once again gets together to discuss Summer things like weddings, summer excursions, local connections being built in a couple of UofL sports programs, and more.
After a diversion into the differing approach that Millineals have to the world than previous generations, Jared, Jeff, and Paulie talk about the impact that the volleyball trip to Brazil will have on the team in the fall, and whether that program has to potential to take another, final step to the top of the heap come December. They next delve into Softball pitching, starting from Brooke Gray's imminent arrival on campus in the fall and explore how the game of Softball has changed with respect to pitching. Finally the trio explores the local connections for Basketball and celebrate what seems to be some improved relations between the UofL program and local high schools.
Summer Travels and Events
A hearkening back to the old days of the basement on a hill as Paul and Jeff look at what comes next for Softball, with a dive into the incoming freshman class for UofL Softball and how it does, or doesn't, backfill the departing skillsets. They also share some news of Cards in the Pros, from Softball and Volleyball, bring a quick update of the Volleyball team's trip to Brazil, the Basketball team's upcoming trip to Canada, and a hint of some news in the Lacrosse Coaching staff.
We celebrate and congratulate the happy couple, Jared and Katy, on their wedding later today.
And the cake.
The Summer Slump Begins
It's another light crew as Jeff, Jared, and Case hold down the fort in the first real week of the summer slump. The guys cover more accolades for spring athletes, pro Cards in women's basketball, and some of the women's college world series. They also devote a disproportionate amount of time to restroom and sun path layouts in stadiums and race tracks.

Spring Sports Recap
The athletic calendar is getting pretty sparse as the spring sports close out their competition for the year.
Jared, Jeff and Paul take the opportunity to review the overall seasons and successes, particularly for Softball and Lacrosse. They also share about ongoing competition for a handful of Track and Field Athletes, and finally, but definitely not any less importantly, they sing the academic praises of the various athletic programs at UofL, and particularly the women's programs.
Softball in the NCAA Tournament
With just UofL Softball in action this week, it's a pretty short list of topics. The guys talk about the loss in the NCAA opener and briefly look ahead at Saturday's continuing games. After that, there is basketball and volleyball national team news before final thoughts.
Check out daily columns celebrating the joy and excitement of Louisville women's athletics at the Cardinal Couple website.
Spring Sports Winding Down
The end of the 2022-2023 athletic year is almost upon us, but the crew still has events to talk about. After their win streak was halted by three close games on the road to close the season against FSU, Louisville softball was bounced from the ACC tournament in their first game. The crew talks about the last couple of weeks after having last week off for the Kentucky Derby. With other spring sports wrapping up and the softball team awaiting their NCAA tournament fate, there's still plenty to cover.

Softball Still on a Tear; HVL Fallout
Louisville softball won their seventh straight game with a run rule of Boston College. They've turned up the heat on the season recently and the crew talks about their successes and prospects going forward. It's impossible to ignore the news of HVL's transfer destination, so they cover that as well, along with a bit of discussion of the current roster.

Questions abound, Softball plays a weird weekend schedule, and plenty of other news
The gang discusses the results of games from Softball, including a walk-off steal of home - check that off your bingo card if you've got it - a Lacrosse heartbreaker against Cincinnati, and Fall sports exhibition play. They also take a few minutes to share some thoughts about mass shootings in general, and specifically the one that occurred on Monday in downtown Louisville, as it hits close.
There were several other discussions, such as how much success should we expect from Softball playing Oklahoma, the number one team in the country; is this season the time to make a coaching change in Lacrosse; and how and where to find parking today with so many events going on along Floyd Street.
Add in a few news and notes from Volleyball and it was a good show. Check it out!
HVL in the Portal; Spring Sports Soldier On
This week's show was a bit derailed by breaking news. Hailey Van Lith has announced that she is transferring from the University of Louisville. Conversation about that development takes up the majority of the show, but the guys manage to look at the recent results and upcoming games for softball and lacrosse.

April fun in an early show with Basketball, Softball, Lacrosse, and other Exhibition Play
It may be April Fool's Day, but no tricks here other than an early start because of crew availability reasons. The winters are all over and we talk a bit about the wrap up of UofL basketball for the season. Daryl goes on an excellent rant about TV coverage and officiating handling of media darling players.
We talk about Softball, and some of the players that are stepping up and having an impact for Holly Aprile's team, Lacrosse, and a bit about Volleyball spring exhibition play.
Louisville Advances to Fifth Straight Elite Eight
Louisville took a big win over Ole Miss in the NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen Friday night and advance to the Elite Eight against Iowa. The crew talks about that game in depth with passing discussions of Lacrosse and Softball as well.
